I thought this was gonna be players missing the entire board like Andy Smith at 3:46, as any non scoring dart could fit into this so it's funny to see these clips, even the pros have the odd dart that slips out their hand.
A mate of mine was playing Martin Adams during an exhibition and a combination of nerves and the 10 JD and Cokes he'd had beforehand meant his first dart stuck in the wall about 8 inches off the ground.
I’ve watched many many matches and this happens all the time, players slightly going above or below doubles. These aren’t really off the board, because the board is the whole thing
Players missing the board when throwing for a single or treble definitely doesn't happen all the time. When they are going for the doubles it's different of course.
U put the wrong clip on for Quiang Sun. it was the shot after that he missed the board, that was the shot where he bust. Just thought I’d point it out, great video tho. 👍
I srsly don't get it, if they aim for the specific area of the board thats mean chances that dart goes too high/low/left/right is pretty much they same. And if they miss by idk 1-2cm why the hell commentators are surprised wtf. In this video i saw like 3 darts that actually miss the board.
Anyone remember this... I have been looking for the clip but can't find it anywhere . bdo world championship, think the Match involved gary anderson.. player going for tops.. slips out of his hand. Hits either 3 or just outside the board and Tony green uttered the immortal line "Ohh that's a big snatch"
recently john henderson got a good one ; he got 35 and 2 darts left , wen for single 3 (to leave 32) but he landed in T11 instead , with his last darts he got the D1 :)
