TubeBeky Okay, so this guy Allen Iverson was on the Philadelphia 76ers for a time. Genius player, arguably one of the best shooting guards of all time. From 1998-2005, he was the "it player" for the 76ers. He was the Lebron and Kobe of the team. Fact is, he was also one of the biggest nuts in sports for the era. His attitude wasn't the best, and he always thought his talent would outshine any misgivings. For a time, it did. Then the "Practice" interview changed all that. It's not that he was arrogant or enraged; more so, he was just confusing. Like, he had ascended to a higher level of thinking where team practice was a foreign concept. Since then, all of Philadelphia has embedded the phrase "We're talkin' 'bout practice" into their lexicon. This is a team that had Andre Iguodala, Charles Barkley, Moses Malone, Hal Greer, Wilt Chamberlain, and Julius Erving on the roster throughout their history. The last four are on an official list of the 50 Greatest Players. And Iverson's personality at the time eclipsed them all.

Richard Shermans "Crabtree" speech always suprised me, since he has a reputation as being a really nice guy. I live near Seattle and he's made quite a few visits to Children's Hospital in Seattle and he regularly does events for the Make A Wish Foundation. The rant seemed really out of character

I'm sorry but Sherman gets way too much credit for that deflection. Sherman got lucky, watch it over and over and realize if Smith wasn't in the back of the endzone, Michael Crabtree could of dove and caught that ball. He was still balanced while Sherman was extremely off balance. If it weren't for Smith, Crabtree woulda been the hero.

Actually he had 34 catches, less than 500 yards and 1 td catch in the 8 games he played in that year, 5 regular season and 3 postseason. Don't talk about shit if you don't know it, that is not even close to what an #1 wr in an nfl offense is expected of, even in the games he played in. So....

Ok well that was a year before so I don't see how that is relevant to saying that he was one of the top receivers in the league at the end of the 13-14 season when most would have labeled him as a sub par #1 wideout in the NFL at that time

Xavier Rolando Nick Foles had one of the top 13-14 seasons out of all QB's. 27 TD's to 2 picks. Tell me why he is no longer in Philly? Because that year is largely seen as a fluke and he seriously underperformed this past year. No one considers him to be a top QB in the league now, just 1 season removed. This is the same thing as Crabtree. Crabtree had a strong year in 12-13 though not at the same level as the best wideouts, then one year later he had a bad season, and at that point, no one would have said that he was a top receiver in the league. I mean, maybe ha cracks the top 50 at that point but that is a very loose definition of being a top receiver.

There's a video clip I saw growing up, probably in the mid-90s, that I would love to see again. There was a coach, or other major figure in college sports (basketball, or perhaps football) who becomes so angry at a press conference that he becomes nearly incoherent with rage, and I think some woman comes up to calm him down. When shown later, maybe in a "best of the year" countdown or something, the host simply responds with "Ohhhhkay."
