Yes, Birthday song was a whole discovery for me in childhood) And I aslo was shocked when they added Sua Cara and Buttons, like these songs are literally, you know, 'for adults'. And also Jd 2022 has rating E (everyone) and children can simply see these lyrics.

They censored the word "sexy" in "We R Who We R" but doesn't censor it in "Buttons." It makes no sense.

And that is why they changed JD22 to 10+ instead of being for all publics. …I still question how they added God is a Woman and Buttons- JD isn’t really a “kids” game, so that’s why it has the kids menu. But still, they censor things and add these songs- It’s pretty polemic now. Yet, the songs are great and the choreos are cool!

I feel like a few of these aren’t censored by kids won’t get the meaning. I know I didn’t know Lollipop’s lyrics meant anything else until later in life!

Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish's cursing such as 'f*ck you' after the end of the last chorus is left uncensored, but 'influence' 'shitty', 'f*cking', and 'drunk' are censored. I think some of these aren't censored because the reason they censor certain phrases in the first place is so younger players aren't exposed to vulgar language, however this younger audience isn't going to understand the subtext. For example a 10-year-old isn't going to understand how phallic "sucking too hard on your lollipop" is, when the only association they have with the words "sucking" and "lollipop" is sucking a literal lollipop. Also, a child won't know that a birthday suit is someone naked, especially when the song is literally called "Birthday", so a child will just assume it has to do with a generic birthday party.
