I even restore my licensees completely 2 or 3 times. Pleaaaase help me , what should i do?
The DLC literally nudges you in the right direction with landmarks and golden trails on the map. I swear this new generation of RU-vid gamers should not even be into this hobby. It’s not for you.
Dude. That black knight dude was tickled by every +10 I hit him with. And his white blasphemous sword and crossbow with the switch would 2 shot me to oblivion. Lvl150 my ass, lol. 185 here fully humbled
OMG...My whole first playthrough Doms Roundtable was my go to for any info. And today I started the DLC and Dom is back. Good days :D I love this channel
I died to that blade spinner in the grave plains within 30 seconds of finding the first sight of grace! NG+ and I’m level 470! 😵💫 SCADU-BELIEVE I need those blessings asap!!!
The only thing I wish I’d known before the dlc is how badly they were going to nerf some of my builds. Wish I could’ve prepped a different weapon on my mage for example
Incantations, w sorcery. And for my main weapon it's either the blasphemy or the cita pitA. Aka the holy claw with zero weight. Is great for the small areas I can't use a great sword.
If you need a good int weapon, Wing of Astel and Darkmoon still destroy pretty much everything even in the DLC. Wing for stance breaking and Darkmoon for damage, to be specific.
@@urtoryu_dy_althraidn yeah I feel that. I had to respec over to wing because I WAS using Dark Moon specifically as a stance break for enemies that would get up in my face and not let me cast from a distance. They nerfed the stance damage on dark moon though so I swapped to wing of Astel and it’s doing alright.
Furnace golem is super easy on foot. Just jump over his one-legged fire attacks into a jump attack on his other leg. When he jumps in the air just run away and get back between his legs! His grab is deadly but you can avoid it by staying below and slightly behind him.
3:47 my only complaint so far is it really feels like you need a topographic map to see what level your on. Something like being able to darken anything but a range of Y coordinates.
Dom your channel is one of the best and easiest guides for finding stuff. I’ve watched every single video and it’s made the game much more manageable. So happy to hear you’re getting so many views! You are my motivation to play the game tbh AND you have the nicest voice. You’re a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for all you do!! Happy DLC day from Chicago in the US.
Furnace golem is actually super easy on foot. The stomps are easy to jump over on foot. The only attack that's hard to get away from quickly enough is the high vertical explosion, but that's actually easily blockable with a shield. I'd honestly say it's easier on foot, and flame protect me makes his damage a joke. Probably more fun with Torrent, but not easier.
DO NOT KILL the kindred of rot you find randomly scattered across the world, they are NOT ennemies but friendly NPCs that give you stuff if you talk to them. I learned that the hard way.
100+ hours into my first playthrough, and while I can't access the DLC yet (still ain't beaten Mohg), I just gotta say thank you, Dom, for all you do for the ER community!! Your videos have truly helped me master the game and feel good about moving on from an area since I know I have fully completed it. Keep up the good work dude!!
On replenishing flasks: i find popping a warming stone and slapping on Blessed Dew talisman after a fight, and my health regens super quick. I went through nearly my whole base game playthrough without knowing that Warming Stones can heal me. Fun fact: if you have Warming Stones ready to use in your consumables tab, your mimic will use them as well, giving your mimic summon a light healing ability. Hope that helps!
Just wanted to say, I really appreciate your approach to this video. It’s helpful without revealing everything. I’ve always appreciated the way you communicate with folks watching. Helpful information and tips without judgement or gate keeping. Keep up the good work Dom!
I’m sure you noticed now but I did too but I went threw them so fast it was scary so make sure u picked up all the bell bearings in main game I’m really glad I did
For the new gold and silver ram horn consumables, they do not work in tandem with fowl feet, however they do stack with the scarab talismans. I found (at least for the gold) that the ram horns actually provide more % increase than the fowl feet.
I wouldn’t recommend using rune arcs just whenever since you will get murdered fairly easy going anywhere. Instead use the towards the end once you got some gear and upgraded the tree fragments
The easy way to take out the Furnace Golems (at least the six of them that forgot to wear shin pads) is our old friend Raptor of the Mists! Stick that on a weapon with good poise damage-I used the Star Fist-and go to town. Make sure to stand behind to avoid getting grabbed. Poise break three times to get the golem to fall over, then ride around to the face for a massive crit. Rinse, and repeat!
Another free tip/hack that goes for healing : leaving messages in early areas , right after fights etc - it is a LOT of ppl still starting and currently playing so the amount of times it’s saved me compared to base game over the last couple months is ridiculous. Literally was sitting and reading something the other day and had about 6-7 messages get praised to the point it made me just go back to playing just in case it would stop soon lol
Can you make a video that’s a checklist of what to ensure you do before starting a ng+? Finished everything I could find and wondering what I may have missed.
Dom, ive watched your "100% complete" videos in the past to help me explore areas. Hope you'll be doing those in this dlc as well. Cheers man well done!
Thank you for keeping it spoiler free! I'm always scared that I'm missing important stuff (like the moonlight thing) but I really don't want to search anything related to the DLC cause I'm so scared of spoilers 😂
I'm still prepping for the DLC so these can be helpful whenever I get started. I lasted played Elden Ring last summer. I had just beaten the Fire Giant but was clearing out some of the side things before I took a break. I restarted back into the game last week. Wanted to finish Ranni' s quest, do the Shunning Grounds, do the Snowfeilds, finish Volcano Manor, tackle the Haligtree, and go up til burning the Erd Tree. I've finished the Shunning Ground, Snowfields, and just started the Haligtree. I expect to get through the Tree today and possibly finish the Manor. This is honestly good for me because it gives time for people to make some guides, I'm not one to go through something blindly, made that mistake with several games. Not fun missing out on something important or hit a wall where you can't go back.
The only way i found to brute force furnace golems was ancient dragon lightning charge casts right underneath them. Even then, still helpful to cast from torent so you can jump his stomps easy.
Thank toy for everything Dom! The few days leading up to release was like WW3 trying to dodge the leaks. It doesn't help that all my FYP feeds os elden ring bloated. So just thumb nails were terrifying. I always knew your videos would be perfect. You know how to keep things informative and super spoiler light.
Hey man, just wanted to say, I love this video. Every thing was very good, I love you're methodical and calming voice, every thing was very spot on, good healthy advice (how many times have I/we seen a video with "one easy step that will kill all bosses" and then it's either with 100 caveats, like it only works if you're lucky/have millions of very specific stuff etc). You're video actually gives great advice that will make the game more enjoyable. And for someone that loves this game and doesn't want to rush it (and try out every cool thing)..this was perfect. Thanks alot!. I will definitely sub and watch more. Sorry for my bad English. /Johan from Sweden
Torrent for furnace golems? I was surprised at how small the hitbox for their flame stomps is. You can easily get the hang of jumping on foot for them, meanwhile each jump you do a jumping attack on a leg. It takes more times thab regular golems but eventually you break their stance fully and can get a critical for massive damage just like regular golems. The only thing to really watch out for is getting picked up... I imagine that's easier to dodge with torrent.
I didn't understand the scadutree fragments and thought they were like rune arcs. I played the entire DLC without using them until I got to the point where I couldn't beat two of the bosses (Bayle and Messmer). I looked online for tips and learned that you're supposed to spend your scadutree fragments as soon as you get them. I used all of my scadutree fragments and it ranked me up to scadutree tree blessing 14. I immediately went back and took down the two bosses with just my spirit summons and I.
I just spent 20 minutes going through my inventory looking for what I was sure was a talisman that i picked up at a gravesite after the ymir quest and it turned out to be some weird finger spell. Your first tip is my favorite thing because i was literally screaming why wouldn't they mark my new items!?!😅
Another brilliant video. Hoping to jump into the DLC tomorrow. I didn’t realise that none of my characters were quite there yet, not even my original over-levelled lady. Also, prior to watching this, today I focused on running around the base game to collect every possible crafting item until it said I couldn’t carry anymore 😂
Thanks, Dom. Only played 2 hours of DLC so far. But as a lvl 295, I was struggling a bit. I’ll actually USE those new power-ups and go adjust my stats (more arcane). Finding my giant crusher with 99 strength barely scratched early big bads, so I should probably redistribute some of those points, too.
Can wait for your stuff your missed series. Thats how I discovered your channnel. Those videos are really good and super funny and articulate. This DLC is amazing. I've been glued to the TV since midnight haha
That time of day mechanic is like demons souls tendancy system kind of. That's cool going to download the dlc after I get out the snowy area I just made it to. Dom you have great videos helped me get to the mountain top!
with regards to rune arcs the two areas to accumulate them are the rat room in Castle Morne near the site of grace. i have found the drop rate to be roughly 4 to 4 1/2 %. sometimes as high as 6% and sometimes 1% if i do 50 runs. I also found in the Deep Roots area the cave off of a tree branch is full of ants and these inflated bag things. Destroy them and i think you can get upwards of 6 or 8 rune arcs. However i have not gone back to check if the area respawns. i would think it would since you are killing ants and these inflated bags (?egg sacs).
when you use a silver fowl foot (or any other discovery boosting item), your item discovery increases in the stat screen. so if the new item stacks or is better, you can compare them in the stat screen. i’d bet the items probably override one another edit: and remember, if you want rune arcs, engage with multiplayer. co op, invade, help as a blue hunter…. ALL will give you an arc for completion of your goal. (kill the boss, kill the host, kill the invader, respectively.) the easiest way i found in the base game is to find an annoying dungeon boss that people don’t like (the double watchdogs were great for this in the base game) and just put your sign down by the boss room door. i usually put it just behind the big double doors. why not use the summoning pool? cuz then you gotta do the whole dungeon. a LOT faster to just help with the boss. and if your sign is outside the double doors, depending on where the boss room is, it might lead to you getting roped into doing the whole dungeon as well. there are a few side bosses in the first area that are tanky as balls that i’m sure people wouldn’t mind an extra helping hand with. eeeeeeeeeasy rune arcs.
I absolutely love this dlc. Watched a walkthrough from a different channel, saw a lot of hate comments but i stand firm on my stance. Main gripe i saw was in regards to the ending....but hey, i have the dlc and since I'm at lv40, I'll be hopping in roughly 6 months from now since im an abysmal player atm...(Started playing VERY recently)😅
I’m assuming the difficulty spike comes after the first area. I been so busy exploring I haven’t been made it to a boss yet. But the basic enemies haven’t been too tough. They definitely hit HARD but if you’re patient it pays off.
Thanks so much for this and your other videos Dom - you're always my go-to for ER tips and content! 🙌🏼 Going to get into the DLC tonight and tomorrow!!🥳🥳🥳
I took my journey 6 lvl 297 into the dlc made it to messemer brought in my lvl 140 base new game and wow the difference! Anyone struggling on your high end character try option 2
Great work Doms, I'm coasting with that SACRED RELIC SWORD my one SHOT special and level 600 .I put torrent ( He normally eats popcorn while I kick the enemies ASS ) in the garage and will bring him out on Miyazaki's next game.. Can't find spirit ash in DLC any clues my mimic tear is asking for a VACATION.
Good vid I got home from vacation last night and am trying to muster up the energy to get out of bed and start the dlc today so your vids are holding me over until I eventually do so. Hopefully I’ll get my lazy up and play today but probably won’t be until tomorrow. Anyway another great vid keep up the good work brother
6:57 daaamn me and friends are gonna 3 player the whole game so this might be a problem lol. I cant wait to play! and my dude great video I cant wait to see more
What’s up Dom I’ve never been happier when being lied to than when Miyazaki does it. Big Thank you to everyone at FROMSOFT , truly epic. I’ve Resub now that I have 6hrs and forgotten where I’ve picked things up. You better come ready bc this will “test your mettle.”
New feature; "Mark New Items " = Yes, "Show Recent Items Tab"= No. Panic Inventory check for a much needed item only to be momentarily confused by a new and strange screen rather than the standard Inventory Tab is unnecessary death. The mark is enough, don't need the tab.
Still haven't gotten to Blood and Wine, but I'm pretty sure I'm near the endgame so shouldn't be too far. Won't be playing The Witcher for a while now that Shadow of the Erdtree came out though.
Been here since “Domtastic Gaming” & im so proud of you for your growth, recognition & thankful for you dedication to us all Dom! You deserve every bit of success coming your way brother!🫶🏾🤘🏾🔥 Thank you for everything & thank you for a seat at The Round Table 🙏🏾
Dom: "I tried to make sure I had about 100 of everything before heading into the DLC." Me: Has massive collection of almost every type of bone arrow, and tries to keep his collection of Thin Beast bones above 600... "Lightweight,"
