Yup yup my top wide knit “lounge pants” I got are the literal backbone of my wardrobe for the colder third of the year. If it gets especially cold, have enough space for wearing tights leggings thermal layer etc underneath
Great list. My biggest winterwear tip has been to make use of both arm warmers and leg warmers. I often wear arm warmers on the way to gigs or nights out where I know it will be hot and full of people in the venue, but they keep me warm on the walk or the train, and are small enough to roll into my little crossbody bag when I arrive. Leg warmers are also great for a walk and look cute when you fold them back down over your boots after you get inside.
Watching this from Australia in a state that never gets snow, plus it's summer right now. Although!! My partner is off to the USA next year and the warmest clothes they own are a couple of hoodies... That I bought them!
Hats, vests, and crossbody bags are my definite go-to’s in Fall and Winter too! They give so much extra “scope for imagination” and creativity during the blah weather✨ I always look forward to a cheery and mellow start to my Sundays when you post- Thank you!!💖🌻
Love all essentials in the vid (except the beanie is not my cup of tea), but can't help adding *wool pinafores* for those who like skirts. It can be layered to one's heart's content, like I'm wearing a summer dress for the swooshy underskirt and a longsleeve dress for the upper body warmth underneath my pinafore rn, is hella comfy and adds tons of visual coziness.
OH you are so right about the crossbody purse in the winter. I struggled for years with a regular shoulder bag and wish someone told me that tip earlier. My essential are giant fuzzy earmuffs so my hair doesn't get messed up but I stay cozy warm.
I live in French Alps and my winter essentials are a ski jacket (so ugly but honestly at one point I'm si freezing here I don't care 🤣) and ski-underwears, warm tights and long socks. Where I live, everybody is wearing ski-clothes in the streets because it is soooo freezing. It is really funny and colorfoul and it is even a kind of joke about my city.
I always watch your videos while folding laundry and now that I hear your voice, Im conditioned to fold laundry haha (also love your essentials, rlly satisfying to see for a nosy bish like me)
I do not know if it will make an appereance in this video but I really love your red paisley jacket. I think about it often and am now on an eternal hunt to find something similar 😅 love your videos, they are so inspiring. Greetings from germany :)
one of my absolute favorite thrift finds!! Also I actually saw Alli Cherry literally thrift that exact same jacket in a video and it blew my mind, so there are others out there!!! & thank you hehe honored to have viewers all the way in Germany!
it’s crazy, you’re style barely resembles mine, but i love your videos. they give me direction and inspiration even if I’m not recreating an outfit or part of an outfit you made.
Thank you for this video, it's good to be reminded of those practical everyday styles for winter. Those combinations is pretty much my all year round essentials though (I live in Iceland 😄), even though we do get a couple of warm-ish days during summer as well.
Yes! My essentials are about the same as yours. Although I no longer live in a really cold climate (southern Nevada) (I lived in Minnesota for a long time), it still gets into the 30s here overnight, and I need warm clothes (maybe because I always run cold). My comfy everyday pants are jeans, and I love long sleeved tees -- I wear them under button down blouses and sweaters and blazers (sometimes a tee, blouse, and a cardigan on top). Vests are great along with the tee and a sweater. When I walk in the morning, I need a hat. I would also add mittens as an essential for winter; they keep my hands a lot warmer than gloves. Great video!
Omg, I saw those trousers from the capsule wardrobe video coming up the moment you said elevated lounge pants! :D Also yes for beanies, though I would never ever leave my ears uncovered because they start hurting really bad when it's cold or windy. But but but Liz, where are the mittens and scarves o.O? Also, watching you has really implemented the need to have more vests in my life :DD
I have lost so many lovely, hand-knitted winter hats over the years (expensive ones, too, made from quality natural fibres by local crafters). It makes me sad how short lived they are for me, so I just can't afford to buy fancy ones anymore. Oh well.
Nothing has ever made me unsubscribe faster than a RU-vidr playing mommy and acting as if I'm just a wittle bitty baby uwu that can't remember to drink water on my own. It's just weird in a way that's not fun.
