I'd add the entire campaign to dehumanise Michael Jackson with the whole 'wacko jacko' bullshit starting in 1985 around time when he bought the ATV catalogue which included the Beatles music and the racists in the british media, particularly The Sun, couldn't stand a black american owning their white british heroes music so did all they could to mock Jackson and exaggerate his 'eccentricities' (which honestly were the harmless actions of a guy who never had a normal life. What's wrong with owning a chimp as a pet? Who cares? And the hyperbaric chamber was for treating burns such as those he got from the Pepsi commercial accident, it had nothing to do with 'living forever'. And his 'turning white' was due to vitiligo and discoid lupus but again the tabloids instead made up lies about that too). Can't believe I used to almost believe some of the crap the tabloids put out about him as I wasn't a Jackson fan and didn't really know too much so stupidly in my youth just went with whatever the tabloids said. Since watching Leaving Neverland as an abuse survivor myself, noticing things didn't add up in it and researching the facts and reading all court documents, the FBI file on Jackson and the histories of Robson and Safechuck which prove the doc is a complete scam made to help them with yet more lawsuit attempts at Jackson's money (and their recent lawsuits again failed, heck even their own lawyer couldn't make sense of their multiple contradictory timelines or how it was possible for Jackson to molest a kid while he was on the other side of the world from the kid. In fact the racist DA Tom Sneddon in the 2005 trial, and had failed to convict Jackson in the 1993 case, even CHANGED THE DATES OF ALLEGED ABUSE when he illegally found out Jackson had an alibi for the dates originally claimed). Yeah, I delved in hard with that topic, partially because I'm a survivor myself and I'm also autistic so I research heck out of topics. I read the 2005 trial transcripts, I researched the 1993 allegations which started as an extortion scam by dentist Evan Chandler. All the facts are there in the legal documents, but the tabloids love to just make up crap. And also 'Jacko' was the name of a popular monkey doll in UK for decades but like golliwogs had been phased out due to the racist connotations. Yes it was short for Jackson but the short form of Pakistani is still a slur and other black men have been called Jacko too even when not their name. And the british media KNEW the issues of the name but used it anyway and Jackson knew the meaning and even said in interviews he's not 'jacko' and he's not an animal. Jackson wrote 'Leave Me Alone' in the late 80s about the absurd newspaper headlines trying to turn him into a cartoon character. Then the false allegations in 1993 was heavily misreported by the media, with the court transcripts contradicting much of what the phoney tabloid articles were stating. Happened again in 2005 trial when the media was absolutely intent on Jackson being guilty, even posting front page pieces calling him a monster and showing pics of the jail cell they wanted him to be in. Once he was proven not guilty, they had no real interest in explaining WHY he was found not guilty. They didn't care that it was because the accusers exposed their own lies in court (Janet Arvizo was even charged with perjury and fraud). Jackson being innocent didn't appeal to tabloids at all because that's not scandalous and scandals sell. Another lie came in 2006 when they reported his first public appearance post-trial, at the American Music Awards was a disaster, that he was booed off stage. Except video of the actual event shows the opposite, that he was welcomed back and the entire audience singing along with him. The Daily Mirror notably posted a first edition front page which told the truth, that "he wows music awards" before changing the front page of that very same day's paper (November 16th 2006) in the later edition to "He's bad. Comeback diasters as Jacko booed off". Blatantly contradicting their own first edition and the video footage. When the debunked 'documentary' Leaving Neverland aired they were all quick to jump on the bandwagon to defame him again even though anyone with any sense already knew about the scammers Robson and Safechuck since they started that crap back in 2013 and had been caught out in multiple contradictions and repeatedly failed lawsuits and had changed details of their 'abuse' each time it failed to get them millions of dollars they had been trying to scam from the Jackson estate and the director of LN had lied repeatedly about how much research he even did (3 weeks suddenly became 6 months then somehow became "i've followed it since the 1993 allegations"). The stress and added toll on his already poor health from longterm conditions and back/scalp injuries all resulted in the events that caused his death at age 50. They did similar things to Britney Spears but fortunately not quite as bad (well, she wasn't a black man trying to be more successful than white men) and at least she's still alive and thankfully there's now actual progress being made in the conservatorship situation (and in fact it turns out there's a lot of the same lawyers and businessmen involved in trapping her that were involved in taking down Jackson). But it's disgusting seeing many of the people jumping on the freebritney bandwagon who were the ones who put here there in the first place. People like Perez Hilton desperately trying to stay relevant. He's not sorry at all, he just wants to keep in the news himself. Tabloids are trash. If we could just have news that solely reported truth and facts then holy crap this world would already be a lot better off.

Piers Morgan had the fake prisoner abuse photos for two weeks before he ran the story and given his brother was a serving officer in the British Army he could have had them easily easily. If fact within hours of them appearing members of the serving and ex forces web site ARRSE not only identified all the flaws but one member correctly guessed where they had been taken, Preston is a long way from Iraq.

Your list completely forgets the disgusting insults made by the tabloid press about the county of Essex and its people. The main culprits were The Sun, Daily Mirror, Star, News of the World, People and the insults were copied by the mid market Daily Mail, Express and so called quality papers, The Times, S.T., Telegraph, Guardian, etc. The shocking insults of the fine and mainly rural Essex people was entirely invented and made ever more disgusting from 1989 and it continues to this day. Essex is the second largest UK agricultural county after Lincs, and in spite of its enormous agricultural industry, most Essex farmers have to mark their packaging as"East Anglia" or omit tge origin because of the prejudice if they marked them as "Essex". If the tabloids and the radio and TV channels made the same comments about the Welsh, Scots, Irish, Africans or Asians, they would all rightly be prosecuted for racial abuse. I had a career in the aviation industry and I know of many companies who would have and should have set up in Essex, but they cancelled the investment and jobs because of the foul abuse.

I had no doubt that Hillsborough would be first, absolutely disgusting headlines during a period of massive grief! That newspaper is unsurprisingly on this list a lot, how it is still in circulation I'll never know! Unfortunately it isn't completely banned from sale here in Liverpool, you still see it in a few shops, but many newsagents refuse to sell it and the boycott has never decreased all these years later, it's very rare you will see anyone read it here.

The papers were right to call out someone who was going to court for "allegedly" beating up her partner and whacking him round the head with a lamp. It's disgusting that because she chose to end herself now she's worshipped like a goddess and the poster girl for be kind. Domestic violence is not acceptable if you wanna hit someone then take up boxing. The papers have done many wrong thing lol the way they treated Dianna, Britney and Amy Winehouse but reporting on a TV presenter being a violent abuser is not one. Didn't she also date a well known pop star when he was 17 and she was in her 30s.
