"Voe and You" class was an amazing addition - the whole village was a standout in BoTWto me.

I like that Bolson hangs around Links house, he’s gone so much trying to save Hyrule that I like to think that Bolson stays around to watch the house and make sure it’s taken care of

An interesting fact about Moza is that if you follow her "recipes", the resulting Dubious Food will actually be better than regular Dubious Food.

When I heard the rumors about who the previous owner of the house was, I was so sad XD. Poor Link went to war, almost died, and lost all his friends and now his (probable) house was being torn down and he had to buy it back. My man can't catch a break.

Is no one gonna mention that hino also predicts the blood moon every time? If you talk to him during the day before a blood moon he somehow always knows it’s coming. There are literally no signs of it during the day

When I first started playing my friend kept telling me how scary guardians are, after I encountered my first guardian and successfully killed it without dying, I started to love guardians and would willing go out of my way to fight them. So when I heard of loone I was like “that will be my best friend”

I honestly like that Bolson is always sitting there it’s weirdly comforting

One thing I don’t see people talking about a lot is how that character who loses his Cuccos says “a Cucco that doesn’t fly is just a glorified chicken” which must mean that Cuccos are more than just the hyrulian version of a chicken

I was honestly expecting the melon-eating Gerudo woman hanging out by the roofs to be on this list haha. I was walking by the water canals and saw a 'leaf' and bored at that point in the game i followed it until it fell into one of the reservoirs. I saw three other pieces and realized they were eaten melon skins when i zoomed in with my camera. I tracked back to where it came from and there she sat, eating an infinite amount of melons like no tomorrow. It even had custom animations too which was neat to see.

12:50 I can't believe I didn't notice it before, but he got a yiga clan looking tea bag around his neck. Now my head cannon's that he's a relatively peaceful yiga that just peacefully disturbs link by squatting on his land.

Hmm. I went to find Bolson to invite him to the wedding and it was night time. He and Karson were asleep in one of the new build houses before the bridge to Link's house. I wonder if they live there together and hang out in front of the cooking pot all day just eating and watching the river. A charmed life!

fun fact, if you go into Risa’s house at night time you can see her practice talking to a voe on a dummy, and if you talk to her she gets all mad and defensive telling you to leave. I learned this the hard way lol

The first time the flower girl attacked in my game, I did get a Game Over. She can and will kill you if your health is low enough.

I think Beedle is affiliated with the Yiga, therefore he technically works for Ganon, and it is very suspicious that he makes an attempt on Link's life by dropping him out of an airship

I never realized there was so much Bolson discourse lol I loved the guy I never minded him hanging out Someone's gotta watch over my wall loot

I personally liked Bolson and his crew around, It brings a bit more life to Link’s isolated part of Hateno Village

Honestly, I think Magda’s psycho music is my favorite song in the game. The fact that they made a song that only gets used once in the entire game, just for this npc’s special cutscene, is so funny to me.

Wait a minute… Beedle was alive in both Skyward Sword AND Breath of the wild?!?! Omg, I’ve just realized…. He’s used the beetles to stay alive for the whole time! THAT is the true horror…

Hino is the only character with a different color text when not speaking to him, like the little chat bubble next to his head when approaching

Another cool thing about Hino is that one of his dialogues during a normal night is that he says that the moon is so full it looks like it could fall out of the sky which I think is a cool little reference to Majoras Mask.

The fact that Ashai is giving classes on male/female relationships shows just how serious the Gerudo actually take towards not just the continuation of their culture, but also future happiness of the next generation. Yeah, they're warriors but they're also people with wants and needs. Risa has stupid answers, but she's seeing the situations as a warrior would rather than as a person. At least she's aware she needs these classes since she's actually acting like all the bad things outsiders consider the Gerudo women, which in OoT was a very real thing.

one mildly weird but lovable character that sticks in my mind is sophie. she owns the armor shop in hateno and just chills in her little corner by the door because it makes her feel confident. she’s so cute to me whenever i have excess gems or hit the wrong part of a dragon i try to sell the things to her since she’s so sweet and i want her to have my cool stuff. i nominate sophie for best girl in the game tbh

Link: I want to save Zelda as soon as possible, even a moment sooner. Also Link: becomes a drug dealer, takes cooking lessons from a crazy person on a mountain, cross dresses to sneak into a town, denies shopkeeper insects, tries to get rid of squatters, herds extremely dangerous cuckoos, audits a class, gets annihilated by a gardener, observes a man with a possible case of mild lycanthropy, and takes creeper pictures of robots

Flowerblight ganon, the most powerful person in the world even link himself ran in fear of her power. Calamity ganon wouldn’t dare to face her wrath

I personally think beedle is an immortal extradimensional being similar to mxyzptlk from dc comics, and his fascination with beetles is because they’re the only things he can’t create

But at night Bolson and Karson walk to the buildings across the bridge from links house and you can see them sleeping. So maybe that campfire is just their hangout spot and they like it too much to leave. Their still weird though.

The bolson bro's are one of my favorite npcs in botw. Most npc's in this game have more detail and character than even Mipha or Ganon. But sink in the fact that Moza defeated a Lynel with a pot and a spoon. She even draws and sheaths them like a weapon. ᵃˡˢᵒ ᵗʰᵉ ʷᵒᵐᵉⁿ ⁿᵖᶜˢ ᵃʳᵉ ᵏⁱⁿᵈᵃ ʰᵒᵗ

Sayge (the guy who runs the dye shop) is also a bit eccentric. I love how amped he is about dying clothes.

Let’s talk about how good Link looks in the royal guard armour. He really stays winning

Honestly, I thought it was both strange and creepy that link would keep the guts of his slain enemies and has no issue in eating them aswell. Kinda weird.

You forgot that Beedle also appeared in Minish Cap. It was only a very minor role, but he's in there.

Something I realized was that Loone and Magda's eyes when they are being strange/crazy are almost have the same style. They are also both obsessed with a certain thing. Magda with her flowers and Loone with the Ancient Sheikah Technology. Hmm..

I’m embarrassed I’ve played this game for 250 hours and have never been in that Voe class in Gerudo town

When I encountered bolson on my second playthrough I had way over 3000 rupees and tried to just buy the house without needing to find wood... but he called me poor and wanted wood

I have a headcanon that Vilia is genderfluid and that they wear the Gerudo outfit when they're feeling more feminine. When they're feeling more masculine, they simply walk around in Hylian clothes. They're close enough with the Gerudo living in Gerudo Town to be out to them, but they don't see the need to be out to every traveler in the nearby oasis. This would also explain why none of the Gerudo seem concerned about the rumors of a man sneaking into Gerudo Town; they already know the rumors aren't true.

Even if link did sign a contract with Bolson, who's going to enforce it? King Roam? Oh wait, he's dead. Princess Zelda? Oh right, she's been fighting Ganon for a hundred years. When you look at it that way, Bolson could be the biggest scammer in video game history.

That flower light Gannon joke has me on this process now, fuckin link walks up and the opening starts and all the sudden the shrine monk dialogue appears saying "link, don't mess around with her. I tried leaving this reached place, and I met my demise about 30 minutes ago. Please stay safe."

One could argue that Moza is, by definition, insane. She's been trying out recipes that don't work for so long that she's surrounded herself in trash and inedible material. She keeps using Actual rocks that aren't salt, machinery, and monster parts with nothing else expecting it to just one day work with no change.

Here’s something else about Risa. She talks about violence a lot, we know that. But look at her haircut, remind you of anyone? It’s the same haircut that Ganondorf had in the older games. Another thing is that it’s the same color as well

I tried SO HARD at the flower thing the first time I played, I was really careful and I felt so bad when she ran around like that I thought she was destroying her own beautiful flower beds. Someone needs to teach her how to make a stone garden path i stg 😭

man this game continues to amaze me. i knew all of these except for the dueling peaks stable blood moon guy, but the fact im learning anything new with almost 400 hours in this game is crazy to me

I like how the Guardian didn't even react to Link or Loone's presence. It seemed more as if it was trying to figure out how it got there in the first place.

Ah, Flowerblight Ganon, the most scariest boss of all time. I really had a hard time defeating her

Magda caught me off guard the first time around because I initially glided to the shrine from the nearby cliff and then stepped on the flowers on my way out.

I played Oft a long time ago and I had a memory of chasing Gucci’s in a village and when you said about the cados reference of oft it made me so happy :)

So when I first got this side quest I actually brought a guardian to Loone when she started running my first thought was *visible confusion* and then I pushed it away so I could reset the animation took a picture of her running away from the guardian then killed the guardian and showed her the photo

The "OMG is that a Zonai swirl" kills me every time.

Also about Beedle, even tho most of his dialogue is pretty normal like “oh didn’t expect to see you here” sometimes he’ll say other stuff like saying how perhaps him and Link are destined to meet and then joking about how they must’ve been married in a past life but stating that his heart belongs to the beetles, to him calling Link a stalker, he literally says something like “how are you always near where I am, you must be a stalker, please stop! Who am I kidding? I love the attention” then proceeds to smash his hand on the table and shouts “seriously tho, STOP FOLLOWING ME” I always saw beedle as a funny npc, botw is my first Zelda game so I have literally no context… so when I saw beedle for the first time with his huge beetle-shaped backpack, I thought he was endearing. But today while I was looking for a specific insect I needed for a quest, I literally jumped from stable to stable to try and find the right one that sold it, and among those tries Beedle said that and I was literally in shock like “omg beedle wth?” 🤣

17:23 Gerudos are significantly taller than Hylians, so I have to assume that the woman in the chalk sketch is lifting her voe. But, that is a very poor way to do so, as it is not very supportive, and the power needed to maintain elevation would likely harm him. I'm glad the teacher is against illegal activities, but I still find her disturbingly wanting, as far as education goes.
