The waterfall is beautiful and amazing all the waterfalls Wow.. I like everything but I like waterfall number four at the grand hotel giessbach, it's so romantic.. ❤️it..good work to djemo..very nice 👍🌟
@@BulletNumber5va Yippie! Yes, in terms of good feeling to visit, I would say the Giessbach Falls were the most enjoyable. The Rhinefalls are the most majestic waterfalls.
I'm a 100% unique nature lover and that is why i love to see and watch videos from, sea, ocean, mountain, falls and the like.I do love watching all of them, really🌧️❤️🙏
I wasn't aware Switzerland has so many beautiful waterfalls. I've seen some of them, but thanks to you list of places to visit in Switzerland keep getting longer and longer. Excellent video Djemo!
Hi. Thank you very much! This is really great to read. I hope you will have a great time when visiting (and hopefully also when filming) these waterfalls :) I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming videos. I intend to come to Luzern for Xmas Season :)
@@DjemoGraphicI usually do, thanks. After I watched your video, we've visited Aletsch glacier this summer had had a blast. Filming is a tad bit difficult with the little one a the moment, but I try my best. :) So cool. Let me know when you're here and if I'll be free, we could grab some Glühwein. :)
Hi Agniman. I am glad you liked my video thank you. There is a bus from Altdorf Uri that takes you to Unterschächen and even up to the Klausenpass. You need to get out at Unterschächen, Hältikehr. Schedules are on sbb.ch
beautiful! In a month, im going to switzerland for the first time, and im going to visit the foroglio waterfall, but also the engstligen falls, how about that massif waterfall, any idea why it wasnt in the list?
Hi Elly. Thant's great to read! Thank you very much for your comment. I am happy to read that you are now considering visiting Switzerland. I also think the many villages might be interesting for you, it's more quiet there and likely cheaper. You may want to check my newest video. All the best for 2022! Have a great celebration tonight :)
I'm surprised you didn't include the famous Reichenbach Falls, where Sherlock Holmes and his archnemesis supposedly died in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books. It would be nice to see it feature in a future video.
Hi Martin. Thank you! That's the plan. This here will not be the last Top 10 Waterfall video I made :) And the Reichenbachfalls would be in such a list next time!
They are all wonderful, but anytime I can hike and enjoy a green valley, Simmental cattle with their bells, church bells in the village and a lovely waterfall--I'm in heaven!
We were visiting Canton Glarus when this video came out. We took your suggestions & visited the Diesbach Falls & the Berglistuber Falls. Wow! Both gorgeous!!!! Thank you for your awesome videos!
Hi Marion. Wow! That's great to read. Thank you so much for taking my advices into your consideration. I am very happy that you had a great time at both waterfalls.
Thank you very much Djemo for this video ! As always; Great filming and Switzerland 🇨🇭 is so beautiful ! Thank you for the time and effort to show us all this
Hey! Thanks for your nice feedback! Yes, indeed, I have put very hard work into this video. Around 1.5 years of creating filming material. Happy to read that you liked the outcome.
@@DjemoGraphic 1.5 year ! Incredible! We were blessed to watch it today as a family ! I get to show it to my kids how beautiful Switzerland 🇨🇭 is ! I congratulate you for your work and I’ve watched many of your videos ! You were the one that give me the idea to visit valle Vercasca and Corippo. I’m a big fan of your channel and maybe one day you’ll make a video in Geneva ! If you do, please make sure to contact me as I would love to welcome you and support you in your project. And if you ever have time, check my channel as well. Hope to see you one day.
Could you include info on public transport - perhaps a separate video? We plan to get a train to Lenk, then 1 bus to Simmenfälle, walk to Iffigfälle & get a second bus back.
Hi. Thanks for your suggestion. I will try to film the busstops next time. Doing everything on public transport will be though too much of an effort for going to all of these waterfalls just for that. I suggest to check on google maps the nearest busstop and then go to sbb.ch and check the connections. The sbb app is very useful!
@@DjemoGraphic Yes indeed - I use both - unfortunately Google seems to be weaker in Switzerland (e.g. the street view of the main road from Interlaken to Thun along the north of Lake Thun is not even complete - Merligen Beatus bus stop is not shown & most of the coverage is years old) - I thought the court case was resolved in 2015? Strangely almost all bus stops are shown as 1 stop for both directions (so two stops 50m apart, on opposite sides of the road are shown as 1 single stop - what if they are 300m/750m apart - could be the difference between getting a bus & not). I never realised how much I rely on street view before my 1st visit to Venice (before they added it - I have actually seen the Google 'canal view' boat I think). 🙂
One I'd like to add is schmadribachfalle/holdrifalle in the rear lauterbrunnen valley, you need to hike about 2 hours to actually see the holdrifalle but it's totally worth it.
Hii. Thank you very much for your nice comment. Happy to see you have watched this video also. I think it's a very useful one, especially for Summer season :) Please visit the Giessbach Falls!
So hard to choose 1, they are all beautiful and spectacular in their own way. I liked no. 10 the best for it’s uniqueness and location. Thank you again for sharing these stunning Swiss waterfalls and landscapes.
First of all, thank you for your effort to make this video. Really interesting to see how you select the waterfalls. Glad to see, Trummelbachfalls is in number three. Does Reichenbachfall deserve to be on your list?
Hi Dina. Thank you! The Reichenbachfalls are not part of this year's list because else it would be too many waterfalls in the Bernese Oberland and the list less representative of the different regions of Switzerland.
Hi Mian. You mean the Staubbachfall? Ya, that Waterfall is amazing! Its really impressive to see it with the village in the foreground. I hope you can visit it some day. The reason why I did not put it at number 1 is because the waterfall is not too powerful in terms of amount of water and theres not much to do besides walking almost behind. The rhinefalls, Trümmelbachfalls or Giessbachfalls offer more.
Absolutely wonderful sharing! So beautiful nature! Wonderful place and very beautiful waterfalls! Thank you for sharing with us! Have a nice day my friend.
Hey Simon. Merci villmal. Freut mi, dasses Video dir gfalle hett. S'gitt no so einigi Wasserfäll meh. Eventuell mueni denn nöchst Jahr mini Liste scho wieder apasse😊
Im enthralled with all this beauty and also your effervescent smile! We will be in BO in late September 21-27. We fly overnight to Paris and then take the train to Interlaken to recoup from jet lag. We thought of two nights in Interlaken so we could take the boat trip on Lake Brienz and visit Giessback Falls, lunch at the hotel and perhaps Iselback village. Aso, we'd like to rent bicycles to explore the area as well. Then we thought of spending three days in Wengen or Murren to hike around and visit Shilthorn and Lauterbrunnen and the falls in the valley. From there we thought of taking the Golden Line to Lausanne and visiting the Chillon Castle before we take the train to Paris. I'd love to have any feedback on our proposed itinerary.
Hi. Thank you very much for your nice words!😊 Your itinerary sounds good. There might be Alpabzug in Lauterbrunnen and Chästeilet in Wengen during these dates. Please check the exact dates. These are very interesting traditions of ours😊 Have a great trip to Switzerland in September🇨🇭
@@DjemoGraphic Thank you so much, I will check it out! I also found out about the Ballenburg festival which sounds interesting as well. We love music, cows, cheese and all things Swiss 😀
@@DjemoGraphic Well, from East to West: Spissbachfalle and Oltschibach, both at Meiringen, well to be seen from the main road. Definately not touristy, but with a drone; great footage to be made. And ofcourse driving to Rosenlaui valley; that schlucht; it's like a smaller Trummelbach with amazing vieuws around. Reichenbachfalle you covered? Now going all the way west to the little vally called Suldtal at Spiez/ Aeshi. There is the Pochtenfall. A 15 minute hike from restaurant Suldtal. You can walk around it; 1 hour hike 300 m.climbing. In the valley of Kiental, next to Suldtal, the schlucht and waterfalls at Griesalp are pretty. And much western, at Lauenen, Simmental, there is the impressive Geltenschuss, a little bit of a hike to get there.. GruBe from die Niederlande :-)
I have never been to Switzerland, am planning a trip there for 6 of us. You make good points for visiting less crowded beautiful places like these. Thank you!!
Hey André. That's really great to hear! Thank you so much for considering my travel advices. If someone asks, why you travelled there or got to know of these secret places, I would VERY much appreciate if you could give a quick mention of my channel. This would be really nice of you! Sorry if I am asking for too much. I hope you will have a great hike to the Siebenbrunnen. Combine with the nearby Iffigfall, it's in Lenk too!
Hey Simon! Bin imfall grad letzt Wuche dete gsi. Hett leider nid würkli Wasser gha. Glaube im Mai, Juni ischs besser. Müesstis denn mal go aluege.
I’ve been to rheinfall, Siebenbrünnen, giesbach wasserfall, staubachfall , and the one in Lauterbrunnen. Probably you missed one of the most beautiful water fall in Adelboden! Please visit Engstligen waterfall, thanks to me lter🥳👌
Hi Leonora. Thank you very much! Yes, waterfalls are always fascinating. I love them everywhere in the world, alpine, tropical... soo beautiful always! Never been to Fiji but I heard it's a paradise!
The whole country is a paradise. All the beautiful falls are there. The cascades, water drops, splashing water of all the waterfalls are amazing.I love Staubbach,,Stäuber,Giesbach-lake Brienzersee,Foroglio,Sibenbrunnen, Mürrenbach falls und den schönsten Rheinfall. How can select one favourite falls, when all the falls in the paradise mesmerise me? ,Djemo, the Food and the Drink you relished in the last scene of the Video are also Super 👍.
Hallo Chandirakanthan. Thank you so much for your nice comment. I am very happy that you enjoyed this video, especially that you liked most of these waterfalls. The dinner at the Schlössli Wörth is really quite a highlight! I can highly recommend it. It has many vegetarian options too!
Hi. At some places you can swim. Mostly the water is very cold. Swimmable I think are Berglistüber, Foroglio Waterfall and Giessbachfall only at the very bottom. At the other places, there is either not enough water or it's too dangerous. In general, in Switzerland almost everything is allowed, just always at your own risk. It's not like in the US, where some other party has to be responsible for you, meaning: whatever you do, it's at your own risk and you take full responsibility for your own safety.
You forgot the Seerenbachfälle, great to reach there, even by handicaped situations. Unique way of Parking your car and starting BBQ nearby. Thanx for your graet shootings by drone 👏🏽
Hi. Thanks a lot for your nice comment! I went to Seerenbachfälle but there was barely any water. It was like a sprinkle only :( That's why I could not include them last time. I try for an updated Top 10 list :)
Awesome video 😃 my favorite from your list is probably Giessbach. For my personal top, I would add Schaftobelfall (near Bad Alvaneu) and an honorable mention would go to Reichenbachfall in Meiringen 😊
There is nothing that I like more than viewers/subscribers who watch my videos to the end and then even come up with their own suggestions🥰🥰🥰 Thank you very much! The Reichenbachfalls deserve a mention. Though, I wanted to include them for the next year's Top 10 Video. The Schaftobelfall I did not know so far. I am really glad that you suggested it to me!🤗😊
Hoi Urs. Absolut.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful waterfalls. I am the guy you met last weekend in Silsersee. I was with my kid and I took a short video for you if you still remember. I think Engstligen Falls is also very beautiful which can be counted in top 10 list too.
Hey Hsiang-Yu. Yes, I remember you. Really nice to see your comment. We met at this small peninsula. It was nice to meet you. I am a great fan of your country! I agree, the Engstlingen Falls deserve to rank among the top 10. Such a list will be updated after I completed more travels. I guess there are still too many waterfalls, I did not visit yet😊 Thank you for the tipp!
Aloha JM! Good to see you again (virtually)! Nice to see the finished product. We enjoyed playing a very, very small role. I guess I need to come back and see the other 8 on your list. Take care and hope to see you in my neck of the woods. Cheers!
Aloha Geno! Great to see you here. Thank you very much for your comment. It was really nice to meet you and especially visiting the Trümmelbachfalls together. Once again, thank you very much to you and Lauren for helping me but even more for being such a great company. I hope to see you again sometime either here or in Hawaii :) Best regards to Lauren also
Hi Mary. For the Rhinefalls as I mentioned in the video: Yes. There is a train station also nearby the Diesbachfall, which I did not mention in the video; thank you :) The rest cannot be reached by train; need to take a car, boat or hike.
Wow! I can Emagine the night in the room with the Waterfalls overview at the Balkony Costs 1,500 franken😆. Since even no Star Hotel Costs 150-200 fanken a night
Hi Naima. You may check the prices and be surprised that they are between 200-450.- CHF. But for such locations I bet you would pay considerably more if it was in other countries. The good thing is that the hotel chose to apply very moderate prices, since it's under Franz Weber's Foundation.
Hi. Thank you! I just rewatched the part about the number 9 Diesbachfall and I could not find the mistake. Could you maybe pkease share the time code with me, so that I may check?
Rheinfall werde ich demnächst besuchen! 😃 Wann ist die beste Zeit im Jahr? Von den anderen habe ich schon mehrere absolviert: Staubbachfall, Trümmelbachfall, la Floda, nach deinen Tipps! 😘🤗
Hey.
@@DjemoGraphic How are the glaciers in November in recent times. Will there be fresh snow atleast on Jungfrau and Matterhorn? Is november too rainy in Switzerland. How are the Laterburnen water falls at that time, with respect to recent years.
Hey Dominic. It's been a long time I didnt hear from you! So happy to see you back here :) I plan to go back to South East Asia, but they are totally closed at the moment. Thus, it's not possible for me to travel there. I am still hoping for 2022. Let's see how the global situation is developping.
@@DjemoGraphic Thnx for your answer. I kinda don't understand why some countries (Australia neither does it) don't let people in even if they're vaccinated. I also hope for better times in 2022 as I intend to visit Penang. :) Alternatively, I maybe do a round trip in the Baltic for 2 weeks.
@@d_mosimann I don't know either. I would love to return to Asia in 2022: Japan, Bhutan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong-Kong are my priority. But well... let's see how the entire global situation develops. Very hard to predict. We only can stay hopeful.
Good choice, Djemo....but I would have liked to see the Reichenbachfälle (near Meiringen, Berner Oberland)....on the way to the Grosse Scheidegg. These falls consist of 5 stages over a height of 250 meters. It appears that it's another one of the falls which are not very well known....but worth a visit!
@ JustinaGritzan ...sorry, didn't see your comment along the same 'train of thoughts about the Reichenbachfälle;, before hititng SEND to Djemo..lol. Given that he agrees with both of us, these falls will likely make an appearance in his next version of the 10-most-beautiful-Waterfalls-of-Switzerland. Take care.
Hi André. I always had the Reichenbachfalls in mind but I did not want to have too many falls in this list that were located in the bernese Oberland. A future Top 10 list may include these falls and probably also the Engstlingen- and Seerenbachfalls too.
Great and detailed video… I want to take a dip in a waterfall in swiss or jump into it from little height(just like cliff jumping).. can u mention which would be the bestest and safest option??
Hi. I don't think any waterfall on this list would be suitable. Maybe number 4 at the very bottom? But even about that one I am not sure if it's safe. Better swim at the Verzasca Valley
hi, thanks to your videos, we were able to plan our trip back in September 2021. because of how beautiful the trip was, we plan on going back there June. How is the weather in mountains/alps for that month? thank you! planning to mostly stay in Murren :)
Hi Angel. Wow! That's awesome to read! Thank you so much for letting me know and moreover taking my advices into consideration. The weather up in the Alps should be fine. Visibility wise: Matterhorn cannot be seen for granted. Mürren is good for 2 days max. I would suggest to go to Giessbach as well. Then also consider a visit to Iseltwald and Rosenlaui :)
Beautiful video and something different! My favorite one is Giessbach waterfalls - This waterfall has an amazing view at night as well. I would say I love these 3 -- Giessbach, Rhine Falls, and Staubbach Falls... I am happy that two of my favorites are from my favorite place - Bernese Oberland. I enjoyed watching this video...
Hi Abdul. Thank you so much for your comment! Yes, I wanted to present a little bit of a different video this time. I am glad that you enjoyed the Giessbachfalls, Rhine Falls (you got no choice when being my friend :-P) and the iconic Staubbach Falls. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed this video; with so much Berner Oberland content, I was quite confident that you are going to like this video :)
@@DjemoGraphic Thanks a lot... yes, I really liked this video and I have to say this, the Giessbachfalls night view is equally or even amazing... Brienz and Giessbachfalls are the places where I really wanted to explore more on my next trip...
