The aussie guys are some of the realest car enthusiasts. No excuses,arguing,or bickering. Just building bad ass cars to actually drive, enjoy and beat the balls off of. Hats off to em.
There's definitely bickering over here but it's more in the mid-range modded car scene (like not TT LS swapping whatever cause you have a fuck load of money, but not only changing an exhaust on your brand new BRZ cause you don't wanna change too much, that happy middle ground of being semi-permanently broke)
I love Australia! I mean I love it. I’m in Graduate school at Texas A&M University. Last semester I did a little research on Australia’s venomous Elapids. That’s a classification of snakes ( Cobras, Mambas Taipans Coral Snakes etc.) We we’re in NE Australia and I had a Coastal Taipan on a snake hook (3rd most venomous snake on Earth) when a super loud Holden came hauling ass down the road we were by. Taipans are super sketchy and nervous snakes that flip out with very very little provocation. When the car came by the snake came bake over it’s own body and sailed right past my face. The snake and I both pissed ourselves.
Ive never spoken to a Texan I didn't like meeting. They've all been nice people and down to earth. Come back to Oz and enjoy yourself. And yeah taipans are sketchy. I've come across a few in Queensland and they made me nervous . My uncle had a sugarcane farm and I almost stepped on one fetching golf balls I'd hit into the freshly plowed canefields

I love the Aussie's car culture. There's several good channels on here with car projects from AU and NZ. Benny's custom works, The skid factory, Nugget Garage, The LAb.
19:00 has to be one of the most perfectly filmed corners of the century. You can see how damn hard the dude is locked in just by his facial expression.
If you do make it out for Bathurst make sure that you're standing waiting for the cars at Reid Park through to McPhillamy corner. I don't care what anyone says but in my opinion that's the best stretch of racetrack anywhere in the world.

Would've been nice to see less ls's in this top 10 and a bit more variety of engines, there's more than just ls's at powercruise. Don't get me wrong I like ls's but it's kinda boring seeing 9 in a row 👍
Maybe it’s not a coincidence 😂😂 it’s an Americans opinion. most of these are either straight line cars or built to skid and building an LS is cheaper than a Barra any day of the week

What makes the aussies so much better than the us is right when the R31 skyline comes off the track after blowing a set of tires and the official goes to take his wrist band, and dude says it was for the media and he lets him slide..
As an Aussie, I'm ashamed to say that the NZ'ders are even more laid back than us. They make us look up tight.... That and they were running 3rd in the space race until they ran out of scaffolding tube.
Still waiting for them to go to NZ, the car scene here is a lot bigger than you would think given the 5m population. Just things like 4 & Rotary Nationals, Drift Matsuri, Waimate 50, Powercruise etc
