Items will hit the live servers or even PTR stages of a new expansion or patch and with it are tons of new transmogs. Sometimes, however, those transmogs never fully make it into the game and are never formally added or are used exclusively by NPCs when they could be used by players as well.

As others have pointed out, those are recolors of the Golden Bow of Quel’thalas, not Thori’dal. That said, I always thought that the Golden Bow of Quel’thalas was much more legendary-looking than Thori’dal, and I’d love to see the recolors put into the game.

For #8 all of those are recolors of the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas, they have nothing to do with Thori'dal.

Correct, the recolor he mentions is a retexture of the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas. Thori'dal is a unique model.

For your number 4 - At least one of these have been in the game since TBC just not obtainable. Inside the Tempest Keep raid (The Eye) - Some of the very first mobs you encounter named Bloodwarder Marshal is wearing the red re-color of the Warrior T2 set, so that one has at least been in the game since TBC's release.

2 NPCs for Rogue's Quests have been wearing them since forever ago. One is a Tauren in Thunderbluff & another is a Dwarf. They also have a padlock on them, lmao.

Most all of them (I’d say all but I don’t remember 100%) had been datamined back in TBC, I remember the mmoc article about it. I also remember scouring all over everywhere trying to find several of them. I truly do not get why all of a sudden they are being talked about as new, perhaps they removed them from the backend and recently readded them or something?- but they aren’t new by any stretch.

You forgot the blue recolor of the Ymirjar Lords Battlegear from ICC that Muradin wears! The player sets comes in yellow, orange and red but blue is yet to be seen

I've been waiting since wrath for that set to somehow make it's way to some obtainable format. Hoped it would've been an island expedition thing, was sad it wasn't. I'm still hoping it'll be a trading post thing or something (or I'm hoping someone at blizzard does a tomb of sargeras type move and reuses all the icc tier in higher quality, and the blue will be one of the difficulty colors).

8:22 Damn that warrior set is badass. It's actually worn by the Krokul Illidari Commander during the whole Demon Hunter intro questline and Broken Shore Campaign. The rogue one is worn by the goblin spies in the human starting zone.

In the datamining for the Chains of Domination (Patch 9.1) was a Guillotine Weapon, sadly it never came as a useable Item, most likely only for NPC‘s in the Maw or Torghast, also Shalamane was datamined aswell

An honorable Mention for its sheer time gone without being playable, the Metal shoulder with spikes worn by the goblin on the horde Vendor Mammoth,a nd their one-shoulder-only versions. They've actually been in the game since Vanilla, worn by some stranglethorn trolls, and some Defias and I think Syndicate characters, they're actually very similar to the built-in shoulder armor that's part of the Alpha-era rogue/bandit model used for a handful of defias. The skinny one that walks at a bit of an angle.

Number 8 is invalid; those aren't Thori'dal recolors - they recolors of the epic bow from the raid.

going along with the first slot is the fact the blue version of the warrior set used by magni never was released and we only ever gotten a yellow/orange/red versions of the set but not the blue one

There's the helmet that the hazmat gnomes wear in the Gnomeregan dungeon. There is one recolor that is the Goblin Rocket Helmet, but only that, and it's restricted as a Cloth & Engineering transmog. The Rocket Helmet obtained in a quest in Area 52 was once a helmet that had this appearance and could be worn as a helmet, but it's since been demoted to being a toy instead. I'd like to see this red helmet make a return as a proper appearance item.

Another transmog set my friends and I really wanted was the Twilights Hammer exclusive gear from Cata, mainly the hammers used by some of them, and the BOW espescially.

about those T2 recolors, my wild guess it is that they're meant for SoD. They did make recolors for T1 and Dungeon sets for SoD.

There was a beautiful blue and white robe with a vaguely Asian aesthetic that dropped (from Scarlet Monastery, IIRC) early in MoP (I think. It was so long ago...) I immediately farmed it up because it was so gorgeous, but it got replaced with a completely different look after a few weeks. I was always bummed about that.

The recolours of tier 2 will probably be used in sod. As the recolours of dungeon set 0.5 and tier 1 are in sod ptr.

Top 10 underwhelming last bosses (raid edition) Bosses that did not feel like they should have been last bosses to a raid. Mogu’shan vaults comes to mind running that over and over in Remix. Doesn’t even feel like a boss and for it to be the end boss is such a let down

We eventually got the mop challange mod set recolors as legions order hall sets, but they are way too watered down with all missing the coolest looking parts of the original sets, for example paladin missing the wings on the shoulder, same with dks, and warlock helm horn being way shorter just to mention a few

Just a small thing I think you missed to mention Hiru, but most, if not all, of the Order Hall sets from Legion are recolours of the challenge mode sets from MoP, with for instance the rogue sets being identical with the only differences being that the OH-one is green and black instead of red and copper and that the dragons on the shoulders have been removed. Also, I personally think that many weapons that hostile mobs uses are great, like the 2-handed swords and axes of the Twilight Hammer from Cata, or the 2-hand axes used by the Kor'kron during MoP, wich has become quite popular among Horde soldiers nowadays when it comes to npc's weaponry.

calling them "recolours" isn't quite accurate, while some pieces ARE just recolours especially helmets and shoulders are also a different model DK: no horns on helmet and shoulders on the order hall set druid: no cyan or otherwise glowy horn tendril thingies hunter: no wolf head on shoulder and no 'face' on the helmet mage: mainly no particle effects rogue: no dragon sculpture on the shoulders warrior: 99% less horny and no asymetrical shoulders warlock: no fel glow effect monk: no asymetrical shoulders priest: no wing horn thingies on the helmet shamans: no exhaust paladin: no wings on shoulders

For number one. Some of the challenge mode set recolors are actually the legion orderhall sets. The ones where its most obvious is warlock and warrior

What if I told you that armor color variation for paladins just hasn’t been unlocked yet because the quest hasn’t been found yet?🖖 as far as the bows there’s three colors for 3 sisters. you forgot to mention the legion class hall sets are kind of recolors of the Challenge mode armor from MoP just well... not as cool and flashy and way easier to obtain :D
