I totally disagree that they are anti-traditional family. They are a tight knit family. Morticia and Gomez are relationship goals. The Addams family was probably the most traditional family of the TV shows. The Munsters had a terrible relationship. The Brady Bunch were divorced and remarried. I think The Addams Family was the most stable family on TV/in movies.

True but I think the point was to show that all these other families who consider themselves to be traditional, ',normal' and 'good' were actually unstable, while the one who does not label itself as being 'good' (the Addams family) is actually the best! I hope that made sense.

They were created in the 1930's, they weren't trying to rip families apart back then. I'm sure that's what the adults in the movie were thinking, but that was not what Charles Addams created them for. He was said to be like his characters. This is a quote about him: "They said that Charles Addams slept in a coffin and drank martinis with eyeballs in them."

The best part of the Addams Family Values was Joan Cusack and Christina Ricci. Wednesday was a feminist. She was throwing shade left to right. Love the Thanksgiving scene when she was stating facts about colonialism and privilege before causing chaos was spot on. When I first saw it as a kid, I missed it but now as an adult, I spotted it including how the camp directors casted the marginalized kids as Native Americans which speaks volumes.

Another moment is when the Trio of Addams in the Camp was tortured. (Yeah I'm counting Joel as an Addams because Wednesday basically proposed to him by the end of the film) Joel: He's just a child! Pugsley: absolutely terrified* Wednesday: Don't worry we're going to get out of here. Joel: But it's Disney. Then that led to Wednesday's iconic smile to the campers and counselors.

Tbh, that monologue from Wednesday during that Thanksgiving pageant couldn't have been more relevant until I look back and advent of colonialism. I was only seven when I watched the Addams Family sequel, sure. I enjoyed every second of that movie. Not only does the movie gives you laughs, but the commentary is pretty strong as well as, at some points, subtle.

To everyone who keeps saying that Christina Ricci is the OG Wednesday Adams, she's not! The insanely beautiful and incredibly talented Actress Lisa Loring (born Lisa Ann DeCinces; February 16, 1958) is! She is best known for having played Wednesday Addams at 6 years old on the 1964-1966 sitcom The Addams Family. Lisa is the OG Wednesday! There wouldn't be any Addams Family 90's Movies or brand new Netflix TV show if it wasn't for the OG TV show! Which is one of my top all time favorite TV Shows. Lisa should be in the spotlight to now not just Christina Ricci!

I noticed as an adult how boring and samey it is and how predictable it is as to who is the ultimate enemy in the show. I also noticed a few times where Wednesday's accent completely changed that should have been re-edited or redone. Not the best pick for Wednesday at all as she just wasn't all that consistent or even seemed to care about the role.
