I feel like that should be reversed because that game was out way before sword and shield was announced so Pokemon is pretty much stealing from mario lol
My parents were extremely strict about video games when I was a kid and I was almost never allowed to play them. One weekend my dad let me rent one game from Blockbuster and I rented Mario’s time machine for the NES. I remember being so excited just to be extremely let down after a few minutes. I’m glad I’m finally being vindicated 25 years later since it’s #1 on this list.
What awful parents you must have..... When I was a kid, my parents allowed me to watch Naruto and play the video games based on it which, by the way, many of them are rated T for Teen!
Not-so-fun fact: For getting the wrong answer, Luigi’s romantic partner Princess Daisy (though she could be mistaken as Peach for the long blonde hair) talked to him angrily in this joke of a game. Even fans of the character would likely find that out of character for her, but I mainly blame it on this game for being a disappointment, even as an educational Mario game.

And the worst thing about Mario Pinball Land that makes it one of the inferior Mario games: Princess Peach being a helpless damsel with a stereotypically feminine(ly high) voice by Jen Taylor. No wonder she’s underhated in games like these. Yep, even Mario games that I love like the mid-2000s Mario RPGs. And Super Mario Galaxy. Anyone saw that coming?
Normally Mario Lost Levels would suck, but playing it on the Mario Game & Watch supremely makes everything better, so I think its good even though Nathanial doesn't like it.
10: Still, it's a Mario Party game, gotta have it for the collection 9: Well, I can safely say it was not very thrilling (Again, have to keep the set going) 8: Never played it 7: I disagree, I enjoyed it. 6: Never played it, but could tell even when it was new it wouldn't be fun 5: Definitely frustrating 4: Never played 3: Never played 2: Never liked Mario is Missing (Other than the music) 1: Even Mario is Missing was more fun than this!
The funniest thing about Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is that Yamamura from Mario Maker prefers calling them “courses” instead of “levels”, I guess that pigeon didn’t wanna be reminded XD
"If the game is on a Nintendo console, it can be put on this list." Can't wait until 2023 when Nathaniel relents about this rule the same way he did about "I just need to be able to play as Mario for the game to count" :)
When Nathaniel made his original Top 10 Mario Games list in 2013, he had a rule that he only needed to be able to play as Mario for a game to be put on the list, and therefore, he put a bunch of spinoff titles on the list, and then he wouldn't stop regretting his decisions out loud in subsequent videos about four years later. I'm saying that since Nathaniel had a similar rule like that for this list, the same thing will probably happen in the future.
I always think about this during your videos. Based on your rankings, you'd rather play Mario Party 9 or Ultra Smash rather than The Lost Levels. Is that accurate?
Oh my god, I almost forgot about Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine 😂😂😂 I played them on emulators in the mid 2000s and I was never sure if they were actual games or just some random stuff someone created as a rom. That's how bad they are
The Lost Levels was basically most of the hot garbage that could have been in Super Mario Bros. (but some levels slipped through and got there anyways, like 4-4, 7-4 and 8-4)
Yeah, that game is super boring. At least the creatures in it are nice, but there is no other way to exit but killing yourself. The missions are super hard. That game is hard as hell.
@@HAWKTUAH43 And the story sucks. The devs really didn't do a good job writing the story. You can't select your own nickname and you can't even customize yourself unless you have a lot of money.
I glad that i can use the item "phone" and "computer", but other then that, this game is kinda bad. Plus, you upgrade very slow. Like veeeeery slooooooow.
I feel like he didn't even play Mario Clash. The game has 99 level and the stages progressively evolve and add more enemies. It would be like if you said, in Super Mario Bros. You only run Right for 32 stages and that's it, bad game.
Mario party 10: Exists The fanbase: It can’t get worse than this! Mario party the top 100: Bonjour Mario party advance: Are you sure about that? I thought mario party 10 was decent but I wasn’t expecting anything worse.
I don’t think sticker star Star was that bad it was their first paper Mario on a handheld and it was meant for casual players. Was it good no does it deserve all this hate no
The first mario game I actually played was mario is missing on a laptop. I honestly don't know why I had it on a laptop but at the time I actually really enjoyed that game.
The only reason I'm okay with how terrible the lost levels is is the fact that one of my favorite games and a really fun platformer, Super Mario Bros. 2, and the new characters that stuck around would have never happened otherwise. The game itself is not fun unless I just want to play around with the hardest Mario game ever and there is no way I'm playing it without rewind
@@NathanielBandy I know that feeling. Plus, you have learned this from your old Top 10 Mario Games. Nice to see that you've got your priorities straight.
Nah Mario is missing was such a fun game and my kid *that I don’t have* had a lot of fun with it! He was so happy that he banged his head on his wall while seeing the abominationthat is “Mario”
Mario’s Time Machine would have been a Sonic CD like game: a time traveling adventure to rescue the princess in different time periods. But we got another edutainment game... I’d prefer JumpStart than any of these educational Mario roadkills.
When you realize MARIO is missing isn’t on Nintendo Switch online Edit:Thanks for the likes and comments never been a top comment before but its probably gonna go away soon
StarFantasy2007 I realized what the title of the level was a day after I uploaded it! Just too lazy to REupload it 😂. Point is, ignore the title. But I don’t have my Switch with me.
For some reason, whenever i see the Virtual Boy's colours, it reminds me and makes me feel a really bad tasting medical syrup, i hate it, i don't even wanna imagine how bad your headaches were while playing it, thank god i'm from South America
I remember back in the day I rented Mario’s Time Machine from Blockbuster. I think I played it for about ten minutes, had no clue what I was doing, was beyond bored and never touched it again until we took it back lol.
@@matheo000 Sticker Star has numerous issues and is nothing compared to the previous games in the series. The game strips away pretty much all creativity from the series. You have Bowser's Minions and that's it. Fan favorite ideas, like partners, and unique NPC's are all gone. Every world is just a generic grass, desert, snow, or jungle world. And the battles follow an annoying gimmick. Personally, I've gotten used to the stickers, and I quite like them, but there is a lot about the system that is just... not good. There is no incentive for battling any enemies whatsoever. Boss battles are really annoying. It's just spamming thing stickers, while using a specific thing sticker at a specific time. However, despite all of this, we got fairly good writing, really nice level design & puzzles, fantastic music, and really nice visuals (for a 3DS game). It's probably the worst Paper Mario game to ever exist. But even so, if you can get past the battle system, there is still fun to be had, and it's still a good experience overall.
@swirly boot8465 no he is making a joke about Mario and Luigi partners in time is also a Mario game about time travel and how it is much better, so r/woooosh.
NB: That award goes to Mario Party Advance, the most forgotten-about title in the entire franchise Right after: I 'remember' owning this as a kid and was so excited to play this with my friends. Until I realized that this is not a standard Mario party game.
@@betne5523 Nothing, it’s a good game. Nathaniel said what kind of power up hurts you in a Mario game while talking about super Mario Bros. 2 the lost levels which isn’t a good game. But he forgot that a good game, super Mario 3d land also has the poison mushroom
It really does question me why Hotel Mario was left off this list. Maybe because it would be way too predictable, unless this video had dishonourable mentions.
