I liked them all and looking from across the pond I'll never get to experience them but I have a preference of loop trails rather than out and back. The Island walk particularly stood out to me but I have one question. Can we have our Tea back now please?😉
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling Loop trails are so much fun. But when one's filming out and back is n ice since you get to do half the work bahah. Sure take it we like our Dunkin Donuts coffee more anyways! lol
Very nice - thank you! You've found a niche in creating great videos to show day hikes and walks that are unique, even when some are so close by and more urban. Count me as one who finds them more interesting and helpful for planning and inspiring my own day hikes.
@@Amy-gi7jo Thank you so much Amy! I have been enjoying this niche as well. Nothing like helping inspire others and giving good info and ideas to help plan hikes of all kinds even close by to where people are already living. Sometimes its nice not to have to drive hours and hours to the mountains to get a nice day hike in! Happy hiking!
Thank you Adam! I watched when my husband and I headed to Maine and did a hike. Watching you again since we are headed with the kiddos to Boston for the summer. Thank you for all the info! Keep them coming :)
thanks for another great video. I see that you're wearing a brace on you left knee. From the way you walk it looks like you have same problem as me. I wear one as well especially when hiking on rough terrain
Glad you enjoyed the video! Ahh yes wearing a brace because I tore My ACL. There's a bit more information about the situation in the community tab. Surgery coming up in August! Hopefully I heal up soon!
I love your videos! I'm somewhat new to hiking, but my goal is to hike a trail in every city and town in MA. So far this year I have done 26 different hikes/trails throughout MA. Most of them have been pretty easy because I always take my kids, who are 3 and 5. I've been wanting to do Boston for a while now so thank you for posting this to give me some ideas!! I also love your NH hiking videos, hiking the presidential range is a bucket list goal for me so seeing your experiences in those hikes helps me to somewhat understand what I'll be up against when that time comes!
Thank you so much for your comment. I always love hearing when the videos truly help people find cool places to hike and inspire them to hit the trails! Glad I could help give you some ideas to hike with your kids! O you'll definitely be able to make it someday. Plus I think there are definitely some easier trails you could tackle up there, not all of them are as crazy as some of the ones I've explored. Though they do make for better videos haha
I absolutely love this list! They really are such beautiful trails/scenes. I was lucky enough to see most of them by just poking around Boston with friends over the years. The docks at the Esplanade are so fun to just chill out on. Deer Island is new to me, though, and will def check it out sometime. Thank you for sharing!! :)
Glad you like them! It was my first time out in deer island as well and I really loved it! I had so much fun exploring new places I had never been making this list.
Nice to see you dropping vlogs again Adam. I really enjoyed all of these. Will they be featured in their own vlogs or do they already exist on the channel? I see you have your left knee in a support, everything OK? I especially love the blossom in Spring.
Thanks for the nice Comment Chris! So I do not think I will be featuring these in their own videos. I did that previously with the Cape cod video's and the comprehensive video performed better in totality compared to all the separate ones I also released. Maybe because people had already seen the footage previously lol. For how much extra work that is to cut 10 individual videos its not worth it haha. Yes so that is also why you have not seen me in a bit my ACL is injured so I cannot hike actual mountains at the moment. See the community tab for more details on that whole situation. Excited I was able to find trails that I could still complete in my diminished state. Happy Hiking!

These are great! Can you suggest some of the starting points or access points for these walks? New "ish" to Boston and exploring. We do have a car but also like to take the T to some of these if possible.
Hi Erica! So for all my videos I would usually have a trailhead address in the description but with so many hikes all in jne video that would be cumbersome and I didn’t include it. There is however links to individual AllTrails maps for each hike I did that starts from my starting point and is the same starting points you would have seen when the map “drew itself” in the video. But when I get home from work I’ll add addresses to the descriptions of the maps in AllTrails as well. That’s a good idea. Happy hiking! If you’re new to mass and want to explore feel free to peruse the “Massachusetts hiking playlist” on my channel or check out also the “top 10 best waterfall hikes in mass” as well!
@@AdamHoyt Thank you! I didn't think of looking at the map that it drew for a potential starting point, appreciate you getting back to me. I will check out your hiking playlist!
Hey I just went on a Sunday and parked in a free meter spot next to the ef education building. If you look in the description of this video there should be a link to the custom AllTrails map I made for the salon bridge park
Adding these to the list to do with my wife on her mobility scooter. Any of these have accessibility issues? The Boston Harbor walk I saw stairs, but I'm betting there is a way around some of that. Also where would I look to make sure they are legal to bike? Her scooter is faster than my legs, so I prefer to bike with her.
Yes these trails would be great for the two of you! Let me look back over the list of the ones in the video. I don't think any of the trails mentioned have parts that are stairs only. The stairs you might have seen in the seaport section are to get to the top of a building lookout but the rest of the actual trail is on the ground and just sidewalks. All the rest of the trails are paved and on the ground. If memory serves if there are stairs there are other paths or routes around them to bypass them. For example the part of the esplanade closest to the water has bridges with stairs but one of the bridges in the middle is purely a sloped bridge with no stairs. So you would need to enter and exit from that one bridge vs the walk through that I did. I hope you enjoy them as Much as I did. I think you two would love deer Island Definitely bike friendly there. I can't speak to how bike friendly some of the others are but I'm sure you could look it up!
