I live in Cape Coral and have grew-up in the tice area as a child. Get your fact straight there, buddy Tice 25 years ago was a nice area until all the migrants moved in and ran the housing market into the tank. The Alva are is a very highly desired area and low crime. I WILL give you Sun Coast and Pine Manner. If Lee County is so bad why is it the fastest growing county in FL. The biggest problem we have in Ft Myers is all the people moving from Miami and bringing crime with them.

I agree….everything N of College Pkwy/41 past MLK and including Palm Beach Blvd. is the pits. West of and including McGregor is nice/expensive. Downtown is good, but things happen sometimes when guns and alcohol mix. 👀
Great video but 2 corrections.. number one... Suncoast and palmona park ( AKA Scumcoast and Palmetto Park) are two totally separate places. I grew up in Suncoast through the 80s and 90s.. as a teenager we usually did not get along with Palmetto Park boys but All these years later, most of us are friends lol. Number two.. the shell factory did not used to be in Bonita springs. it's always been in North Fort Myers. I am 43 years old and I have a picture when I was 4 years old standing inside the big conch shell that was on the business side of 41 entrance. There might have been a small offshoot of the shell factory that was in Bonita but that main shell factory has always been in NFM for as long as I can remember
I’m fifth generation Bonita and Estero area. I actually have great grandparents who used to work at the shell factory in Bonita Springs That burned down like 70 years ago. When my great grandparents were still alive, I used to hear the stories all the time and my 91 year-old grandpa still tells them. So whether it was the same one or not, I can’t say I just know all the stories they tell about working at the Shell factory in Bonita

My daddy worked his ass off, and I lived in almost every single one of those neighborhoods from Lehigh acres to Suncoast to Sanibel Island I lived in Tice all those places and my dad busted his ass working day, labor, and driving a busted ass car that he had to start with the fucking screwdriver and still put me through school

Great video Jose. I must say though being a fort myers native and growing up in pine manor since 1993-2016. Let me tell you it’s nothing what it use to be in the 90s- early 2000s. There was an unwritten rule to not be outside when the sun went down that’s how bad it was. The gang that flooded that neighborhood was a Hispanic gang I’d rather not name. The LCSO and of course the crackdown of immigration in the early 2000s took them out. Yes there’s always been drug problems but what neighborhood doesn’t. The way you portray Pine Manor is bizarre. Only people who grew up there when it was living up to its name “Crime Manor” felt the reap from it. Let me compare what Pine Manor was. Back in the day it was like Compton now it’s like a Zen Garden.
It does look like this was made shortly after Ian. We are still recovering. If you didn't have a couple 100 thousand dollars to rebuild. Your waiting on FEMA and your insurance. Meantime these people have to pay to live. Some pay for their condos and can't live in them. Homes ok but the power was destroyed under the condos. Waiting to go home for almost 2 years. Pray for no disasters. Relief is not coming. They did bring us army ration meals and water. People helping people was the only way. Had to be here. Couldn't even run. No time😳

Its sad every racial group blames the other..We all left East Ft Myers when the Hispanics moved in and the crime became out of control so the people moved to Lehigh and were followed so they all moved to Cape Coral and again im sure being followed..But yes every group of people has there good and bad

Globalization hurt a lot of towns. We outsourced a lot of or manufacturing plants and that put a lot of people out of work. I knew homeless people when I was younger but they were clean. The camps were clean and well maintained. I think heroin and opiates make people more disorganized.
A lot of the problems in lehigh have to do with the fact that we have to borrow cops from the county and Fort myers. If we could get more law enforcement presence it would most likely improve. Possibly help FM too.
I knew a guy who was a hard working contractor and turned into a meth addict living behind that hotel near Bunch beach(Radisson inn i think). He would sneak in the hotel pool for his shower. I think S.W Florida would be the absolute worst place in the US to be homeless during the summer. Winter probably is okay for the most part. It gets hot and humid as hell here and the bugs and critters make living in the woods dangerous. My brother is a local contractor and he hires illegals mostly because they do work there tails off and he avoids all the normal workman's comp and other cost of hiring Americans. (I do not condone this at all). I have personally been competing with non Americans since college. Many colleges will offer foreign students scholarships over Americans and then they stay here after graduating taking the best sport coaching jobs. So dam frustrating but there is nothing i can do. Employers often like there 'exotic" foreign accent and pass over a more qualified American Tennis coach.
18:30 Homeless love that area on Homestead. They live near McDonalds. One of them was living on a corner of the bank next to McDonalds. Now they are next to a church near the bank. Look in the woods west of there.
When you raise the cost of housing beyond affordable the homeless population explodes and if one is misserable enough the drugs take away the missery..Sadly its easier to deny the truth then face it..I had my new first home built in Cape Coral for 59,900 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage in the 80s try to buy a new house now for that anywhere..I left Lehigh Acres because it was starting to change for the worse and built the house in Cape Coral..Lehigh was great back in the day there wasnt nothing there when i moved out there..I remember mcdonalds coming and kmart coming to Lehigh its crazy to see how its changed last time i was back in the early 2000s
North Fort Myers Lee county sheriffs have been cleaning up the hopelessness. In the show factory has all their letters up. We have a flea market there during the week and Saturdays. They have a lot. This guy has no clue what he’s talking about.
San Carlos Park is getting better. No druggies hanging out at circle k anymore and once "peg leg" moves our street will be better. 90% of homeless druggies gone. Yet behind burger King you can see encampments...
I haven't drove through this city in months and I'll continue to avoid it. The number of homeless here has skyrocket and it will continue going in that direction until common sense is finally voted in there. Let me tell you something you are exactly right about the shell factory this shell factory I took my five-year-old grandson and we went into the zoo part where the animals are that’s sad as hell the camels in there in a dirt 10 x 10 eating out of a PVC pipe one little crumb at a time from dirt. It was 4/4 for like five big chunks of dog food. It was so sad if they would put their money back into the place that they make but it’s too late now they need to. Bulldoze it now then they never put the money back into it. That’s what happened. It’s disgusting.
The zoo at the Shell factory is disgusting. I give you that. We go there on Friday nights to eat and stuff and there’s no problems. This guy isn’t from Lee County. Our deputies of Lee County are the best. I don’t think this guy lives around here. He better go to Golden Gate Estates, where there’s a lot of problem.
