Companies just left the market. However, their factories have appropriated internal Russian companies and will sell products under their own brand. The important thing here is not to "leave the Russians without Coca-Cola!!!!". Here, it is important whether this company pays taxes to the Russian budget on its own. If not, no problem.
Like, it doesn't matter under which brand you sell products, you will still be subject to sanctions, and you can also probably get into several scandals and get the achievement "sponsor of international terrorism", which will not be very good for sales and image of the company.
@@oz_jones It's not. I was invented by a German scientist for Coca Cola during WWII because they didn't have the ingredients for Coke and that way they could still sell their product in Germany. But it was never owned by a German company or even the government.
Lipton didn't leave Russia, Dr. Pepper didn't leave Russia, Monster didn't leave Russia, Pepsi didn't leave Russia, and Coca Cola just changed the name. I'm a soda connoisseur, I would've known the difference, but Cola is literally the same. Edit: Wasn't sure so I double checked - Nescafe also hasn't left Russia
None of them left Russia. They just rebranded. McDonald's changed their colours from red and orange to green and white and removed the Golden arches logo fron the stores but they are identical
@@remlo5482in the U.S., "soft drink" refers to soda particularly. I'm sure it's different in other places though. BUT, powder sure as hell ain't even fit in the "drink" category 😂

It is said the term originated to distinguish between alcoholic drinks and other drinks.. Instant coffee very much fits on the list, it had no alcohol in the original product.
@@alexbrennan5985 Soft drinks are more commonly thought of as pop, yes, but it doesn't change the fact it is other drinks too. SOFT drinks, it's not HARD liquor/alcohol.
I dont get why people get so angry gor selling soft drinks and food in russia, like how is that supporting their economy in any way? It's just making basic foods etc available to the public LMAO

Yup, not supporting the war. Funding a company that payes taxes to russian gov, which is used on war is not good, my family stopped buying russian things too. @@batrongordeg the only drink from this list that left Russia is gatorade so it looks like he funded the war anyway if he cares that much why isnt he there
@Batrongordeg Well, most companies just rebrand their name and ""fund the war"", also starving the civilian population is something I don't agree with.
Well it’s his video, so he can do whatever he wants. But technically speaking - Coke and Pepsi "Left" Russia but they are still selling a lot of different products(Including lipton, that is available to this day) And coke became "Dobriy Cola". So to include or exclude any product based on this factor alone is, in my opinion, not a very bright idea. Big companies only care about profits and image. Sooo.. Yeah.
While this is true, he doesn't care and just wants all the companies to "leave" Russia. Even thought all of this only affects the average russian person, but the people who started the war are not even affected
Hey Max, I am sorry to disappoint you, but none of these brands actually left Russia, they only rebranded, so they publicly dont associate with the country.
Nor should they. Governmental sanctions hurt governments, not companies leaving. That just makes people already suffering there (more than golden boy max could ever dream of), suffer even more. He's very pompous and immature when it comes to russia ukraine. One step away from being a full blown anti russia racist
At least we don’t gotta respect dum ppl. Not only is he wrong, he is incapable of identifying a soft drink. If powdered coffee is on the list, we don’t gotta respect that.
Fun thing that no brand has “left” Russia since 2022, some brands officially just changed their name, or import their drinks from other countries through their sub-companies and some such as Lipton haven’t changed their name at all, what a 🤡😂
@@vardenispavardenis0111 prime is a drink company started by two influencers, since it’s release it’s been an insanely fast growing company because most of their audience is younger people who beg their parents for it whenever they see it at the store, when it was released the hype to try it caused it to sell out quickly and people on the internet started buying a bunch of prime and selling it online to make a profit, which made it even more rare for a while, it’s like a watered down Gatorade and is mostly carried by RU-vidrs supporting and getting sponsored by it which extends the reach to more audience, so it’s a pretty popular energy drink
Prime isnt on the list, he just didnt buy redbull cuz they didnt leave selling in russia, so they picked prime instead as a replacement even though number 3 is redbull
