Blizzard should make a pet battle mobile game where you can access the pets you've already got. Also make it look like pokemon but obviously in azeroth and online.
fear not, we have diablo immortal! (with fun microtransactions too boot) it would be so pleasant, if this enriches our all enjoyment of WoW, is it not?
pet battles are a neat side-game if you're getting bored of the main game, and it's entirely optional. i don't understand why people hate on them so much. it's not like you have to do it
It's a shame I really liked the idea behind plant. But yeah I figured out it wasn't worth it all on my own. I mean, anyone can tell that using 2 turns to basically do nothing is bad. I wish it would have just healed you every turn forever but made you unswappable, and you had to unroot yourself to swap out. THAT would have made it at least passable I think, but probably still not good.
Perhaps a top 10 revolving around either ridiculous PB synergies, most common PB strategies, or worst pets (wether it be underwhelming, weak, or flat out terrible)
Well we pay 16$ a month to have some content, wich BFA doesn't give us. Gotta do something else in wow. Even b4 BFA i enjoyed battle pets, if u get to know how conplex it actualy is, u can have a lot of fun.
Your pet battle videos always make me want to get into pet battling and then I realize all the good ones are rare or otherwise hard to get and I get overwhelmed quickly and go back to only ever pet battling twice a day during Darkmoon Faire for the tickets. Fun videos to watch though
Great video man, it was your pet battle videos that initially made me subscribe to the channel a couple of years ago! Recently got my "trainer" title - the grind was real! :)
I actually used Soothe with the Black Lamb, Sooth then Feed, an ability that does nothing on that turn, but the next one does a strong attack, and the 3° turn I use Stampede, meaning double damage, and in most scenarios that means that whatever pet is active will recive a huge hit at double damage, since if they swap at turn 2 or 3, they still get hit by the stampede before the strong hit
I love how Soothe and Plant are just like their Pokemon Counterparts Yawn and Ingrain, which are equally useless. (Ingrain is arguably the worst ability in Pokemon too!) They are even outclassed the very same way by their strong counterparts, Spore and Aqua Ring.
I'd love to just see a weekly series of top ten pets in each type. Top ten humanoid pets, top ten beasts, etc. For either PvE or PvP, just whatever is most useful and why, and maybe potential combos.
Toxic Skin has been hitting my Mech Deathsquad pretty hard, With clockwork gnome turrets and 2/3 attack semi-hard moves. I have to say tho, all in all a good video :)
Some of these abilities would be useful if pet battle pets had passive abilities like pokemon do. I.E. Void Portal would be good if a pet had an ability that increased its damage each it took damage or swapped out and couldn't be killed by it if it critter. Or if it healed itself each time an active pet, that wasnt itself, took damage.
One other ability is not really good, it's called stampede, it deals like 100 dmg first turn and add a 100% dmg debuff on enemy pet, BUT continue for 2 other turns. In 3 round, your pet have the time to be killed since you can't cancel it or swap pet. And there's a better version of this ability, it's falcosaur swarm, first turn has the same effect as the other, but it continues for only one more turn. Plus these pets has an ability that deals around 400 dmg, if u had the 100% dmg buff, u get an easy 800 dmg. The zandalari pets have similar effects but they don't have any defences, not like the falcosaurs. I highly recommend those btw, the green and orange one is the best, the white one is not bad too. The 2 other falcosaurs don't have any defence ability to protect them while they cast falcosaur swarm for 2 turns.
Since i just started on pet battling , i would like to know what i've missed (for more experience and perhaps understand better what more experienced players think) So i would like to see a Top 10 nerfed moves that are still good (or at least still see some for of play)
There's a boss in Gnomergan's pet dungeon where the best strategy is to die by Apocalypse. I forget which one, a giant rat, I believe. It's the only time I've ever used the ability in earnest.
You're looking at these abilities by themselves in most of these cases which is 100% stupid as well. It's like saying in Hearthstone that a certain damage spell a priest has cost the same mana and does more damage than one a warrior does. The problem with pets and Hearthstone classes is that the abilities and cards are designed with the weaknesses and strengths of what uses them. If breeding abilities into pets was a thing, you'd be ok in this, but it isn't. For example, cute as a button is on 3 pets, one of which is a rabbit and no other rabbit has cute face so you can't compare them.
I've never done pet battles but this video was really easy to understand and makes me want to try them. Also I didn't know the Elekk Plushie was a thing until this videoo and it's so cute I went and bought one off the AH instantly.
you know,if there is one thing i miss from playing wow is pet battling,i had such a huge team available and a lot of rare pets,it was cool playing with them.
The video is interesting, but doesn't have too much objective value. Comparing two abilities with each other doesn't make too much sense, as the value of an ability depends a lot on the other abilities the pet has, and on the stats and family ability of the pet. So one ability might be entirely useless on one pet, but the same ability might be great on another.
I could see plant being good on a very high hp pet with one long lasting dot and one of the other heal over time skills. :3 would kind of be cool to see
I really liked pet battles for mists and WoD, but then they added all those "beat all the trainers with pets from one family" garbage, and I just stopped caring. I had nearly all the achievements done, too. Then they nerfed howlbombing and left in the miserable team-damage strats, and other annoying plays... I loved getting free wins against HB strats with anubisath, or slowly eroding people with blossoming and other heavy heal pets
Only way I can think Plant could be good would be something like a humanoid pet with stuff like Shell Armor and Sleeping Gas/Frog Kiss to stall for VERY VERY long amounts of time, then again the same setup with Healing Wave or a normal HoT would be better, if anything Plant would be there to balance it out by preventing HoT+swap combos to heal up in the backline with such a strong stall kit.
The claim about apocalypse in terms of turns is 100% misleading and wrong. You're acting like for those 15 turns that you cannot do anything. It's essentially a dot that does 100% damage after 15 turns, not 15 turns of attacking. So that throws that argument out the window.

Your argument sometimes is "Yeah there is X ability that's better than Y" - but since ever pet just has a specific moveset and can't learn new attacks obviously not every pet has access to those. It's like saying "yeah, smite is a shit ability because Frostbolt has the same casttime and also slows the enemy!" Pets have different power levels, different health pools and even different breeds. Just because an ability does 50% of something doesn't mean it's weaker because it could have 200 atk more. Also some of these abilities are shared by NPC pets that you can't use and are insane in their moveset.
best / hardest PVE pet battles Most OP PVE Pet Moves Maybe cos i have more pets now (750+) but i feel the pve pet battles are very easy in BFA, MoP has Cel, Tourn and Elemental spirits. WoD had Tunaan Jungle, Legion had some decent matches and some harder ones on argus, heres hoping the harder ones are later on in exp.
You’re talking about these abilities like they’re pokemon moves that you can just swap, teach and breed around, even though everyone knows you don’t have that degree of freedom in wow What a waste of time
With Plant, does it also prevent your opponent forcing you to switch out aswell? Sort of like the equivalent of Ingrain from pokemon. Yeah the abilities heal is trash but could the niche be in phasing prevention?
Most pets who use swap moves are fast, and pretty much all pets who can use plant are slow, so its not a very good anti-swap move. But also I dont even know if it would prevent a swap anyway because I've never seen anyone use it in pvp because its so bad. And also no it does not stop your opponent from swaping, that would make the ability kind of useful
I always forget how annoying your older videos are to listen to due to the loud background music, all you videos has that issue but your older ones are just horrendous.
