That Holden wagon is super cool! Even if it wasn't so fast, it's still the one I like! That does it! Hemi head slant sixes, super cool wagons and utes, Australia kicks ass! Hello from America!
Sleeper | “Often referring to what appears to be an ordinary looking stock commuter car that is anything but stock under the hood. Pretty much the exact opposite of your everyday riced up 86.”
My 420hp (highschool sleeper) 82 gmc pickup was white with primer grey and bondo sploches people thought it was a pile of crap ... because it was but atleast it had some power
MostlyIrishCarGuy I don’t know about that they usually do for both if their racing or the looser if they don’t pull over he’s easier to catch as he isn’t as fast and he will give up the other guy!
Sick, some very cool rides in that vid!!! Loved the Kingswood, that was badass as fuck. Was surprising how quick the R33 was when it looked so stock under the hood. And the 120Y, that would embarrass so many people in LS power Commodores that think they are untouchable- as do the XR- 6 turbo guys, this thing would make them cry
Ah the good old Kingswood. A family car that was just for, well, the family. But then the Commodore came, and good old Brocky changed it to the car we all love and know.
Pfft, not really. R33s and R31s are all over the place, R32s and R34 coupes are much rarer. Fast R33s are rare though. Most of them are N/A, auto, GTS-spec cars that look quick but get the doors blown off them by stock TJ Magnas and AU Falcon utes.
Fullbost, MTQ Engine Systems in Townsville have a beige 60 series landcruiser 2h diesel with triple compound turbos running high twelves. That makes the sleeper list in my opinion.
I saw quite a few high horsepower cars without proper suspension and chassis mods to support such power. Look at all that body roll on launch. No wonder they keep wondering over into the other lane.
great video bud.. love that bronco lol and I wonder how the r33 can look so stock under the hood? sure you can do internals and gain big power but no intake plenum, cai, big single turbo? whatever homie did is definitely done right
dude a ke70 rolla has like 100hp but is still a magnet because people hoon them, its not how fast they are stock its how much their visual attention they bring
the thing is "sleeper" will be totally different on every continent/country. I live in Thailand and what happens here has nothing to do with Japanese sleepers. still a cool video and a bunch of kickass cars😈
That track isn't ANDRA certified, so they don't care. Even the ones that are have fixed some of their stupid rules, with WSID now allowing all the way down to a 10.00 assuming you're in something newish.
Skyline not a sleeper. Its a sports car. Ls1 convertions are really not that cheap. If they were we all would do it. I'm just glad my ss came with it from factory.
since they make 160kw stock and the majority of them that are seen on the road everyday are close to stock. not saying that they dont have lots of potential to make morre but most people dont go further than around 200kw
Soon as i saw the skyline in the video i checked the comments, sure enough 3rd comment down haha! Rather than answer that id ask you, since when is a 14 second car fast?
People for some reason think skylines are fast, same with supras. Look, Merica, we get it, you want what you can't really have ...yet. But just like every car, you can modify it if you have some what knowledge. If I were in America I'd own an S Chassis and swap in a LS series engine... seeing as they are easily available.
Most 33s are tame daily drivers, teenagers' first cars or autos driven by women who want something that "looks sporty". Most fast Skyline builds are 32s.
The California Garage technically it's a disadvantage because as the car launches and the weight of the car is transferred back the front wheels lose grip. that's why fwd tends to roast it's tires more on launch
Lots of engine upgrades with no chassis upgrade. If it turns right immediately, change something so it doesn't do that. You'll notice the cars that are built for speed don't do that i.e. the car in the thumbnail (skyline)
