Saki’s Kasumi has always gave me a sense of dread due to the fact he fills the entire screen with black! Thank you for making this list, Shoryugame! This is one of your most creative yet!
I'm surprised we didn't get a screen-filling super that could actually harm epilepsy to you. Then again in hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been very nice.
Pretty good list as always Shoryu , don't forget the top 10 Rushdowners list , btw since Gta VI is coming soon what is your favourite Gta game and why ? Just curious 🤔🤔🤔
Surprised you didn't mention K9999's HSDM from vanilla 2k2. That one had one of the weirdest super inputs too lmao. Also the thing about both Orochi and Mukais screen filling supers is the fact that in gameplay, they come out super fast, in other words-- not enough window to react to it.
Although K9999 and his wicked arm will always be my favorite, I'd say Kula's is the best of the bunch. It's so easy to just make a super that looks cool, but hers goes even further. The fact that you get to see Kula's whole little family in action while also getting a taste of her true power is satisfying from a gameplay, visual, and story perspective all at once. That kind of thing is HARD to make happen, and her 'execution' is flawless.
As always it's a great video but in kof 14 Mature's climax move is pretty dastardly and she trap you with some kind of webs when she make herself beautiful.
If youre talking about SFIII and Gill, its basically an unofficial KOF saga. First game introduces protag (Alex), second game the rival (Hugo) and the third an Iori Yagami look alike (Remy).
Great video, although yoy forgot about K9999's 2nd HSDM which was also a reference to Akira and used to fill.the screen there is also Clone Zero, O.Zero and Krizalid (who had a screen filling HSDM in 2k2Um)
I was in the arcade amazed by KOF XI and watching all the players and me too lose to magaki all of us puzzled 🤔 and I only saw one player beat magaki fun memories
10:59 I love how Saiki makes fun of that phrase in kof XIII: 'Now, return to nothing'? Very well! I'll return you, Orochi and human history to nothing all at once!
Wow, Shoryu! What a good category and great idea! I'll start watching! 1st edit: my fave one will always be Étoile filante. 2nd edit: Mukai's LDM looks stunning. 3rd edit: Freeze execution is really missed! The KOF XI iteration is the best by far. 4th edit: I am sooooo shocked Étoile filante didn't make the top 10! Great video, Shoryu!
What's so funny is Orochi gets the #1 spot and that wasn't him at his full strength. Can you imagine that super if the Hakkessu's plan had worked? A fully resurrected Orochi would be no joke! My favorite though is still Takuma! That is a awesome super. Thanks for the vid Shoryu!
I didn't know the name of Igniz's super so I looked it up, thinking it is a really brutal super. Turns out it's called "Brutal God Project". I don't know who I hate more between Magaki and Igniz.
I thought full-screen supers were normal till I started playing other fighting games, and then came to the realisation that it was mostly a boss-thing cuz ya know, SNK boss syndrome.
This video recalled my childhood memory when I fought my way up to Orochi for the first time in my local arcade. His first Marokare actually sent chill down my spine as if I was really facing an almighty entity ❤️.
I still remember the first time I saw Orochi's special move. I was a kid watching my neighbourg playing an arcade machine and reaching the final boss for the first time. It was the moment I fell in love with this game.
The Iron Man inspired redesign only came in KOFXIV. In KOF Max Impact he was positioned to rival Tekken's Jack due to his body size, cyborg back story and moves, complete with his own Dr. Boskonovitch (Dr. Makishima).
The most annoying to me definitely is Magaki, not only can he cancel it and hit right before you get knocked down, he can also chain multiple ones...at least it's a Leader Move and spends 2 metter 😂
