@@MarlonR-mh6dv Beautiful Island, the people aren't the friendliest to tourist but they are to eachother. Felt pretty safe no matter where we went (traveled with 2 small children), so don't just stay at your resort.. CUZZ'S is definitely worth a visit for a fish cutter(sandwich). The Hilton was not all inclusive and price wise everything felt like we were back in NY.
just got back from Barbados, loved it, beautiful island, extremely friendly people, great food and rum, just be prepared for the high temps and humidity
Im from Barbados and im still living here at present , this video is actually quite sad considering that a lot the places you mentioned the footage was actually not some of those said places . Not one single shot of the crane beach as well mentioning the reserve and Farley hill as top places to go are a joke . Not one single restaurant here mentioned as well not one single actual proper beach that tourist actually go to and enjoy , what about pebbles beach and carlise bay ??? Quite frankly this video embarrassed me as a Barbadian sorry .....
You didn’t mention about the sea turtles in Carlisle Bay and how the locals look after them. There are catamaran tours to visit them during the day or the sunset and each time you can swim with them and watch them being fed. The capital city is pronounced ‘Bridge-Town’ and it’s called that because of the many bridges that are literally right there in the city. You also didn’t mention Sandy Lane or some of the lovely hotels on the island too.
Barbados has many visitors so we ignore the negativity that is put up by others.People who come here, others who watch you tube, will know that person is trying to make Barbados and your channel look bad Thanks for showing our beautiful country.
You got the pictures of the Crane Beach and Barhsheba mixed up. Also many other pictures are wrong. I have been living here for over 68 years so I should know.
No two Bajans--as the locals call themselves--will agree on the "Top 10 Things to Do in Barbados," and I doubt that any two visitors will either... but ALL of them will agree that this video is a disgraceful misrepresentation of the Gem of the Caribbean Sea. (I know whereof I speak, having visited Barbados more than 100 times over the last half-century.). Any local could have told the narrator that the capital is Bridge-town and the iconic beach on the east coast is Bath-SHE-ba, and anyone who has spent time on the island can tell you that the Animal Reserve is a sad, shabby tourist trap, and that the ruined shell of Farley Hill is not worth 5 minutes of your time. (If you want a fire-gutted ruin, tour the remains of Sam Lord's Castle on the east coast. It was once the most splendid residence on the island, and its namesake builder--rake, rascal, and land-based pirate--is a local legend.). More to the point, any Top 10 list that omits Hunte's Gardens, the one true Eden on Barbados, and Sandy Lane Hotel, the most spectacular resort in the Caribbean, is nothing more than a poorly researched put-up job by people who failed to do their homework.
Some observations: The Animal Reserve is NOT worth seeing. Actually, it's quite a dirty slum for turtles, some green monkeys (at feeding time) and a few caged birds. Quite a sad place. Don't waste your time and money. Speaking of dirty slums, downtown Bridgetown should also be avoided. The only reason for going to Bridgetown would be to take a catamaran trip from the docks. Oistins is open throughout the week for fish dinners, not just Friday night. In fact, you should avoid Friday night at Oistins unless you enjoy being elbow to elbow with packed crowds and no place to sit. The beaches are the BEST part of visiting Barbados. How can you have the top ten list for Barbados and not mention Huntes Gardens, Flower Forest, and the Andromeda Gardens? Yet, you recommend a burned down relic of a place where nobody goes. Overall, this video appears to be made people who have never visited Barbados. Mispronounced Bridgetown (Brig-i-town?) and Bathsheba (Bathshayba?) which is pronounced properly as Bath-shee-ba.
Hi, we know we haven't started working the best way, we have improved since and still improving. Yes the voiceover was terrible then it has changed to. About the places in Barbados agree that we may haven't included the best places and will remake the better version in this year. Thank you for taking so time and writing in such a detail. Really appreciated 🙌😊
as a bajan, what a poor sport you are! animal reserve is beautiful in my opinion, town is great once you aren’t judge mental , as you seem to be. and postings is fun as long as you’re ok with crowds. you are leading visitors a stray.
Barbados is beautiful and have been going yearly for the last 14 years. The content in this video is wrong as the photos are not corresponding with the areas listed.
Be careful of the Sargassum on the west coast, ie Crane Beach. Makes the beach and water uninhabitable. The video shown of Crane Beach wasn’t Crane Beach.
Thanks! Barbados looks lovely. Video suggestion - please show us where people can enjoy gluten free food, and or have various disability needs catered for - such as 1) wheelchair access, 2) quiet places for people who have autism, 3) tactile sensory places. Also, where's the best place to do Astrophotography in Barbados? Are there other nature parks or only one? What genealogy & history repositories do you have? Are there sharks in the ocean around Barbados? What do retired people do in Barbados? Is there an art gallery? Thanks in advance. :D
This is not a Barbadian giving the the tour. Whoever tried. The pronunciation of places and the photography tells you, but they tried. A local can inform you better. Try other travel blogs.
The narration in this video is poor. No mention is made of the parishes and how it relates to sites location in video. Why the waters on the eastern end of island are more turbulent than the west. And the pronunciations are off.
Hi thanks for the feedback. It's an old video, and we are consistently improving, thanks for people like you giving feedback. Out team is better now and will keep on delivering better content 😊 Thank you
Hi, TLG. Yes you point out right point ☝️. As we still youn channel. We are countinously making few mistakes, however improving on them to. We have changed our voice artist for that🌴😊
@@gymbuddy32 lol. You are soooo shady about the learning English. That person sound like someone who has never visited Barbados but did a video on the island
@UCFq6wIgLlwddUA26SE8wtlw get a sense of humor and stop being nasty. You wrote "I'll make an allowance. seeing that you are still learning english." Your words. I was making a joke. Have a nice day.
You this video sporty den. Iza "Bajan" (wonder how she would pronounce day) 😆 It's not entirely inaccurate but best wunna delete it, go to Bimshire, do proppa recon and repost
No mention of the Jolly Rogers Pirate ship lunch or dinner cruise. Also, please get a narrator that can actually pronounce the names properly. it's Bridgetown not Brigget town. SMH
First of all thank you for travelling to my island. I would like to just say it was a bit offensive. If you are going to produce a video to promote a country at least get the right places to the right footage. I am sure that those monkeys and crocodiles were from Borneo and not actually the island. The Crane was mixed up with Pebbles beach and a number of other places were very confused and therefore not an authentic video of Barbados. And its Bridgetown as in Bridge and town and put it together.
U said indigenous wrong. I swear ppl are getting dumber as time goes on. In dig e nous. Not in de genius. Omg didnt know what u were trying to say at first had to turn on the captions to figure it out
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 1 Corinthians 15:3 that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
That is the first time I have ever heard someone pronounce Bridgetown in such a ridiculous manner using three syllables like Brid..geh..town! You pronounce Bridge as in Bridge, and then town as in town, and then join the two words together to get a two syllable word. Is it that complicated?
