I honestly think getting a teacher an absolute must. The first 2 lessons really helped me more than 30 days of banjo. It’s all about making sure you’re holding the banjo correctly and fretting the proper way. You won’t get that on RU-vid and you will pick up bad habits. That’s my opinion

Another tip, if you don’t have a mute just put a little bit of toilet paper under the strings

May I add tip number 11: at some point stop watching the hundreds of videos on how to play banjo and just get to playing. I say this from experience.LOL
