Steve is no. 1 even without creative mode, cant change my mind, he walks with a max inventory of netherstars. Each with 64 per slot. Not only that but homie can respawn a few blocks away from his death point, he is a master tamer, he can create portals to dimensions beyond our reality, aswell as the end, wich in itself means that steve can survive in a dimension where the only other creatures are outer dimensional and could prob fucking solo most fictional characters, wich he also kills with ease. List goes on and on.

@@DR_L3G0 well, calculating the size of the giant compared to the earth, he could have punched a planet of 5 trillions of tons, yet Mario was going beyond the speed of light fighting against a Turtle that can easily take a supernova, a black hole created by that supernova and surviving the overwrite of his own universe. And Mario survived the chaos heart, which destroyed the whole multiverse of Mario. I have more proofs about Mario's power and cosmology.
Sonic should be the first. He defeated literal gods that would grand slam this whole list with negative difficulty. Also it is confirmed in the comics that some "force" or something literally doesnt let him lose no matter what. Not to mention his speed or chaos Emeralds that posess infinite power

In secret rings for example Sonic should have faced alf layla wa layla in his base form BUT for unknown reason 3 of 7 world rings just randomly flew out of him to power Sonic up into darkspine. In the case of Sonic fighting Mario it would probably end up the same or Sonic would strike Mario down another way. He is simply unbeatable even by literally omnipotent beings
