Since you did it on White's in the hood they acting like they don't see this but if it was blacks they would of been in the comments talking real bad. I respect that you did this to open up they eye's to see that it ain't a color thing it's a peoples thing but they are gonna be mad at you
@@kana-35 Not everyone does. I'm a white low/middle class male from Ohio (living in Alabama) and I have seen plenty of white trash areas. And not afraid to say it. Everybody has their problems regardless of color. But to ignore it and say it doesn't happen to "us" is just plain ignorance and then you are part of the problem.
The culture in Appalachia is like it is for tragic historical reasons going back to the civil war and earlier and all the way back to the UK. The region has a long history of explotation by outsiders and outright violence against those who tried to make things better. The culture comes from learning to be dejected and give up to protect oneself and it became ingrained over generations.
Also some of this is not the truth but simply Jose's prejudice. He is definitely right about his last point about not getting the media attention however. Most white poverty in the US is not rural. Also a lot of these sort of places DO have high rates of property and even violent crime but others don't. Most of these people if of working age also do work at least part time, with those who don't a large minority but even most of them do have a work history. These places are the exception in their regions and the negative here is partly true but also exaggerated. Negative descriptions of urban poor black communities while partly accurate tend to be greatly exaggerated as well. The mostly white and working class parts of the US have a lot more vibrant and well functioning blue collar comunities then places like this, although both are still common.
Disability attorneys are a dime a dozen in the hills and there are pill mills everywhere. Medicaid funded OxyContin and trading pills for sex is a thing here.
I just recently moved to Springfield for my job and I literally clicked on this video saying that I know it has to be on this. It is something out of the walking dead here.
@@applicationuser9764 yeah it still has very nice sections of town. I live in a brand new subdivision by Rutledge Farm so I’m far away from the bad areas. But still once you get closer to downtown it’s heartbreaking!
West Pembroke Pines Buddy here - Excellent explanation and reviews my friend. I feel like you speak a harsh truth. For those who might think you're picking on white people, I know you're not... it's just what you see that you say. I'm first generation american to colombian Born parents... They struggled and struggled to make a better life for themselves, and now they're children are the product of it. I love this country as much as I do my family. There is something about being born with resources that makes you take them for granted ... But it's easy for politicians to make those being left behind, feel like it's other people's fault , When really it's their own apathy or as you say, laziness or addiction.
Yeah, well I'm from West Virginia. And yes it is a shit hole but it's becoming harder and harder to find a decent job where I live and I live pretty much on the line of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia and now I have to drive 40 minutes for a job that I was making the same at driving 15 minutes but since, our shithead president has everything fucked. They had to lay people off since I was one of the newest ones I was one of the first to go.
1. 45 mins commute is normal 2. I don’t give a crap who is in the white house that’s irrelevant 3. You making weak excuses 4. I bet if lived in WV i would be making bank. Except yall wouldn’t let me for being brown
People that are living a good life really don’t care about these neighborhoods and it’s you people that bring them up all the time most people are hard-working people
I remember the early 60's riding in the car with my parents on our way to Alabama and back then there was no expressway and we had to drive through Louisville. One time in particular it was a nasty hot humid night and it seemed like everybody was sitting on their front porch wearing as little as legally possible because very few people had A/C back then and those people worked hard! Now Americans are spoiled and think they should get 25 bucks an hour just for showing up or they just sit on their ass and whine about being poor on social media on their NEW cell phone!
I live in Springfield. I know that there are a few trailer parks, the people are trying to find a life here. I stay inside because because I am retired.
I live in the worst neighborhood in Springfield mo. West central. It is a shit hole for sure but its cheap. Im glade you did this video though. It doesn't matter almost all of the US is turning into shit hole ghettos no matter where you go or race. This is what we face and should work together to fix things. I dont find attacking one side or the other to be beneficial to solving anything. We can all do better including you.
The problem is, there are so many people who say “its only them” that we have to use your town as an example to remind them were all the same. Sorry its gotta be you, but they do need to hear this.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I agree and I love your channel. I myself am moving again out of state. As bad as it is and believe me I've seen it all, I myself have never had a problem because I made it clear that my block will not be affected. I owned a business and I don't f around. All my neighbors are elderly and we almost all are mixed race or interracial couples. I made it clear on our block I am the law. You f around on my block the police are the least of your worries. And it's worked so far. That's the solution. Don't allow it at your house or on your block. It's all you can do
This is sad to see across the nation, but thank you for showcasing this video. Some people really think this only happens in inner-city environments around the projects because of crack at the hands of “minorities”… there are rundown trailer parks across the United States, filled with other types of drugs and people who aren’t black or brown. But it’s always glossed over.
Americans always loved drugs but, a lot of these cities and states are still recovering from the crack era. One of the worst times in American history, even more than the heroin epidemic.
The outsourceing of textiles in the south, manufacturing in the north and more mechanization and corporate farming throughout the Midwest, NADTA and GAFT were very bad policies, it outsourced millions of jobs, kept wages low etc,...
I grew up less than a mile from Detroit border , i am from a family who made sure all of the children knew people are not to be judged by anything other than behavior , so I had no hate towards anyone that was of different nationality and tried to be friendly to all , i had black guys treat me like i was a racist , and almost daily be severely disrespected , singled out , and have had violence, and threats of violence multiple times a day. Meanwhile i had a whole bunch of black friends that took the time to judge my character just to find out im good people. It honestly hurts and om aware how many people have been treated hard from white people too. Its all lame.
Agreed 💯 Same here and both can teach a lot of various, interesting, valuable and sadly disheartening lessons. When I experienced people treating me differently after learning I had what I have in my pursuit of property, that was difficult for me. I had a hard time with that and still do. They only see the money, stark contrast to when they assumed I was poor and nobody to bother with. I also experienced quite a prejudice when I didn't have a male business investor versus when I did. When he wasn't involved, even fellow professional women didn't return my calls nor give me a second of their precious time. Without a man involved, I was not worth their time. Extraordinarily hurtful and disgusting, interesting how little people ever change! Those are just a couple examples that affected me a lot, but I've definitely learned so much and unfortunately much of it is very sad lessons, hardening, they have made me more hopeless in people and unfortunately bitter, I'm a worse person now. I believe that's the devil's plan, bring us down. Demote us to dollar signs and nothing more.
I am a recovering alcoholic/addict, who is "white" and i agree with you. I relapsed once in last 23 years. I am living my life, enjoying life as much as I can. I live in a small town in Missouri and I know that if I stay on my depression meds and I do what I'm supposed to do I will be okay. Only one life, be an inspiration. I will continue to be one. GREAT VIDEO!!
When my mother said that we were poor at one time, when she left my father. We did not get hooked on any drugs nor did we fall into the path of theift. As a teen we were not even capable of smoking a cigerette without getting our asses kicked by our mother. I have to say, I give my mother a lot of credit for not raising three non lazy, drug addicted kids.
I'd view the premise of being poor and the impacts that are experienced as a result being a situation where people's individual experiences are entirely relative to their mindset/attitudes etc. A low income person/family are definitely capable of acknowledging the realities of their circumstances without relinquishing control of their personal values and morals or their desire and motivation to elevate themselves along with their standards of living and quality of life for instance. The problem rests with a person becoming complacent with and accepting of their circumstances. Nothing will ever change under those conditions when someone claims to be a victim of their circumstances and if they're given a choice they'd actually choose a different existence but yet they're unwilling to become involved with the process of positive change in their life.
I live in Fresno California. We have the highest per capita of homelessness in the United States. Since we have mostly a service community, and the rent extremely high, I can see why there is so many homeless people here. I'm 70, disabled and on SSA. I'd love to be able to leave.
@@diane1390 California's Central Valley, except perhaps for Sacramento-Davis, has California taxes and opportunities characteristic of Alabama or New Mexico.
@@paulbrower than we're not saying much. New Mexico is practically empty. Alabama is a state I've never been to, but I'd hope they had more reasonably priced housing than Fresno. We had a very rough time finding another apartment due to credit checks and high rent, after a private equity firm bought out the last apartment complex I lived in, and they kicked everyone out of there. I had lived there for over 13 years, and didn't pay late or not follow their rules. I'll be so glad to leave this area for good. I hate crowded towns, I grew up in the country.
@@brushcreek42 I wasn’t talking to you but to address your sarcasm, you don’t understand what woke is. It’s obvious you see woke in the way white liberals and white conservatives have twisted the term into, which is way off from what woke really is.
No it isn't; the vast majority, billions of us are doing OK or better, and many are doing great. If you're not, then reassess your life and get busy fixing it. Ask for help if/when you need it!
The poor people in many areas are very similar despite their color. They tend to blame others for the way their lives turned out and take no responsibility for their situation.
Some blame is legit. Personally I didnt even have underwear. And homeless. As a teen no jobs for us. I left racist texas to calif. That was 50 yrs ago. Well off and retired now.
" If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man he won't even notice you're picking his pockets. I had no choice of growing up on Southside of Chicago. Was homeless at 15 n was a MVP in basketball for 3yrs. Gave it all up n went as far as I could till I hit Coos Bay.
I grew up south side of Chicago. Beverly, South shore Chatham. Even Roseland has great areas. Hyde Park? These are black areas. Where are you talking about. South side is huge.
Yep you need to do more on these poor white communities cuz it seems like the media loves to talk about poor black communities but they're not out there talking about these poor white communities that go and vote for people who don't care about them but yet they want to vote against their best interests just so nobody of A different race can get the same benefits as they can
Overdose deaths are the victims of their own foolish choices. I would not label a community "dangerous" because of a large number of OD deaths. But I am aware that an out of control, open, drug culture can bring crime with it.
When he was talking about the immigrants are taking the jobs he is talking about the Mexican immigrants who are also bringing the drugs across the border.

In fairness, the criminal record comes after you finally realize you have some self-erected stumbling blocks like not finishing school, not being able to get a job because you didn't finish school,doing/selling drugs, having kids out of wedlock, and more. So it's not quite that easy. You forgot laziness though.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I'm a nurse who ended up with a "record" because I was summoned to court for something and never notified. I think you better reevaluate yourself!!! Plenty of very good people end up with unjustly disservice having done nothing wrong or minor infractions in many cases. The majority are not sex offenders or violent murderers. We are actually the highest contributers in every sense. An a crime in the past at ones worst, should never destroy an entire life. That person can still bring a lot to society and being prevented from working legitimately will only lead to worse for society, repeated crime/career criminal. That benefits no one!!! Your past should be your past. Not your forever identity. Your view is actually a lot more harmful and a detriment to society than promoting work!!! You seem to praise immigrant communities as you say in your video, yet you don't believe someone with a record should ever work!? What should they do then, sit around? Off my taxes? Off yours? Go sell drugs? An for your information, immigrant families definitely do their share of crooked antics, they came to a country that was already lined up & ripe for the taking! I was able to have my situation fixed, no problem as far as my "record" goes, but I think you got a hell of nerve and are awfully ignorant. Next you're going to say someone with fraudulent charges to their credit card is their own fault for having that credit card. Simple is as simple does!
I am an educated professional nurse. I ended up with a "record" merely for not receiving a letter or notice to appear in court. Had I received it, I certainly would have been there. I managed to get it corrected but it certainly taught me quite a brutal lesson in the prejudice and hatred towards those with one, and the deplorable ignorance this man displays in his reply to your valid comment. Preventing people from working benefits no one. Most records are not infractions that should define your entire life existence. Yet he praises immigrants and claims they are such hard workers, when they are just as crooked often as the ones with records or even more so!!!
If there’s a STARBUCKS there ( Springfield ) it COULDN’T be THAT financially deprived… Starbucks doesn’t hang around where there’s little money to be made .
Sorry bro for being all over this thread but I want to see you come back to these places and offer them a job. Washing your car. Talk to them. Ask them questions. This assuming how they are thing seems implausible unless you do a deep dive investigation of these areas. Ask the city council and the mayor questions. Who owns these properties? Where are they? Poor people don’t own them. Make follow-up videos! Thanks!
It's sad that you don't recognize drug addiction as a sickness. At a point, one becomes helpless to their need for whatever substance it is. Have some empathy.
What I have observed both in person and from watching many videos is that when a community *_has lost all hope in the present and future,_* (and that can be a generational sentiment), the communities start to look like those shown in this video. What is very interesting, is that during work travels to India, Mexico and Morocco, I have had the opportunity to visit some of the poorest areas imaginable. Despite being *extremely poor,* the people living there kept everything *tidy and clean.* It is a stark and obvious difference when comparing (most of) the poor of the USA with
@topsecretproductionsllc Without immigration you wouldn't have the USA 🇺🇸 as you know it. even the so-called native Americans must come from somewhere else in a distant past. immigration has been going on throughout human history worldwide. according to your comment, you think people immigrate to the USA 🇺🇸 only. well, that's wrong. USA 🇺🇸 people immigrate to everywhere in the world as well. every country in the world receives immigrants, also. as well as their people immigrate to other country's as eell too. the only thing that I say. is. people need to be better educated. work for living has nothing to do with immigrating. two very different issues.
@JosePerez-fe2gv Native Americans migrated from Asia originally. Genetically, they are a collection of different Asian, Eurasian and ancient nomadic Indigenous Afro-Australian Papau peoples admixed into the majority Mongoloid phenotypical origin! They cross the Bering but also came by sea as well and are the same people of origin as the Inuit/Anuit Alaskan Eskimo, Hawaiians and all other Pacific Islanders who are all Asian Mongoloid phenotypical at their core origin. Most of today's Latinos in the Americas are from that same origin but have been admixed by Euro Spaniard colonialism and now centuries of immigrants coming together.
@louislamonte you are right about being safer in a white hood it’s because you live in one of these white hoods living on government assistance. Embarrassing isn’t it?
In my Family country Bulgaria if you live in the small town and you have a toilet your considered rich. Most of the places have hole in ground aka out house . (Shit in the hole) 3rd world .. LMK when you find a out house in North America thats a sight to see. .Toilets are only in the big cities. Even the movie theater in the small villages even though its small theater the bathroom is off to the side of the make shift food and drink area and its a hole in the ground . lol .. that was in the 80's and 90's now I am sure things have finally changed , seems literally the 3rd world is living more like 1st world and 1st world is tuning 3rd world . That may have something to do with the fact we have been printing a lot of dollars and sending them around the world for other nations to use . Its not our fault the 3rd world is corrupt but we let them use our money cause its the only money "THEY" can trust amongst themselves... Make no mistake although the 3rd world is now living 1st world and has a modern life style they are still the most corrupts and least humble .. Ukraine is corrupt but Russia is worse . Yes Russia is also still in the 3rd world not cause of there life style but because of there Deeeeeeeep level of corruption .
I had a white racist type on a public Facebook group (who called himself trying to spout off negativities about Black folks) who desperately wanted to act as if I was lying when I had told him that I’ve been to trashy white neighborhoods. He swore it was just our neighborhoods that had any dilapidation, trash, and a lack of upkeep. Some of them have really deluded themselves into believing they’re more responsible and moral than the rest of us.
No one white said that. And you should be smart enough to know that even rich black peoples don’t care about poor black people. In summary, the rich don’t care about the poor
I live in the Portland hood in Louisville and it's barely a white hood especially if you live on the edges near the almost all black hoods that surround it. Most murders here aren't white people. Some are, but it's disproportionately blacks killing other blacks that have exploded the murder rate in Portland. My whole mom's side live here and my cousin just graduated with a 3.9 from U of L debt-free bc of scholarship and spend last summer in Spain on a scholarship and my other cousin is a nurse and my other cousin is a social worker and my other cousin who was a teacher decided to stay home with her kids but her husband has a degree and makes great money that allows her to care for kids and all my cousins do well but have decided to stay here. I was a CPS investigator but got sick and retired and my husband is a mechanical genius. Of course there are lazy people but it's not everyone here whining and complaining. We complain about crime. When the leftists tried to Kenosha us in 2020 black men grabbed guns and ran them out bc nobody wants suburban leftists that say "it's just property" when it's never their property" in their hoods destroying what little we have. Those black men were the true MVPS of this hood in 2020. Of course it had to be them bc if white people pointed guns at leftist protesters we would get arrested and smeared as white supremacists. Portland is an urban hood and it's not some racist hood. We get along really good with our black neighbors, it's rare to have issues of racial fighting here. I only have seen 1 Confederate Flag and its at the Grim Reapers Clubhouse and those people don't even live here they just have that big clubhouse here. They keep to themselves so that's good.
I hope you all know that the content that this guy posts is just a matter of perception doesn’t make it true / false . It’s just his perception. He never mentions any demographical surveys based on FACTS. He said himself he’s uneducated, ignorance begets ignorance . Simple.
Iam so glad you’re saying it out loud because they are lazy and drug addicted. But they are called hard working Americans struggling because of the decline in coal usage. Then move go to school and get a skill . Get a student loan like everyone else had to do. I love you changing the narrative
Isen BURG; of course written by a Communist Jew; they've been stirring up racial problems and strife for years. Jews were the ones that ran the slave trade but we never here of that in the mainstream news and we never will.
I don't understand why people choose to be addicted to drugs and all they do is try and maintain that high. They will steal, beg, do almost anything just to have just enough money to buy drugs with. Drugs are overtaking our communities and it's not going away. People need to be more disciplined and try and take on life's challenges. You have to TRY!
On drugs now due to medical issues. I hate it. Not sure how someone can enjoy this. It makes you feel like every thing is right when your life is crumbling very dangerous mindset when your not in good shape. Horrible crap. Side effects are bad too.

Yep I know what you mean I live in a small rural community here in Michigan the houses in the families that I knew there they have passed away their kids have gotten grown and married and went to other states to raise their families now I look at the houses that were owned by black families white people are living there I get so sad and disgusted because those properties were kept up nice now there's junk all over the place junk in the yard it's just nasty looking but yet are Township and Village in County won't do anything about them in a couple of houses are right there in town on the main thoroughfare are people downstairs and out-of-state come through our town and stop and visit and vacation here and probably see other family members and everything and they get to see that mess on the side of the highway when they're coming through our town
I'm in Louisville,Ky born & raised & Portland wasn't always this bad but now since they demolished all of the projects down in the city they got people from every project spreaded out in Portland now & what's why it's 20xs worse 2 live there now...🤦🏾♂️
When they started knocking down the projects like Iroquois, clarksdale, park duvalle, and so on.. it destroyed Louisville. Those projects contained all the crime in one place now its spread out evenly across the entire city. It was a horrible idea and the projects were close communities that were like family now those communities are destroyed as well. It was a horrible decision and even till this day Louisville is suffering greatly because of the idea.
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yep u hit the nail 🔨 on the head you're exactly right but I knew when they tore those projects down it would be total anarchy & it proved 2 be right ParkHill is the last project that's still standing in the city & it has become cemetery.🤦🏾♂️
The culture in some places is f'd up in many ways. People dont become lazy drug addicts in mass though unless they were already pretty f'd up from trauma and abuse they indured. If you actually knew the history of Apalachia you would know why the culture is like it is. A long and tragic history of abuse and often violent explotation, much of it by outside forces, has led to this state. Some of the problems go back to the divide durring the civil war which often split families right down to the household level, not just neighbors but even spouses and siblings killing each other based on aposing war aliegences! People aren't just born so messed up, they learn it. Disinvestments and negative stereotypes and ongoing bad leadership certainly don't help. Some (a lot actually) do better including within Apalachia however, despite such hardships so I'm not excusing it, but you can't only blame the people there either.
Great video, im amazed after your video and evidence folks still want to say this is a black/brown problem. Poverty and lower living conditions, drugs and despair DO NOT DISCRIMINATE but some people will stick to the same narrative, thanks for the upload.
