Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger are what got me started into the Sentai craze

Abaranger, Deka Ranger, and Gokaiger got peak suits man. It's no wonder Power Rangers were so popular. Goated seasons for real

I got into Super Sentai thru Zyuranger. I had bought a couple of Zyuranger VHS tapes from Japan on ebay years ago and was hooked immediately after watching both tapes.

I started a few years back with Carranger and Jetman. Then after a break, I went deeply a little over a year ago with Dekaranger. Tracking those characters through post-series sequels and guest appearances led me to the Metal Heroes Space Sheriff trilogy and to Gokaiger. Space Sheriff Gavan (and Gokaiger) led me to Denjiman. Gokaiger, in turn, led me to Dairanger, Ohranger, Megaranger and Go-Busters. Go-Busters and Dekaranger led me to Magiranger. I'm currently working my way through King-Ohger to check out a series made in the 2020's.

Now this is Power Rangering.

I think I officially got into Sentai cause I was recommended a video about all the Toq-ger zords and mega zords. And then I looked into Super Sentai and saw that Zenkaiger was the "40th anniversary" season and decided to make that my starter into the series. Good timing too since regular PR basically chose to stop adapting super Sentai and recently announced they stopped making PR in general not too long ago.

I think number 1 should be Akibaranger because they do a great job explaining a lot of the core tropes and motifs of the sentai genre.

Uchuu sentai Kyureger had a special place in my heart when I watched it at the pandemic period.❤😁🙏✨️💕❣️😇🥰😍🤩

Im trying to get into super sentai and kamen it great to see the white dino ranger clean no matter the format

My sweet spot for Sentai is Gaoranger-Gokaiger; my first Sentai is Dekaranger. It has been in my top 5 consistently. I thought that they would have the Zenkaiger idea for the 50th anniversary. Do you think you would, if you haven't already (I just got recommended for your channel), do a ranking of the openings?

I think Shinkenger and Gokaiger should’ve had a crossover because it makes more sense pirates versus samurais

Ive completed kyuranger and i can say that show is amazing you can rewatch the series doesn't matter how many times you have rewatched it will still be entertaining to watch every eps

I've often suggested to people that the best places to begin watching sentai are usually to find the season that corresponds to your favorite power rangers season, or failing that watch Gokaiger, or Zenkaiger as both are anniversary seasons showcasing many of the previous teams in them... Though I also often suggest that if none of the above options are for you check out the latest running season, or watch the various VS movies... find something in one of the above that speaks to you as a viewer and begin your journey there in full.. I also feel that asking a new viewer to go back to Gorenger or J.A.K.Q. could really be asking a lot out of a person as those series while still good have not aged as well as many of the later seasons.. Oh well thats just my thoughts on it...

i was aware of super sentai but i didnt start watching or got hooked until gokaiger which i still call it the best sentai ever

I started off with kyuranger back in october after hearing that power rangers adapted kyurenOh, I'm now on donbrothers and loving it😁also my fav sentai so far is luprinranger vs patranger

Gokaiger is legendary. Till now I am still so impressed with Gokaiger

In my opinion there is 3 ways to tackle this question either watch whatever intrests you the most Watch gokaiger Or for sadistic freaks ( such as myself) watch in chronological order and question your life choices around liveman (btw currently halfway through ohranger after a year and a half)

I think starting with king ohger is not a good idea tho because it will be so damn hard to find something at least similar to king ohger, well yeah it happen to me lol

I think the Power Rangers adaptation of Dekaranger did the Green Ranger justice with his own Quirks that are similar to the Sentai Green

My personal/favorite top 10 for new Sentai viewers to watch would be: # 10: Zyuranger # 09: Liveman # 08: Jetman # 07: Gaoranger # 06: Kakuranger # 05: Dairanger # 04: Gokaiger # 03: Go-Busters # 02: Goseiger # 01: Shinkenger

I started with Timeranger. Imo the best season I've seen.

It's such a dang shame that we didn't get Dairanger in its entirety. Those suits were the best hands down.

Great list, but I wouldn't include zenkaiger, I'd would have added timeranger, it's one of my favorites, it's a hard battle for top spot between this and gokaiger. But gokaiger wins due to Gai, Ikari Gai, because he is just a Sentai otaku who gets excited even with the new team, like when they meet the gobusters. Also Gogov should have an honorable mention. I started with hurricaneger, then I went with liveman. Now I've seen zyuranger up to ohranger, gaoranger, Gogov, gokaiger, timeranger, dekaranger, shinkenger, abaranger, goseiger, lupin vs pat, toqger, gobusters, megaranger I was watching sun vulcan, haven't finished it. And I think those are the ones I watched. What else should I watch?

After the rather disappointing Mess that was Megaforce/Super Megaforce, I stopped watching Power Rangers as a whole and watched more of the Kamen Rider Series. Started with Kuuga over 10 Years ago, and it was really good. However, now i'm thinking about watching Super Sentai to know how much different it is from the american Version. I could start the watching Order with Zyuranger, which was the Basis of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Plus, not all of the older Sentai Shows are on that Toku Website, and since Zyuranger is from the 90's it's surely still watchable and didn't aged like Milk like other Things from that time.

I grew up watching Dekaranger a lot to the point that I have the physical DVD copy of the show.

I like unpredictable hothead in my super sentai series, although Takaharu is a bit too far in that direction.

I started with Engine Sentai and the Shikenger is thos a good start?

me personally i disagree on anniversary seasons being a thing for new fans mostly cuz they’re filled with references and cameos therefore newer fans wont have as big of an appreciation to them me peronally i think zenkaiger and gokaiger by lupin vs patranger and king ohger lupin v patanger is just such an interesting premise and king ohger is such a great gateway (other than them teaming up with kyoryuger) newer fans dont need prior knowledge of any other shows

I feel like while Gokaiger is REALLY GOOD…it shouldn’t be on here as it’s even better to watch if you’ve seen a couple of seasons before hand. That being said, thank you for not putting Kyoryuger on this list as Daigo is such a mary sue

They should start by the first super sentai/power rangers and in that order they are himitsu sentai gorenger/ power rangers secret squad

My favorite top 10 Super Sentai for new fans is #2 Dinosaur Sentai Zyuranger. Because I’m always been born a fan of the Power Rangers and I was 30 last year. 🎌🇺🇸⚡️🦖❤️💙🖤💛💖🐉💚

I love toku ive watched all but 3 of these which goranger jaqk and zyuragner everything else besides zenkaiger i loved i just could not enjoy zenkaiger for some reason

My first sentai is kakuranger, and my first power rangers is in Space.

top 3 imo should be Gokaiger, Jetman and Shinkenger

Call me a noob but I didn't learn about super sentai u til I was in Mos school I. The military and it was until about 7 years ago when I first bought the shout factory release of zyuranger. No its a mission to was what we turn into power rangers. I'm on goseinger now but plan on watching the whole super sentai series

Kamen Rider came first. So fans should watch that series first.

I started with Megaranger, then GoGo V changed my life forever. I still think about that show at least once a week, it was that moving to me.
