Don’t blame the VFX artists, blame the studio who doesn’t give the artists the time to do what they need to, while constantly making changes at the last second because they couldn’t figure out how their film should look in pre-production…

Many MCU fans have legit reasons to dislike Phase 4, including some shoddy writing, downgraded effects compared to the previous films, unnecessary left pandering that's a disgrace to the folks they tried to represent, some cringe-inducing comedy, and overall not being as exciting as the previous 3 Phases. Sure, you DO have a point about most of the MCU entries here being pre-Phase 4. But saying that I jumped into the hate-train is exaggerating it. So please read this before you make your argument.

Yes Bruce in the Hulkbuster looks really weird it look like his neck was stretched when he finally took off the helmet. That just looked beyond weird as heck but when he was doing the Iron Man thing so when he had the UI around him that was good

They should've still had the model from the first one, but maybe it's one of those cases where some unnecessary "important" person needed to justify their job by telling the cgi people to make a better version in less time. The unnecessary "important" people do that all the time.

Third eyes (or cyclopses) are uncanny cause they are unnatural design, because every eye we ever seen is a distinct left and right with one tear duct impacting the direction and contour of the eye is shaped.

Literally never had a problem with any of these, though some I missed and only saw now. The early MCU complaints like in Cap 1 or Avengers never even came to mind at any point in the multiple times I've seen them since coming out.

I will say this, I don’t agree with a lot of these. When it comes to Bucky’s fall I never saw any problems, for Avengers I say it more apparent that they’re in front of a giant green screen rather than the Chitari looking bad, I never saw any problems in the final battle of Black Panther; even watching the scenes after the CG problems were pointed out I still can’t see it. But: I agree that Banner’s head on the Hulkbuster looks weird, Yelena’s explosive thing I’d argue that it deserves to be #1 because dear lord it just looks horrible, basically almost all of the CG for phase 4 (try saying that five times fast) just took the piss and the VFX crew needs more time to get this stuff back in shape. Marvel, in the very limited possibility that someone there reads this, cut all the live action shows and let the VFX team mainly focus on the movies. That way the movies, which should be your top priorities, will look better and the VFX team can actually have some rest. Please forgive the rant.

It feels like there's a subtle narrative throughout this video... I can't quite put my finger on it... something about praising certain projects and excusing their bad CGI while downplaying certain other projects and over-critiquing their bad CGI. Hulkbuster isn't worse than Black Panther.

1) 9 should have been 1, not only was it profoundly awful but it was also one of the film’s key scenes; botching that completely robbed the audience of the moment. 2) Early MCU CG actually holds up pretty well, considering its age. No one was really complaining about the invasion compared to the criticism you see for the last few films/shows. 3) No mention of RDJ’s horrid de-aging? Come on... 4) I feel like the poor CG in Love & Thunder actually suited the tone of the rest of the film quite well, it didn’t notably stand out among all the other garbage we were made to sit through.

Notice how most are in Phase 4? I think they went for quantity over quality and paid for it. Hopefully they learned their lesson and make Phase 5 and beyond as good as the MCU use to be.

Christian Bale complained about the fact that he had worked with the excessive amount of green screens is one thing!! But to see that it is so obviously used is just pathetic!! If you are going to use green screen, do it the “James Cameron” way like he did with Avatar or the way he did for Terminator 2 which I prefer more!! I would also suggest is the “Christopher Nolan” or “Denis Villeneuve” way where realism is the focus and giving it a cinematic feel to the film!!

A low-budget 90s film would have done Axl's head better for the simple fact that they would have just shown his head with a simple and cheap transparent and lighting effect that already looked perfected by the time Princess Leia sent her message to Obi-Wan. There was no reason whatsoever why that effect needed any CGI whatsoever. It's one of the most baffling cases of spending a lot of time and money to make something worse than what could have been accomplished by a savvy teenage moviemaker in their basement. For that matter, I'm still not sure why She-Hulk had to be animated.

9:34 watch how Nathalie Portman is positionned : she's not facing the same direction as the others. Why : because Marvel only does composite shots, even when it's a scene in a classroom. Shoot first, post-production will handle the rest. That is a horrible way to make a movie.

This is a joke right? I mean, do you know what bad CGI is? The Chuitari certainly weren't shitty. They actually hold up better than a lot of recent gafs. The VFX on Ms Marvel shouldn't be top notch. The budget for effects on Disney+ shows is NOWHERE near what it is on tent pole theatrical releases. Putting an unfinished "trailer" effect on the list. Yeah....... nothing else to call out on that choice. The effects of the suits in Black Panther isn't an issue. Especially in the end when the suit can't close after Eric is stabbed. The long fall into the vibranium mine is the only bad part. The rest........... not good, but at least they aren't the DCEU's CGI quality.

I don't know how you watch movies, but bad CGI doesn't necessarily take me out of the movie. I can look past it. What takes me out of a movie is a bad script, bad acting, and bad editing.

It’s movie fans that are ruining the MCU. Instead of enjoying the fact that superheroes are actually on the big screen like any other comic book fan, we get videos like this of obvious non fans just ripping it apart. If some of you movie goers just stopping talking and let actual fans enjoy the ride, the universe would be better for it.
