Champagne is undeniably talented. Sure, he's a bit quirky, but you can genuinely feel him singing from his soul, hitting those notes flawlessly. I'd love to see Simon take on a song like 'Amazing Grace' the way Champagne did.
The last guy flashed everything out of his pants and didn’t get arrested for exposing himself that’s the worst audition in the world of X factor imagine how devastating it was for children to see this distasteful
the fact that no bodyguard came to pull him off stage is just wow like how can you let that happen. they should have stopped him right away but they let him expose himself for a good 60 seconds which is just disgusting
Tbh I think he could sing but at the same time i can understand why he failed the audition. Lotta better singers on the show that they reject based on so many things like if the public would like them, if their voice doeesnt sound unique enough etc
I feel like he was nervous, so he had his friend come with him to make him more calm, but his friend couldn’t help worth a damn, so he really shot himself in the foot there. I’m just wondering now: surely he asked his friend what he was capable of?
The 'looks like he works in a poultry factory' was some of the most obnoxious, classist, low key racist and dehumanizing, dismissive shyt ive heard on on a prime time competition show from a judge.
@@savannahdebose757 Actually they set people up to fail by choosing the songs FOR the contestants, and then they make them wait 8 hours in the building before they can even perform, and during that time they are only provided with ice cold water (which damages their vocal chords). They try to make them fail in any way possible
Yea he was really good compared to most people on the show could use some work with it, but i dont know almost all the judges on that show are assholes about people who are decently good
You're kidding!! I believe they brought him back, I'm just stunned that he actually won! Was he just as awful the whole way through?? Wait, did you mean to say #9? Because THAT I actually agree with! Champagne could actually sing, once they told him no! But number 8 was the guy who sold his truck, and he was atrocious. I'll be STUNNED if you tell me you really meant number 8 and that wasn't a mistake.
What do you mean, "you bet he went so far until then"? That was literally his FIRST audition with the judges...he hadn't gone anywhere until then. Smh.
it wasn't for his singing, it was for his appereance, too much workman instead of fancy xfactor idol of the youth. And probably his skin color. These kind of tv programs only search for the "product" that sells best you know, and Champagne sadly wouldn't
@@dorael_ yea,i think the same way. they were just looking for a "product" but then again i think black guy with good voice and weird clothes would do great(well atleast in these times haha,i forgot the name of the guy,but he did that cowboy song with some cowboy,he's pretty famous forgot the name tho) edit : i was talking about lil nas x and by cowboy song i meant "old town road"
Jesus, watching back some of these, you realise that X factor, in particular some judge's comments, were so toxic. Criticising how someone looks as opposed to their singing talents, and almost making a mockery of them to try and get laughs out of people. Some of the things they said were just straight up horrible.
I agree. They ridiculed him for having a weird look? Or for copying the original artist? He had a nice voice and they should have given him a second chance
You can tell the judges REALLY wanted that first guy to do well. Good energy and vibes. He just completely went off the rails once he started singing though. 😬
@@frankwhite9170 appearance was shetty and he looked funny, probably not good for show? Yes sure. But I'd never agree he didn't have talent. He was even talking in notes, seems weird but he was on point, he was actually musical. With proper help he was great man.
15:18 why has no one else picked up on the fact the shriek of pain he makes after crashing to his knees is exactly the same as the "ooo-OOO-oooh" he was JUST singing🤣?!
The reason why he got canned because they need to have their own version of the songs they sing. A cover if you will. Champagne was literally trying to sound exactly like R Kelly, hence an impression.
I died when Dylan Lawson was like, “You ready?” And then he just starts spitting cuss words all of a sudden and started to like have a seizure on the floor
I'm a professional music critic. Worst part of the job is having to force people to face reality. But, never does purposefully and gleefully destroying someone isn't necessary.
@@Channel-pq6jw unfortunately, if you're going to put yourself in front of a panel and make a fool of yourself, expect what's thrown at you or don't do it , quite simple really. People also love humour and a good laugh on these shows as well as people that can actually sing which is very few considering the amount of people that apply They know they're are garbage, they just want a few mins fame 🤣 .
I think there were points where it kind of sounded kind of good, but there were some points where it sounded awful. The vibrato he tried to do was horrible and he sort of sounded like he was trying way too hard to project his voice and seem more powerful than he was. He didn’t sound natural. It would have made a good karaoke performance, but it wasn’t good enough. Maybe with enough vocal coaching he could become way better.
I actually enjoyed the guy singing Hallelujah. He was so different, actually has a good, interesting voice under all the breathiness. Good looking, full of personality, interesting.
