i went kayaking off the shore of a beach in puerto rico and my iPhone fell off the kayak with my nuud life proof case but i didn't notice. when i got back i to shore realized my phone was gone so my friends and i put on some snorkels to look for my phone. thank god the water was clear but it still took 1hr to find it in the 25ft water about 400-500 ft away from shore but my phone still worked(((((:

cams glam I have the life proof fre and it goes way past the limit in water. It is the best case I have ever had and I'm gonna stick with it. I would definitely recommend it. I think the reason that his failed is because it might've been a defected one.

The cases aren't designed to have extra thickness (the napkin) and that may have created gaps in the seal.

The reason why most of those cases failed is because there all designed for the specific shape of the phone, and you put a tissue in the back of them which put stress where there shouldn't be stress and stretched the cases in odd places which opened up the sides just enough for water to get in, that's why most of them were soaked on the inside...

you would be surprised but those cases are molded to a model of the phone, so naturally that tissue would effect it because it disturbs the shape of the phone, which does stuff to the case.

I've used LifeProof for a long time dropped it in water and never leaked, maybe the napkin in the case is causing it to leak, because they have a tight fit

They obviously need to run test again. Adding that paper towel is not following the manufacture direction. Secondly encasing outdoor with dirt and debris can compromise the gasket's seal.

Bessmate and the Joto Pouch are the cheapest ones. Bessmate is around 20$ and the Joto Pouch is around 10$. Seido Obex is about 50-70$. The dog and bone wetsuit is very expensive but probably worth it, it's 80$. I recommend the Bessmate one because it's not as ghetto as the pouch but it's really up to you ;) Hope that helped for whoever is reading this ;)

+Márton Tichi I have 5s and i use the life proof nuud, you can also get the life proof fre but i like the look of the nuud better. In the video, life proof didn't seem good but i have dropped it on my driveway A LOT, in the pool and my phone works good as new no problems :)

The cloth u put in there probably messed with it and the bucket. The bucket breaks down on how much water pressure was pushing into the case. Just wanted to let anybody know.

Paula Tusia I see nothing wrong with what I wrote, the bucket surrounding it with very little holes, has less pressure inside then if the phone was just out side of the bucket in the water.

You still need a physics class. The water pressure on the phones is the same inside the can or side of it at the same depth.

Paula Tusia but wouldn't it lessen because the water is pressing on the phones through the cans, and not just the phone itself
