I had a c-section in the OR. Baby went nursery & was fine. I was pushed to recover in an out-patient room of the hospital that wasn’t being used for patients any longer. I was there for more then 8 hrs with no help, no pain meds, just darkness. The buzzer fell to the floor as soon as I was wheeled in the room. My husband went home to take care of our 2 year old. He called hours later & asked the nurses how the baby & I were doing. Nobody knew who I was or where I was! After searching the whole hospital they did not find me. The doctor was called & asked, where is your patient? He was in the hospital & ran to the room I was in with several nurses coming in behind him. When the lights were flipped on I heard a gasp from the nurses. The doctor gave me a shot of pain medicine right away. The medicine pretty much knocked me out. I woke up almost 2 days later in a room next to the nurses desk. I finally got to hold my baby 3 days after having her in the OR. I went home that day & a visiting nurse came every day for a week to see how I was doing. I was terrified to say the least!!!!!!

The thalidomide children was another bad one.

I was put on a medication that was 4x the dosage I needed. When I switched doctors and explained how I felt and what I was on, she was surprised I hadn't been hospitalized for the extreme dosage

I doctor in New Jersey, have me a prescription, without checking what I was already on. I do serious research on every prescription they want me to take. The one that doctor gave me, would have killed me. It would have had a fatal interaction with my heart medication. I told them that, and refused it.

I remember this one case that I read on Yahoo News several years ago. That the guy had the wrong dental surgery done and they removed all his teeth, he was it supposed to have 4 removed. I corrected the previous amount that said 0.

Walmart gave my mom medicine for diabetes, and she is not a diabetic. She ended up in the hospital and almost died. No attorney would take the case in Ark. Walmart owns that state.

With the stuttering kids study, these were orphans they we're not going to receive any kind of therapy whatsoever. I don't think they should have involved in negative reinforcements but I think they should have done the positive part of the study definitely. They just should have compared that with instead of negative therapy no therapy.

I have 17 different medications in my closet my doc keeps prescribing me for sleep. She keeps trying to blame my lack of sleep on an old misdiagnosis of bipolar disorder. I keep telling her I have kids one of them is just now about to turn 1 most mothers don't get much sleep at this stage. Well she keeps prescribing I keep discarding because she won't listen and will call me untill I fill them. Oh I have to add these medications are the most odd medications to be given to help someone sleep like seizure medications ect. She's a wacko I keep the bottles so I know what her crazy self has tried to give me.

18 years ago our doctor told us that our 4 year old son had a virus....... he had luekeamia! He is 33 now and doing well.

Most of this story has been told to me because I don't remember it. I was hospitalized for a knee replacement. Apparently after the surgery I was in a lot of pain and the morphine wasn't cutting it. The doctor prescribed IV Ativan. I don't know if he wrote it as 10 ml or 1.0 ml, but the nurse read it as 10 ml. Thankfully she was paying attention as she administered the meds into my IV. By the time she had pushed 1 ml in, I was out cold and she threw away the rest of the syringe. I was in the hospital for a week and I can't tell you what went on the whole week. But apparently I wasn't complaining about the pain anymore.

I had an emergency C. section. My son had jaundice, and I needed blood. The second day in recovery, a nurse bustled thru the door without introduction; walked to my bed where I was sitting, and punched me so hard in the stomach grinding her fist in my abdomen. I almost passed out. After catching my breath I screamed so loud, i thought I'd wake the dead. I asked her WTF she was doing. She told me to quit fussing, and she was 'massaging' my uterus. I said my staples hurt like hell. She stopped what she was doing and said what staples, andbi lifted my gown. Her face went white and she muttered 'c section?'. She very abruptly left my room. I asked for pain med from the next nurse and explained how painful that experience was; worse than the surgery itself. The nurse said quietly that her cohort was unaware I'd been sectioned...

Most cruel thing about the monsters experiment some of the children did stutter and they were yelled at and seeing other people get criticized well the children well the envy the children of the other group I can just feel the bad I just know it I learned this the monster experiment had stutters mixed into both groups did kids in the group that were praised for getting a census right no longer stutter even to this day they don't stare anymore well kids in the other group who are criticize who stuttered even stuttered even harder their stutter became worse.
