I just recently found out she did street fighter and kingdom hearts theme. She composed my entire childhood!

I swear to God, we don't deserve her music. She just has this certain power that makes everything she produces emotional yet empowering. My favorite tracks of hers are Dearly Beloved and the Xenoblade Chronicles main theme.

Holy crap, I knew she was talented, but Megaman? This woman really has versatility going for her.

10.- SHE MADE A SONG FOR MEGAMAN?! 9.- I love Gray as much as anyone else, but this song is what made me play RH so I prefer it 8.-I've never played LoM but if the rest of the ost is like that I will certainly give it a shot someday 7.-SHE WORKED IN STREET FIGTHER TOO, HOW I DIDN'T KNEW ABOUT THAT?! 6.-AND IN A HORROR GAME TOO?! GEEZ I'M THE WORST 5.- Dedede theme has never been a favorite of mine, but I absolutely love this version 4.-Paper Jam final boss theme 2 > Never let up/In the final (But the three of them are definitely part of Shimomura's finest works, so I don't get the need to fight over which one is better in the end (get it XD) all is subjective ) 3.-If only I had a PS4, the ost is so amazing 2a.-Totally agree, Dark Impetus and the other promise are my favorite, but hikari orchestrated is too memorable and I think it really fits to the premise of "Final fantasy and Disney merging together", it always makes me feel nostalgic 2b.-And there's dark impetus... I'll never doubt you again klagmarlord 1.-Xenoblade is awesome (cries in the corner cursing the gods for not having a Wii)

Apocalypse aquarius is one of my favorites, it fits the feeling of that part of XV's story with the powerful mix of the orchestral instruments and an electric guitar.

Shouldn't Dearly Beloved be on this? I mean that song has literally transcended decades of games in the KH series.

Hikari is not a Yoko Shimomura composition, it was composed by Utada Hikaru and arranged for orchestra by Kaoru Wada. So, I guess Dark Impetus takes the second spot.

Two of my favourite tracks she's done are Cherry Blossoms Falling in the Snow and Rosetta Rosso from Luminous Arc 2 (both are themes for the same quirky lesser villain group) which as a game wasn't my favourite but god do they give the vibe I'm looking for in music.

I never thought about who made these songs, just that I liked them a lot. I've been a Yoko Shimomura fan since before I knew her name. XD

God damn, dude. She really really killed it with the KH theme. Not even a big fan of that series, but it's main theme and overall music is just so. Damn. Good.

I’m so glad she did FFXV. That game hands down has the best FF soundtrack. Every track is AMAZING.

Some of my favorite of her works have to be from Luminous Arc 2. Can't even say for nostalgia reasons because despite it being one of my first games ever, I couldn't get halfway through the game because I found it too hard (It was very easy but I was very stupid). But the best tracks really show in the later stages of the game, I suggest you guys check it out.

King dedede's theme is EXTRA THICC and amazing!

She has the ability to make some great, majestic and real cartoonish soundtracks, which are oh so memorable. Kingdom Hearts quickly got me.

Radiant historia is one of the best of shimomuras's. It had an ost called something like memories of grey.... It has to be a top shimomura tracks

YEEEEEESS! 10. I actually didn't know she worked on Mega Man. I know she worked on Street Fighter II, but this is a cool surprise. 9. Fantastic choice! I would probably say this is my favourite theme in the game too. Wonder if teh entire soundtrack to this game will be remade for the 3DS port? 8. This shows just how great she is at tranquil tracks as much as battle themes. 7. This theme is so goddamn good, it's become a meme in and of itself. It truly does go with everything. 6. Haven't heard this one before, but it's cool. I like it. :) 5. Initially my favourite track she rearranged in Smash Bros. Outstanding. 4. I could not get enough of this theme upon listening to it. Every time a boss battle occurred in the game, I was like "Yes! More of this music!" :D 3. Niiiiice. Haven't checked out Final Fantasy XV's soundtrack yet, but this sounds cool, without a doubt. 2a. Of course. This became my 1000th theme for a reason. It's legendary. :) 2b. It's interesting how out of all the battle themes, you would put this as the contender with Hikari. Personally I would've gone with Rage Awakened, but this is still a fine choice. 1. I may not like this game very much, but its soundtrack was king. This theme really knows how to capture your heartstrings.

The same person wrote Guile's theme, Earth Painting, Castle of Beans, and Somnus. How? Like, with other composers you kind of know what you're going to get. Mick Gordon is going to write electronic power metal. Grant Kirkhope is going to write wacky cartoon music where the melody passes to a different instrument every ten seconds. Yoko will write whatever the fuck.

Guile Theme is one of her major works, if not her major work.. ever - possibly the most important OST ever made in gaming is Street Fighter II's - and Ryu's Theme, obviously..

I've expected way more Mario and Luigi songs tbh. This list is alright since she does a good job no matter which game, but you definetly missed out on "In the final" a timeless classic from Bowsers Inside Story
