beginner tip: all players start with the .270 Stradivarius in their weapons locker right of the bat (if you look at it in the store the green tick by the weapon shows you already own it), so its actually free. you will need to earn some rifle score to unlock to polymer tip rounds though.
@@Nickolias It was a community event reward, I don't remember ever participating in the event though so I don't think thats a requirement for owning it.
As an old timer in the game, (years of level 60) I come back to basic info like this. Always pick up some useful stuff. Thanks for ALL that you put on RU-vid and other places.
A friend made a suggestion that has been game-changing for me. Instead of opening the lookout towers at the beginning, he avoids all outlooks until he has searched the entire reserve for need zones. It's much more difficult to find all the need zones after the map has been opened up (meaning, the shading has disappeared). However, by waiting to open the lookout towers you can easily see where you have been and avoid missing some important need zones. By the time you are ready to open the lookout towers your map will be completely full of need zones. We have found it is best to avoid tracking animals or walking in weird patterns until the reserve is open. We divide the reserve into squares and travel outside of the square due north-south vertically and east-west horizontally. Additionally, you are more likely to find some great spots from which to hunt that you might otherwise have not discovered. We've identified best spots for high ground, best spots for tree stands, best spots for night feeding, etc. Neither my friend nor I are what you would call "grinders," but we've learned that the secret is NEED ZONES. Thanks, Lady, for all your great vids. I've learned a great deal from you.
Sounds a bit fishy. Somewhat. :D What i've heard is, that it couses trouble, when you drive around to unlock your outlooks and outposts first. It spooks the animals before they can settle down/get active need zones. If you really want to do that, do it on someone elses map in multiplayer.
Started playing about two weeks ago again after about 3 years and your guides have been helping alot, managed to get 4 Diamonds thanks to your guides as well !
Even when the maps are dark/grayed out you can still often tell where the outposts are if you just look for the offshoots/dead end paths of the main trails. If you see one, more often than not that is going to either be an info point OR an outpost so you don't necessarily have to always go to the outlooks first!
Just picked this game up a week ago, already got 30+ hours in it and got a few friends into it and have been having a blast. First friend I played with we both started on Medved after going through the reserve list, because that's what sounded interesting to him, next couple buddies wanted to do Mississippi because we're all southern boys and gators are common around here, and I've been doing Hirschfelden solo since it was the first map. To put it bluntly, LOTS of slow gameplay, stalking, messing up approaches due to obstructed views, having to try a quick shot on a spooked animal, overall a great simulation to real life idiots learning how to hunt :P (Fun though) Holy cow silver ridge peaks blew me away when we loaded into it the first time yesterday. I had heard it was easier but WOW. We loaded into the middle of the road and were SURROUNDED by animals, everytime I was tracking down or getting to a kill I'd look around and see another hunting opportunity. If I could recommend any one thing to new players or people who've tried the game and found it too difficult to get into/find animals, learn on silver ridge peaks. It's a completely different game, the learning curve isn't NEARLY as harsh.
Great tips Lady, wish I knew these things when I started. Luckily your other guides have been very helpful to say the least. I'm level 60 now and have 13 diamonds in the bag,. I actually started with the 270, it came free when I purchased COTW in the Playstation store January sale around 3 weeks ago. Thanks again.
I just reached level 23. I'm loving the game beautifully made. Your videos have been extremely helpful. Thank you very much . Also been enjoying your stream 🤠👍🏼
Thank you so much! This helps me so much! I’ve been looking for the 300 win mag but couldn’t find it and you got it for me! I love your content! Stay strong Lady!
I have just gotten back into call of the wild. I bought it when it first dropped. I've been looking at videos for the past few days since I'm fairly new still, and you have by far the most informative video EVER!!! Thank you!
A big one here is shot placement taking your time when aiming especially closing distance and understanding vital locations on the animals will help a ton when you first start
Just picked up the game and hunted 5 or 6 deer and 1 hog before i realized i had a quest. Great game and thanks for the tips! Just went and purchased all dlc hope to see you out there!
@@Sub-Zero69 the certain species of animals go the a zone at a specific time for a daily necessity, such as eating, drinking, and sleeping. The animal species the zone is for only arrives at certain times. Different species and also use the same zone.
I just got the hunter call of the wild and it is my new favorite game I believe. I've already spent probably 4 hours playing and it is very entertaining. I'm limited in money for dlc though. Hard to choose
i'm completely new at this and played it for about 4 days only. i'm not a fan of shooters, i usually play turn based strategy games. imagine that i did not know that you can zoom in your rifle and binoculars! i found it by mistake. and still without that knowledge i managed to shoot 2 deer and 1 elk. dont ask how....
There are two ways of playing this game, the fast way where you want to be able to fast travel between locations and then there is the slower way. I personally love exploring new maps with friends and getting to see things that might be missed if i joined other peoples maps where tents had been placed. If your a player who likes to try and grind for the great one or get diamonds then that style of play is certainly the way to go, if your a player who just likes to hunt then don't rush get to know your surroundings that way you might find potential hotspots of your own or maybe places you can use as prime hunting locations if or when you decide to grind for the great one's.
Absolutely! I used to rush unlocking the maps with the ATV, but now I just walk it, taking my time and having a great time exploring. The maps “last” a lot longer too, rather than getting bored so fast.
Favorite youtuber you show us how to taxied animal if forgot to taxied your tips and tricks help all the people. In hunters call of the wild I have misted 1 of your streams im an og 😎 thank you lady for the tips tricks and enjoying content you make people happy 😊 you are the best lady from Bentley callahan
Just started playing with my friend about 3 days ago. We've been hunting in the savanna and I just got my first diamond yesterday. Gold wildebeest. Also love the vids been a huge help.
Trying out maps online really is a blessing (and hosting the games is fun as well, your tents and items on your map will stay and be usable by the mp, making it rewarding to leave the tents, tripod etc there when you leave.
I started this game a year ago and just came back to it, I'm level 17 currently and after watching some of these i found that how i was playing wasn't very good😅 i was juat roaming the areas and waiting for warning calls to try and find a target. I barely have any kills under my belt, well aside form geese, I learned to do a fair bit of goose hunting. But I've started to set up blinds and tents, and learnes about the range when to walk then crouch and that has helped a ton. I've gotten aome good golds so far, no diamonds yet but eventually. I come back to this beginner playlist to freshen up on tips.
Great video. Just got back into this game after a few years away and forgot how hard it was for beginners. This should make it a lot easier and enjoyable. Thanks
I restarted my game and played to level 60, three times, but haven’t played since 2020. The hubby started playing last, looked to me for help and omgosh, I was darn near useless! 🤦🏻♀️ There have been so many changes! None of my usual routes are the same, some of the mechanics I swore by were different… 🤦🏻♀️ I’m going back and watching all the best tips for beginners because I totally feel like one! 😆 I kept saying, “Huh. I never had a Buffalo herd move through here…” “You need 3 boar. Here’s where you need to go because they’ll be eating or drinking in this area… or not?” Lol Thanks so much for your help! He wants to get the PS5 version so we can play together. I’ve gotta get good real fast cuz right now?, I’m a scrub!!
I just started over, I am now level 3. I have been at level 30 at some point though, but still I found usefull information in this video..for example the perks, I have never clicked trough them like you did, I always thought all perks and skills obtainable were the ones you saw on the first page when clicking on skills or perks..I wasn't aware there was several pages xD Thank you for teaching me something new today !
I'm having so much fun with this game. Like... I really sucked at first.. I still do, but I'm getting better at it. Before I literally spent a few hrs and only had a couple kills lol. I'm at work listening to this and can't wait to get off work and try out some of these tips.
So exciting! Here is my beginner playlist! Lots of videos that will help you get off to a great start: ru-vid.com/group/PL401QBfQ9TcZJ0l5HqBPAYSuVlVbZ5Cb0&si=iQtAOjoSZDO7sjsb
@@LadyLegendXO thx a lot this will help. So we have to start in Layton lake before I can hunt in silver ridge? Will watch the videos because first attempt in Silver ridge O was walking without ammo …
Hi miss. Thank you very much for the tips. A very professional and objective video from someone who really knows what he is talking about. Congratulations on the work. I became interested in this game after playing the game: The Long Dark. It whetted my appetite and I'm really impressed with the quality of the gameplay and graphics because I'm on an old generation PS4 FAT and the game is well optimized taking into account the size of the map. I believe that I will grow by actually playing this game, my mind needs to deal with anxiety, frustrations and learn to be calm and patient. I think this is a very dangerous and current problem in the "Smart and virtual" society anyway... I think I've finished my text. Have a great day. Hugs from Brazil. 👍🏻😎
I love this game. It lowers my stress level. Even if I felt so frustrated with my hunt result, I could just shoot other animals in vicinity... What a magical game.
@@LadyLegendXO Also, thanks for the Hunting Pressure trick. That's super helpful. I am a forgetful person. Chances are, I could lose my target if I blink. lol
Lady legend you were right about the .308 the gun is amazing and unbelievable I can one shot so many animals now in one sitting I was hunting in the savanna and killed like 3 wildebeest I appreciate it
Thank you for the video. Just started playing the game first time today, and it was pretty overwhelming. I kept running around for an hour and couldn't get a single kill.
I was bored af , so I just CASUALLY walked across the kraken mountain which took me 1 hour it extremely bad but I loved my progress also I did it in night time so you imagine how difficult that was I found snow on top of it
Just started playing 2 weeks ago and already put in almost 100 hours lol. These videos are always helpful :) Harvested my first Diamond trophy today which was a Merriam Turkey and reached level 32 :)
new to this kind of sims but i have the urge to play ths game. been looking lots of your videos and seems a lot in this game. gonna give it a try, looking for weeks now for a sit back and relax game.
1, I'm level 1 😂. No seriously started playing today after my 8 year old recommended it on gamepass. Man, he's got some patience. Not like his Dad (whoever he is). Thanks for the upload, very helpful. Seriously though, he's 8 and like really good at it.
Thank you LadyLegendXO for this amazing Beginner tutorial. I will definitely apply those great tips to my starting game (new to The Hunter call of wild)..
On my Xbox one x I have hunter call of the wild. But recently I got a new Xbox series x and I am buying The hunter call of the wild and I want to start my map the best way possible 😊 Thank you for making this video it helps my a lot ❤
screw the 243 and screw polymer... get the lever action .44 gun that shoots handgun 44 soft tip ammunition.. the penetration and expansion is huge.. also aim for the heart..
Hey Lady, another fantastic upload for us Noobs. Very slowly grinding for cash, experience and gear. 2 Questions for you or the community 1. Since getting the Bloodhound I find that I cannot mark the map with a waypoint through the binoculars - hitting "X" on the keyboard calls the dog to heel even if I don't have her equiped. 2. When I hit multiple animals (eg Med Ved I shot 3 Reindeer then some pigs and a bear broke cover and I shot them as well) I was really difficult to track and find all the animals. Shot 7 and found 5. Any suggestions Thank you all.. Happy Hunting
I use my bloodhound to track everything. As long as he's within 50 meters of blood, he'll track. Just keep working him! The bino thing must be a glitch
Thanks, my 11 yr old son has been playing this and begging me to play with him. I play too many games to slog thru the beginning of this which seemed a little light on info and explanation. I'm sure it's probably in the codex but I don't have the patience to read thru it all. BTW, I didn't realize I was using a .243 and shot a moose. I tracked and shot it 5 times up close and personal. You can guess how that went 😂😂😂
I hope you play with him!!! I wish my kids would play with me ❤️😍. I have a 2 part beginner guide that will explain everything! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RZ7sljr_Rws.html. Part 2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ksi-CHIWvVQ.html
This is one of the most infuriating games as a new player. Not only are there so few animals, but even when shooting 'perfectly' behind the shoulder blade it almost always only inflicts a flesh wound. Then when I try tracking them they either A) go a very difficult route to follow. or B) manage to hear me coming from extremely long ranges even when walking/crouching, running away before I can even see them. Doesn't help that you move very slowly and of course the only way to move faster is through a DLC.
I started following you when you had about 500 followers on youtube, but still you remain the same person, at 90+K, only a few stay who the are, Top content as always
I started the game yesterday and i can't seem to kill a single animal in 4 hours. Also i have purchased all the dlc but i cant find the weapons anywhere. Any tips? 😅
Thank you for this video! I have a question though, as I own the dlc with the .308. You said that once you unlock this, you never need the 243 again. However, the .243 is for class 2-6, not 4-8. Did you perhaps mean the .270 instead?
Whaaaaaat? I been grinding for 2 days for like 4 hours. Im level 9. Layton Lake is literally my favorite map. Change the time to 8. Run from the top left down the river. Seen 2 diamond bears already.
Hey im a relatively new player but I already love it. Started playing 3 or 4 months ago and I'm lvl 28 or 29. I've been able to find some cool trophies but not a single diamond or great one yet.
@LadyLegendXO the only super rare one I have is a piebald female moose, not a male but still gorgeous. Also, I'm a new fan of yours as well. I love your call of the wild content so far and look forward to seeing your other content. You're inspiringly kind and just an awesome human being. Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌
The important thing for beginner after patience is specs. Don't care about your weapons, scope, ammos. But specs is cause your game is better than Low specs. I have experience on that, Im use laptop with spec is celeron n4035u and uhd 610 4gb ram so, that's distraction the game cause too hard to shot an animal. So i changed and Im using computer and boom!, the game looks pretty well and i got 11 shots in 1 hour.
