@@Jeremiah_Rivers76 fk that pegleg sites to watch anything is the only right way to enjoy any show or movie have been doing it for over 20yrs so much money saved and so much more enjoyable when not paying for crap which so much ends up being
Almost everything used to get a physical DVD release, now streaming services are preventing that from happening yet are getting rid of content for good. The streaming age of not owning anything sucks.
Yeah. Buying Doug, making it terrible, then letting it languish in copyright prison obscurity during the Nicktoons nostalgia merch boom was, uh, A Choice they made
"Ferris Bueller" was running alongside a similar show about a high school hustler, "Parker Lewis can't Lose", and was arguably funnier, lasting for three seasons. They even pokes fun at Ferris' cancellation in one episode.
I hated they got rid of Prop Culture. It had so much potential. Other movie props they could find and discuss, and other people to see. They had three of the original kids from Honey I shrunk the Kids speak to him, Gonzo got to speak with him, and even the actress who played Jane on Mary Poppins got to see the old jacket she used to wear when she was a kid calling it 'Old Friend'.
I didn't even know about that show until watching this video. And I'm sad they got rid of Jeff Goldblum. That show was quirky, yet entertaining. Luckily I finished watching both seasons of it.
Met Warwick last month and he wasn't happy about his show being deleted. I uploaded his panel from the convention where he does talk about it and other topics dealing with the strike and stuff. He was extremely funny and very open about topics
It's a shame that Mighty Ducks Game Changers didn't get a third season. Still, it was great to see Emilio Estevez in the first season and some of the original Mighty Ducks actors. But the second season was...blah. without Bombay it wasn't the same
At least Disney did the right thing though and erased one of their movies. But unfortunately, if they go into a deeper downward spiral, they will result into tax writing off shows and movie, especially the popular ones.
Besides local syndication and sub channels, they're other shows that can still be watched on physical and digital releases, such as Seinfeld, Friends, The King of Queens, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Young Sheldon, Chicago Fire, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Chicago P.D, The Goldbergs, etc.
I read about American Dreams (2002-2005), a show which aired in NBC and was somewhat huge in its day, only the first season got a DVD release. The show got canceled after the third season, but a proper ending was also shot just in case, it has only been shown in 2013's ATX Television Festival so far, but an attendee managed to record it and uploaded the footage to the internet.
@@mlmn3080 Yes, that one. Season 1 got a DVD release after they cleared the issues with the music rights (they still had to replace some songs), it's unknown what prevented the other seasons from following suit, considering the show's creator said that the songs used on them would've been much easier to clear for a DVD release.
@@MrRonald2796 that was coming out when I was in middle school. I don't remember what a lot of the show was actually about. But I remember it was awesome seeing artists I knew playing artists/songs my mom knew. It was a nice bonding experience.
@@jimbo9208 Not necessarily. Back in the day most shows would at least get a VHS/DVD release but nowadays once they're taken down they're gone forever.
I didn't watch Ed when it initially aired, but years later caught it when TBS would air it in the mornings. The fact that there isn't a release of any form anywhere is a crime.
I can explain ED. Music rights. They used a lot music in the show on short term contracts and now those contracts are expired? People are wanting tog to get paid. It took 30 years for WKRP to sort out their problem with the music rights
"Queens Supreme", there was a one season Oliver Platte starring show that really wasn't that bad but definitely got overshadowed by all the other crime shows at the time, a friend of mine actually was in the very first episode playing the man on trial but unfortunately had no lines whatsoever
The reason Chicago Hope is hard to find is because of the music rights. Various songs were done during the operation scenes. One you didn't mention: The New Adventures of Bean Baxter. This was one of FOX networks first shows.
Game changers was a great show, really wish it wasn’t cancelled because of the writers. It deserves a second chance. It was just as good and sometimes better than the sequels to the film
I really liked Mighty Ducks: Game Changers....and one of the most aggravating casualties of Disney's purging of content into the ether for me is Marvel's Runaways ( easily one of the best MCU connected shows ) since it was yeeted off both Disney Plus AND Hulu and none of it's 3 seasons ever got a physical DVD/Bluray release
It also feels like they're pretending Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion don't exist. Not just cancelling it on a cliffhanger, but was also one of the shows they took off Disney Plus.
Looper put out a video today that also mentioned "ED" as hard to find. I hope the studios that own the show are watching. I loved that show SO much and yet it has never had a proper DVD release and is not streaming anywhere. This needs to be remedied.
man, so that Chicago Hope show had Joe from "The Princess Diaries", 2 people from Criminal Minds, and 1 person from NCIS. also, some other shows that I find hard to find anywhere: both versions of the Hardy Boys (70s and 90s, especially the 90s) and the Canadian cop show Flashpoint. Luckily though I have all 5 seasons of that show on DVD!
I watched Boston Public for ten minutes. I was a school teacher at the time. A character/teacher fired off a hand gun in class, and the plot moved forward from there. I think. He fired the gun, and I said nonsense and turned it off.
There were a few shows I thought of when I saw this video's title. The first one is Cold Case. I can kind of see why though. The music is really part of the show. I can see that being a legal nightmare to get on dvd or streaming. Another one is Third Watch. I have the first couple of seasons on dvd, but can't find the rest anywhere. The third I was thinking about is Extreme Ghostbusters. It's a continuation of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon show from the 80's. I bought a copy of the show on dvd. But it turned out to be a bootleg version that someone recorded when it was on tv and made it into dvds.
I loved Cold Case. Every time I hear Keep on Loving You or More than A Feeling (when it pops up on Spotify) I think of this show. It had so much great music at the end of each episode :(
I had no idea that show was lost media. I remember watching it when I was a kid and I still have a toy from the show with the characters on it. Hopefully it gets found!
Im glad I got my Millennium DVD set when it first got released... way too expensive now if I didn't have it. SciFi (ie SiFi Channel)'s The Invisible Man season 2, not streaming and never released on US DVD, only a handful of European runs. Sucks because I really liked that show and there is no way of seeing season 2. Back in the day I recorded all the eps on VHS but once season one was released on DVD I had expected the second season so I starred reusing the tapes... big mistake. Third Watch also only saw the first few seasons released on DVD but not all of them, and those are extremely expensive to find. Same with Psi Factor.
I am a HUGE “Cheers” fan. As such, I’d like to own the spin-off “The Tortellis” on DVD. Unfortunately, that can’t be done. Plus, the sitcom is unavailable for streaming, as well. Yes, it’s on RU-vid. That said, I’d like better sound and picture and no commercials.😡
Kinda shocked not to have seen City Guys on this list. But instead a bunch of shows that were so bad, the networks wanted to bury and remove from existence all together
Can you make a list like this for English anime dubs? It’s almost impossible to find the legal English dub of Hamtaro in the States. I loved watching it during its original run on Cartoon Network.
Too Close For Comfort is a great show, but surprisingly it's very hard to find.it's OOP.second is The Hogan Family is not on TSOD or syndication, due to subject matter.honorable mention The Torkelsons it's not on TSOD or online stream.Savannah.
Well I have to say that of the entirety of this list... aside from a few of the *ORIGINAL* movies that these ideas came from.. I can safely say that I have neither seen nor ( in MANY cases... like 94% of them) even HEARD of these spinoffs... and I was born in 66 and lived well and truly enjoyed the 80's!! The only ones out of this entire list that even remotely get me curious were " Millennium, and possibly Willow. The rest.. I can safely say I can truly live without having ever known, as the original series or such never even touched me as anything worthy of any time spent watching..
Hard to find shows and movies are kind of my jam I just love obscure lost art it's like finding buried treasure I also like Australian shows and movies that can also be hard to find but they still pop up on eBay now and again
I really love enjoy Willow series more watchable then more most things on Disney plus. Thank goodness with the Disney plus purge removed that awful reboot of cheaper by the dozen and ruined the first two cheaper by the dozen by name.
ive always wanted to watch boston public never could find it anywhere though. heard about chicago hope but didnt want to watch. what about republic of doyle canadian show can`t find that anywhere either.
