I visited Fort Lauderdale October 2018, and I was amazed how beautiful South Florida is. I will definitely be coming back to this state in the future. I do love strolling the beach in Boca Raton. 😅😁❤
Just visited Jungle Island this weekend. Can be pricey but fed awesome one time experience! Mangos restaurant on South Beach highly recommend food was beyond! Try the mango mojito delicious
Laugh if you will but there is a legitimate reason behind placing the Bahamas side trip first. As travel advisors, it has come to our attention that most first-timers to Fort Lauderdale and Miami are unaware that such a side-trip exists, and they are super-excited to find out -- whereas, in general, they have heard of various boat and bus tours, animal and marine life attractions, etc. Since research indicates that most people do not watch online videos in their entirety, we purposely placed the side trip first rather than risking that first-time travellers would miss it. After all, if someone is watching for ideas for their vacation itinerary, it is likely because they've never been before.
The happiest time l had was 26years l lived in beautiful fort lauderdale l even wrote a poem, Florida and the last verse was to fort lauderdale Fla. Ciudad que no olvido published in todos, mini mundo and other magazine or revistas. M
Visiting fort Lauderdale thisApril I was wondering do I need a passport to do the day cruise to Bahamas and which boat or ship would be good for the day cruise to the Bahamas
Yes, you will need your passport for the day cruise since you are entering a different country. A quick Google search will yield many tour operators and reviews
Are there any walkable parks, beaches, restaurants, public transportation, free activities for kids and teens particularly in Fort. Lauderdale since i don't plan on renting a car
'Most' activities on this list are still operational (with COVID modifications), but we have no way of knowing what will happen in May. It would be best to reach out and contact the attractions you are interested in closer to your trip.
@@dawnrunyan1819 Keep in mind that we are not 'post covid'. Unfortunately, the pandemic is still raging so modifications and restrictions are being made to most attractions.
My husband and i will be in ft L next week for my bday..all is available except for Jungle island which i closed and Mai kai restaurant which has permanently closed ,not sure why but all else is up and poppin. Note you need a passport for the Bahama cruise..im so upset because i didnt have enough time to get on b4 our trip
@@kamyanorville645 Mai Kai did not permanently close. When the "temporary" closure took place, the Mai Kai announced on their website and Instagram feed that it was due to severe water damage and the need to secure a new investor. While they waited for those issues to be addressed, they continued selling memorabilia online, such as specialty glasses, postcards, etc. The Mai Kai announced on September 29th of this year (2021) that they are reopening in 2022 with a date to be announced soon.
Currently, it's unknown when day trips to the Bahamas will resume given the devastation of many areas due to Hurricane Dorian this past weekend. Luckily, some areas in the Southeast and Central Bahamas remain unaffected and might be ready to resume normal tourism activities soon. However, other areas are closed, such as the port in Freeport which is where some of the day-trip ferries tend to dock. It's probably going to take a while, but when everything starts to get back to normal, probably your best bet for finding a good Bahamas day trip is to visit Viator. If you go directly to this link: www.viator.com/Miami-tours/Day-Cruises/d662-g3-c7 It will round up all existing day trips for you that leave from Miami, along with descriptions and prices that will help you to make your decision. We hope this helps. Enjoy your trip when you're finally able to go. :)
With all Bahamas ports now reopened, we thought we would revisit your question. Our recommendation for day trips to Bahamas is Balearia Caribbean Fast Ferry. You can visit their website here www.baleariacaribbean.com or check for deals on Viator.
I'll be in Fort Lauderdale/miami with my bf for his 30th birthday. We're going to be there for a cruise but I'd really like to take him to a strip club/club. Any recommendations??? Would be appreciated
Teens should enjoy many of the things listed in this video (e.g. Everglade airboat rides, jet boats, interactive experiences at Jungle Island, exploring South Beach, and more). Plus, there are escape rooms, waterparks, adventure sports, acades and gaming facilities, lots of shopping opportunities, and 14-years-and-up might enjoy the Rusty Wallace Experience at Homested-Miami Speedway. It depends on the teen as to what they enjoy, but there is no lack of things to do for teens.
Yes, the Mai Kai Restaurant is "temporarily" closed due to a flood. However, their plan is to reopen and are currently seeking partners or investors to ensure the Mai Kai's legacy.
