It was cool to see Ice on his back though he must be huge for it to not be hitting his knees. It actually bothered me Ice was destroyed, I thought Jon would reforge it at the end of GOT. A symbolic rejoining of Stark and Targaryen.by the literal Fire and Ice.

So for 8 I don't think Helaena's doing needlepoint is an allusion to Arya. Helaena has been seen doing needlepoint before and she's good at it. I'm wondering if she's saying that Jaehaerys doesn't want to be king is her alluding to the fact she doesn't want him to be heir because she saw Blood and Cheese in her vision. And Number 5 might not be referring to the fighting pits of Meereen but the child-fighting pits we see last season (of which Aegon is a patron of, and a contributor to), which given Daemon was Captain of the City Watch, he is well aware of them. I doubt a ratcatcher can go to Meereen. Unless Daemon is tempting him by hinting he'll give him enough money to go there.

#5 exactly! Highly doubt that a rat catcher has been to Essos. They showed in season 1 that there are fighting pits with the kids right in Kings Landing.

Alicent is Such a Snob!! Early on in the season she was Rambling On about Rheanrya’s affair with Sir Harwin (all the rumors was because of Alicent’s doing/influence while look at her now she is no better than Rheanrya. And Viserys was quite clear on who should succeed him)

Your right! Scarface is another great example the chainsaw scene actually only shows the saw cutting the guys head for a split second….it’s the sounds that make it so brutal! The scene from the first episode is fine by me and many stated Helena seems to be acting to calm to see her son butchered but she was clearly in shock!

One thing that i noticed was that when the high towers were discussing what to do about the blockade that Rhanera's allies had subjected kings landing to. They talked about making the current ruler of House Greyjoy their new master of ships. We may see the Greyjoy's this season support the high towers.

Lord Lary’s is just as guilty as Cole. Cole should have been guarding the Queen and Lord Lary’s replaced all the staff so they were unaware of who was suppose to be on the second floor. The old staff would have alerted someone.

@Jon155mt I think book readers were disappointed by how it played out. Not the fact that you didn't see it. Haleana chose the younger son, but knowing that she was lying, they killed Jaeherys. That would have been much better

@@AndreaHenderson-pn6pp Sure but the show still put her in an extremely messed up situation and forced her to choose anyway. Plus if you rewatch the episode, she mumbles “they only want the boy” before Aegon walks into the room looking for their son. Meaning she already had a dragon dream about that night. So if you then rewatch the B&C scene at the end of the episode and look at her facial expressions before she points out the son, that’s when she realizes what her dream meant and also realizes what’s about to happen. So yeah it’s different from the book, but it’s still well done. The show decided to focus more on Helaena’s prophecies, which makes her character FAR MORE interesting than she was in the book. Plus GRRM has said multiple times that the book is literally written from unreliable POV sources. People are fine to like the book version better, but that doesn’t make the tv version bad either. There’s no point in people getting so outraged over the differences when the details in the book version were already unreliable to begin with.

@Jon155mt I was replying to your comment about fans being disappointed about not seeing more gore. I don't think that's where book readers' disappointments came from. When you read a book and create that visual in your head, it's disappointing to see it portrayed differently than you imagined. Since the book is an inaccurate accounting, even book readers don't know what direction the showrunners will take. I personally feel like choosing between the 2 boys would have been better because B & C could easily identify which one was male or female for themselves if they thought that Heleana was lying

#6 Aegon's nicknames : in Got season 4 episode 2 (the lion and the rose) Tyrion offers Joffrey a book at the party before his wedding. "The lives of 4 kings" where Aegon the unworthy is mentioned. No doubt it's Viserys and Alicent's son and userper to Rhaenyra's throne.

maybe its just me but knowing this is a prequel and knowing all the lore etc / knowing how it ends with Danny and jon all that this all kind of doesnt make sense to me because we all seen the long night lol was like a 30 min fight it was dark Danny was a probs the lamest dragon rider known to man besides the strong boys and Jon just got fluffed to end up other side of the wall all the profecies mean nothing it ends with Danny

Doesn't have to be like this though. Personally I'm not a fan of prequels because of all the machinations they have to do in order to make plot "fit". I do enjoy the show thus far.

The opening is the Targaryan history up to this point. You see the vision, the doom of Valeria, the Targaryans going to Dragonstone. You see Agon conquest with his sister wives, you see his victory. So on up to this point in the story. It looks like it ends with the 2 sides sending off for allies.

Cregan Stark was born in 108, making him 21 in the current year of 129. You might be thinking of his father Rickon who was the one who swore fealty to Rhaenyra in 105.

@@DamericRes He was old during the time of Aegon IV, not Aegon II. The books describe him being young during the Dance of the Dragons.
