Ok, Transformers the movie was not scary. Literally the five minute scene where Unicron reformats megatron into Galvatron and creates Cyclonus and Scourge is better than all five Michael Bay movies put together. I don't get how Rotten tomatoes gave The first Michael bay transformers movie a higher rating than the 1986 movie.

I remember watching The Witches late at night one night when I was around 10 or 11. I was alone, expecting it was just going to be a cute disney channel movie. But that scene was tortuous for me beyond belief. I am still scarred by it, lol.

The buried underground scene from Watership Down is indeed the most chilling. It makes the villain Woundwort seem almost angelic compared to being trapped underground and dying in terror. It's the kind of fate I wouldn't wish for on my worst enemy. Even just seeing a clip of this makes me feel unnerved. I just hate the feeling.

I love the 80s Don Bluth films. They were darker and more mature than the Disney films of the time so they appealed to both adults and kids. Plus the animation for all of them are gorgeous plus the music is top notch. If I ever make an animated film I'm going to make it like a 80s Don Bluth film.

it was an underated film and not well known of film from Jim henderson (the guy who creates The MUPPETS) film gets really dark towards the end, when some of the random characters start dying or dropping dead due to their linked connection with each others souls. each good character is linked to a bad character and vice versa.

The most traumatic scene from my childhood memories isn't from a movie, but a book. "Where the Red Fern Grows" has the most graphic, bloody, brutal fight scene I've ever read, and it's supposed to be for kids. There's blood squirting everywhere, screams of agony, and intestines tangled up in a bush. That shit traumatized me when we had to read it in school.
@YamiSpyroX
@YamiSpyroX 7 лет назад
Dear lord! That sounds almost as scary as Wings of Fire and that's a "Kids Fantasy Book series" traumatized me as a 19 year old! There's no intestines flying out but it still has screams of agony, skin melting/burning, limb severing and decapitation all in just half the 1st book! Was your book Scholastic published like Wings of Fire, cause that would really explain how something as horrific and gruesome was allowed to be read/distributed for a grade school class.

Kyla Otey I've never read Warriors but I plan to partly so Wings of Fire will scare me less. Amongst the creepiest books I read back in my school days were Series of Unfortunate Events, How to Train Your Dragon, Bone, Varjack Paw, The Edge Chronicles, and Elf Quest. They had some seriously scary imagery and topics despite them being kids books.(Elf Quest wasn't meant for kids but I read it and loved it anyway)

Jimmy Wallace I am surprised about that, too. A friend of mine said the flying monkeys scared her so much when she was younger. The movie personally gave me a fear of twisters which I still. But the movie is outstanding nonetheless.

The WTF-ometer: (i.e. WTF were they thinking putting this in a kids film) 1:41 - 3/10 (Jump scares in a kids film) 2:24 - 0.5/10 (not exactly scary) 3:36 - 4/10 (creepy as all hell) 4:25 - 3.5/10 (creepy for an entirely different reason - spiders and demonic owls) 5:27 - 6/10 (the makeup, someone went all out on the shit ur pants aesthetics) 6:50 - 5.5/10 (the mere concept of the character) 7:45 - 2/10 (scary for people with hydrophobia, and some haunting imagery of Poseidon coming to get you) 8:53 - 7.5/10 (stop motion + creepy plan = scary concept) 9:26 - 9/10 (an accurate depiction of hell, in a kids film!) 10:54 - 11/10 (Seriously. Which animator thought this shit was PG?! This is terrifying!)
