I always liked the Coyotes' Kachina look. Way more inventive and unique to the region than anything they've worn since. Those black Flames jerseys would have looked better with a white version of the Flaming "C" on them. I think the problem with the Clippers' new look is that's it's basically a wordmark. Then again, that's a problem with a number of North American sports teams. The NFL and NHL do a significantly better job of avoiding it than the NBA and MLB. Blasphemy! The Nordiques' igloo is one of the most iconic logos in hockey history. The fact that they were going to change their logo has nothing to do with how the old logo looked. The Islanders and Capitals also changed their look in 1995, and it had nothing to do with people thinking the old looks were bad. Should the Blue Jackets' logo even count? They barely even wore it. In the years where they had the stinger, they used the "CBJ" logo as their main crest. That one was patriotic, with thirteen stars representing the original thirteen states, with just the right amount of "new" with the neon green hockey stick. Yeah, that OKC logo sucks. They avoided the cliche of using thunder imagery, but if they didn't want to use a thunderbolt as a logo, why call themselves Thunder? That fisherman logo was awful, but the classic Isles logo did look good on those 90s jerseys. The Crew in that logo just doesn't look right as a sports logo. Photos in general don't look right as sports logos. Miami went with a wordmark logo, just like most baseball teams. The webbed "D" logo is actually fairly clever. It doesn't have the uniqueness and character of the Mighty Ducks logo, but when you consider what the Ducks wore from 2006 until 2014, and even if you don't, the Ducks' current look is pretty good. The Hurricanes logo is good. It's unique, a quality the NHL doesn't embrace enough. The only problem with Carolina is their current jerseys. The ones they wore until 2013 were similarly unique to them, but their current ones are boring. That Nuggets logo is pretty bad.
I still think only good looking flames logo is the red one. I hate white and black ones. If i could, i would make Calgary wear black uniforms at home so they could have that great looking C of red on it instead of black C on red jersey. But i should point out that i am Wild fan myself - if that matters.
As a hardcore hockey fan, this list has way too many NHL logos. Put some variety in and also pick better. The Coyotes trapezoid logo isn't bad at all. There are a few NFL logos that could have been included like the Browns.
I like all the Carolina logos. There main logo is not complex and still looks appealing and cool, and their alternate looks even cooler. I have always loved there alternate jersey witch I think is a tornado flag? Correct me if I'm wrong
@@ryamn2 The current alternate jersey is an actual hurricane warning flag. The original alternate jersey, with a single flag, is a tropical storm warning flag.
I don't think it's so much the logo that's wrong with that jersey. It's the entire scheme of it. The wavy bars and name/number riding the waves is what ruined it. If you kept the Islanders historical color scheme and straight color bars in tact and kept the straight and square name/number... it wouldn't be a bad uniform. Probably better than this new shitty black NY alternate. The angles and waves don't work on a jersey... just ask the '96 STL Blues

the phoenix coyotes logo is so awesome! I'd rate that as one of the best sports logos I've ever seen, and I dont even come from north america, and dont even support the coyotes

Two things. You should've included the Expos with the Nordiques. They're French-Canadian abstract letter twins. And you forgot every Buccaneer logo ever.
Gotta love the mid 90s alternates. Most teams seen the ducks come in and immediately probably wanna add a cartoonish looking elements to their jerseys.
I like a lot of the minor-league type logos like the fisherman. We used to have a minor-league team in Asheville (the Smoke, which featured Wayne Gretzky's brothers Keith as coach as Brent as a sniper), and some of the logos were really cool. Ours was a red, black and silver dragon on a purple and white sweater, but one of the most memorable was that of the B.C. Icemen (Broome County/Binghamton, NY), designed by B.C. comics artist and Binghamton native Johnny Hart. It featured a hockey-playing caveman in the classic style of B.C.
Yeah... As a Dallas Stars fan, I can tell you I would take the Hurricane, Coyotes, and Nordiques logos over the Dallas Stars "Mooterus" Jersey. How dare you not have them on your list! We made the ugliest jersey of all time.
I disagree with them about the Nordiques logo. I thought it was unique and simple at the same time. The Igloo 'N' and the hockey stick with the puck, in my opinion was clever and well put together. It kind of reminds me of what the Expos were going with with their logo. I think it's one of the coolest logos in the history of the NHL. This is coming from a Rangers fan.
