Naomi has used 4 different finishing moves, and I'm guessing she keeps going back to the Rearview because Vince prefers it. During her heel run she used a headscissor ddt (the along side the rear view), right before that when the funcadactyls broke up she used a submission finisher (she also used it to win her 2st sd women's Championship) and the split leg moonsault. Not to mention when she was in FCW (As Naomi Night) she used an Enzuigiri that was dubbed "the Nightmare".
She probably uses the rearview because Its easier but I agree she should do submission or she should do a kinda of stratusfaction all the way to the corner then do the split leg moonsault
Becky Lynch not dropping to the ground, absolutely KILLED "The Women's Right". I don't really think that was the idea that WWE creative was going for; but, it happened. 🤣🤣🤣
I don't believe that anyone gonna find the woman right finisher brutal. It's lame as hell. Like of course she ain't gonna sell it,how you gonna sell a punch to a face? Except bigshow.
If Omos picked them up in a 2 handed choke, then was able to fling them up further into a modified Last Ride, THAT would be killer. But once he's got his opponent up, that'd be all on his own strength. He might be able to pick them up, then drop them all the way back down so they can spring back up and he can get the height at their waist, and if it's smooth enough it could still look powerful.
I mean he had a whole championship run with it and was using it before he won the championship in house shows sooo how much practice with it does he need
Naomi uses a Split-Legged Moonsault as well, in fact that’s how she won her first Smackdown Womens championship. Naomi also has a submission that she used to win her second
I think the only one i disagree with is the Khallis. While it isnt the smoothest finisher, its got enough polish on it and does most of the time have a good sounding impact and looks like it could be a move that ends your opponent.
@@danntheskywalker8667 i dont think the WWE helped him by Slingshotting him into the main event picture. Hes alright at everything and if had a natural progression up I can see him being actually well liked (although as a pure midcard talent).
A couple of points I wanted to bring to your attention. 1) Ricky Steamboat used the Top Rope Flying Crossbody as a finisher and 2) Prior to his 1979 feud with Buddy Rogers Flair used a Top Rope Diving Knee Drop as a finisher and used it as a secondary finisher after his feud with Rogers.
the top rope crossbody used to be awesome on the 80s when wrestlers barely used the top rope, nowaday a lot of wrestlers use it a normal move, also nikki is too small to make an actual impact for it to be believable
Can never go wrong with a powerbomb, just need to add the extra bit of effort to the drop like how Kane dropped down to do or Kevin tosses them up in the air and powerbombs them all at once to keep up the momentum
@@just_a_tepig3611 I don't know if Omos as tall as he is threw someone up too high to do the Powerbomb the impact could break a few necks or snap someone's spine.
I feel like a lot of wrestling fans tend to forget that the "E" in WWE stands for entertainment ? Naomi's finisher suits her perfectly because she's 1.) athletic and can jump very high on the spot and 2.) got a big freaking butt. Yes, it's silly but wasn't Santino's cobra as well ? Or Scotty 2 Hotty's "Worm" ? Because everybody still cheered immensely for it, even when used in more serious situations such as title matches or PPV events (especially in the oh so beloved Attitude Era that everybody wants to have back). And on top of that - Naomi's moveset is one of, if not the most innovative in the WWE roster. Split-Legged-Moonsault, Headscissors Driver, FTG-Submission, etc. She has sooo many other moves to rely on if the Rear View is not enough for the win.
THANK YOU. And he literally said “ there’s no sign that’s she gonna use a new finishing move” like he clearly isn’t paying attention then lmao. She’s one of the women with the most variety of finishers and she uses the split legged moon Sault more often then the rear view anyway
@@Daniel-nn8mr or hear me out they could listen to to their audience and stop making terrible decisions like bringing back Goldberg for title shot after title shot
So hear me out on this: But what about the Torture Rack for Omas? He's big enough that he could use it on most of the roster. It would get over his "if I get my hands on you, you're done" aura. And, I think the big monster guy having a submission finisher is just a cool change of pace, especially with so many other people on the roster doing slam and powerbomb variants. He wouldn't even have to bounce as much as Luger used to...just use more of a wrenching motion while the opponent sells and screams. Would work with his slow pace, and when the opponent submits he could just drop them off his shoulders Ultimate Warrior style.
Good point. Braun Strowman had the Triangle Choke during his run with The Wyatt Family and finished a couple of top stars with it; not to mention his Reverse Chokeslam where he grabs his opponents back of the neck and them (reverse) chokeslam them onto the ground. Way better than his basic Powerslam, if you ask me. Maybe this could work with Omos.
@@TheCotzi Yeah it's exactly the reason Nikki Bella stopped using the original Rack Attack, which is called Argentine Carry Backbreaker but because it damaged her spine she even had to do surgery to repair it. Then she started using Rack Attack 2.0 essentially a fireman's carry cutter.
"Rear View" is a move like the "Playmaker", where the move would be as a way to make the opponent drop on their back for a follow up, but not as a finisher. Like, Naomi could follow it up with any sort of leap of the ropes or the turn buckle immediately.
I remember back in the day a wrestler, I think it was Iceman King Parsons, and he used the rear view move and called it the butt butt. I do not think it was his finisher, however.
Its essentially a version of the Fujiwara where she sits on the opponent to keep them in place as she pulls on the arm; its way better than the man handle slam
5:47-6:21 Sonya Deville's too small and not strong enough to use the Hellevator it should be done by someone who's at least over 6-ft. tall or around 7 ft. like how they showed Matt Morgan in this video Michael Elgin and Hirooki Goto do it but they sit down or fall backwards when they hit it Sonya should do the sit-down/backward fall version
I'm fine with Becky having a weak looking finisher. I think it's fine for heels to have that. The problem is so many people taking it just fumble to the grown instead of getting slammed
Naomi's finishing move is really good since she's one of the most athletic people in WWE and since she used to be a cheerleader and dance I would say it fits her, but her split-legged moonsault is better in my opinion. I do miss it whenever she used her FTG submission to get wins.
Charlotte's finisher is just the set up Mr. Perfect used to set up the Perfectplex. I always smirk when she uses it, because I imagine Perfect doing that little skip before the run up to the flip.
When a wrestler has a bad finisher Me: No, just no, there is no way that this will finish the match. When a wrestler changes to a complete sh-t finisher: Me: WTF IS THIS? WHY DID YOU CHANGE TO THIS GARBAGE??? When that superstar is in a interview: It MaTcHeD mY cHaRaCtEr BeTtEr. Me: NO THE F--- IT DIDNT!
A few more that should be on the list: *Bailey to Belly:* literally a basic slam. *Bank Statement:* this one is mostly in the execution, as Sasha usually doesn't make it look very effective. You could literally just slide (backwards) out of it. *Twisted Bliss:* a fancy looking basic splash/cross body.
Bayley-To-Belly isn't a finish. The Bank Statement looks good when it's being sold by someone flexible that'll allow proper torque to be applied (best example, Charlotte). Twisted Bliss looks good and Alexa never screws it up, so it's excusable.
The rearview has always been a horrible finisher. It usually never actually connects. I also think the manhandle slam is atrocious. Everytime Lynch does it, it looks like she's bitching a rock bottom, same can be said about Sonya's Hellivator as you mentioned.
Omos can get that two handed chokeslam to look deadly. He has done it a couple times but the issue is he changes it up each time. Sometimes he basically spikes them into the mat and other times he drops them from high. If he could consistently do it with the spike then it can be shown to be appropriate for him. He can even do it in a way Luke Gallows or Albert went down with their opponent to further protect them but make it impactful
I think he should use a pop up version Ron Simmons' Spine Buster. It would keep its impact and overall look while also looking more aggressive. It would would have more of a wow factor.
Some of those maneuvers got even worse ever since the time they were first introduced. Moves like Fairytale Ending, Willow’s Bell, and Project Ciampa (Tommaso Ciampa), End of Heartache (Roderick Strong), Phenomenal Forearm and Styles Clash (AJ Styles), Kinshasa (Shinsuke Nakamura), Bitter End (Pete Dunne), BFT (LA Knight), Big Ending (Big E), Claymore (Drew McIntyre), Steiner Recliner (Bron Breakker), Popup PowerBomb (Kevin Owens), GTK (Dakota Kai), Chingona Bomb (Raquel Gonzalez), Gory Bomb (Kay Lee Ray), Torpedo Moscow (Ilja Dragunov), Devlin Side (Jordan Devlin), Recoil (Ricochet), Brogue Kick and White Noise (Sheamus), Neutralizer (Cesaro), Thing of Beauty (MSK), Euro Bomb (Imperium members Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel), Reckoning (Damian Priest), KOD (Bianca Belair), Six One Nine (Rey and Dominick Mysterio), Double Uce (The Usos), Trouble in Paradise (Kofi Kingston), Riptide (Rhea Ripley), Wicked Stepsister (Candice LeRae), Hoverboard Lock (Kushida), and stuff like that are better modern finishing maneuvers.
The neckbreaker isn’t bad but it is a case of other people using it as a signature at best. Most people have it as a transitional move and while his isn’t bad a neckbreaker should have a bit of flair to be a finisher.
@@TheOneWhoReportsForDuty most people don’t fall forward when they do it so that’s what makes it stand out. When they use it as a signature they always fall backwards with it like a cutter.
Your re quite literally wrong about Naomi 💀 she uses the rear view as more of a signature move now. “There’s no sign that she’s ever gonna use a new finisher move” . But then literally uses a clip of the split legged moonsault which she uses more often then the rear view. Also she has her submission. And the head scissors driver . She’s literally a superstar with one of the most variety of finishers lmao.
Yeah I was really happy when she only used the rearview has a signature move into the moonsault in that match vs Soyna. Her finshing move has always been the biggest reason I could never get behind her as a top star, but if she's going to keep using it like she did there I think she could get back up to the top of the Women's division again
Isn't the Deep Six a signature move though? Cause his finish is the End Of Days, which he even said he never wanted anybody to kick out of, more than he wanted a championship.
Omos's Two-Handed Chockeslam is a pretty decent finisher for his character and wrestling style. Yes it is basic, but it always looks effective and that's good enough for me.
Another issue with Nikki's flying crossbody is that she's too small for it to be a believable finisher. Some standard moves can be finishers, but only if they are performed by bigger/heavier wrestlers.
Naomi used Saturn's Rings to defeat Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania around 8 years ago (guessing, not exact). I think it was a fatal 4-way. That sounds hot. 😂😂😂
Charlotte use to hit the natural selection how it was originally intended back in Nxt(fully hooking under the chin). But at some point it seems she had to nerf it to make it more safe. Edit: Also if I were to add a finisher to this list it'd definitely be Austin Theory's finisher. That fireman's carry knee face buster just looks to awkward and weak to be a finisher imo.
If WWE wants Nikki ASH to have a high flying finisher so bad, then why not have her use the frog splash? It actually looks like a finisher compared to the crossbody. But I mean, who actually thinks WWE is gonna be smart and change her finisher to be something actually credible?
Natural selection looks better without kneeling, see done to Bianca in this video or Charlotte doing it from top rope. It's essentially a somersault cutter, so SHOULD have been outta nowhere move like RKO, but we really don't get many good setups for it.
I’m tired of people saying that the Review is weak move. It’s really annoying because that move is really not weak. It looks amazing and it shows the athleticism of Naomi.
Every superstar is one of the most talented superstars to ever grace a WWE ring and any match with any 2 well-known names that haven't wrestled yet is a dream match to this dude
Naomi’s “rear view” is an impressive standing hip attack that requires a lot of athleticism and strength. Recently she’s used it as a signature move for months in place of her split-legged moonsault
Looooooove NAOMI! But have always found that move a bit underwhelming at times, though a few have looked and been sold well! Timing and reaction were/are everything, and I’ve seen her hit numerous Rearviews “outta nowhere “ from a short reversal from about to be thrown half ring into running the ropes…. It looks more comedic when she calls her shot/does the whip of opponent into ropes herself from mid ring. Then it’s kinda meh 🥶
Even a hard hitting finisher could be lame and boring. They should put more color on their move. Some obviously not damaging move gets some respect because of execution like the rock's "people's elbow" because of his additional gimmick and execution to the move.
Nikki's finisher is the same finisher used by WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat. But in Steamboat's case, it was the 80s and 90s. In Big Show's case given his size, his knockout punch makes sense. But for Lacey Evans, I don't see what makes her Women's Right special unless her hands were made out of steel instead of bone.
Omos should maybe consider a move like The Spirit Bomb, seeing that Keith Lee is no longer there. And the Khalas looks deadly honestly; I just think it's being performed by the wrong person.
Naomi could have a vertical or raised submission called the "Glow Up" and it'd match the role she has, possibly like a modified surfboard or something.
The main problem with the Manhandle Slam is that it's inconsistent as to if its a pumphandle slam or standard uranage that both participants seem to be confused on what they are meant to do. A lot of the time it looks like she's going for the pumphandle but then forgets about it. Since the opponent is trying to jump with their arm between their legs, it can be awkward and mess up the move. Khallas I don't mind. I liked the Dream Street move just think he needs to fall flat for more drive. Personally I like Madcap's finisher but that's just me. I like Omos finisher but it's similar to a lot of big men finishers. Women's Right, yeah that move sucks. Seems more like they named the move first then came up with the move after. "Hey look, Women's rights, we can make a pun with that". Rear View, yeah there's no excusing that one either. I like the Split Legged Moonsault. Think it needs more love. I liked Humberto's Aztec Press but then it got switched to a standard Moonsault which Io and even Mansoor got pretty sure. Nigerian Nail, no one likes this move. Just switch it to a clothesline. Would be much better. Have it as a Burning Lariat. Nikki ASH. Didn't know that was her finisher. Thought it was the Swinging Neckbreaker that she changed various times. First it was a Fisherman Neckbreaker then the top rope one then a standard one. Last I heard of Nikki Ash she was the Women's tag champ which I was surprised to learn she lost it to Carmella and Zelina .
Ten Best Finishers in WWE Currently imo 10. Sasha Banks,Bank Statement 9. Kevin Owens, Stunner 8. Sheamus, Brogue Kick 7. Cesaro, Netrualiser 6. Baron Corbin, End Of Days 5. Drew McIntyre, Claymore 4. Bobby Lashley, Hurt Lock 3. Bianca Belair, KOD 2. Seth Rollins, Curb Stomp 1. Roman Reigns, Spear
"Jinder Mahal shocked the world in 2017 when he defeated randy Orton to win the wwe title at backlash in 2017." And two lines later says 2017 again, lmao redundancy 😂
Omos should use the iron claw. He's big enough and powerful enough to sell it. And it would hide his and or his opponent's inability to sell that chokeslam.
Omos looks like he could do a sick Boss man slam. Or a running power slam. It would make him move more and make him seem like he isn't just a big slow guy.
It's sad to see what's wwe begin to look like for the future... i miss the 2009-2015 period when i use to see wwe every week and the wrestlers were good...
The Natural Selection is such a great name for such a bad move. She often has difficulties with connecting it to look like a cutter and there's no good way to sell the move after it hits.
Rhea's a strong powerhouse wrestler but her finisher the Riptide doesn't seem legitimately executed big wrestler like Duodrop. Ridge Holland needs a new finisher rather than using old traditional body slam. Asuka lock used to be devastating when she was undefeated. She choked her opponent's neck with her right arm and it's not easy to break through from her finisher. But now she just touch the her opponent's chin rather than choking the neck.
Omos should hold up the other guy longer so it looks like he is choking him out before he drops him. Or if he can't do that, he should switch to a traditional chokeslam or a powerbomb instead. For Nikki Ash the simple solution would be to make her finisher being a big splash - that is almost the same move as a crossbody, but it allows her to go straight instead of turning which is closer to the visual of a superhero flying in the air.
