Top 100 Krautrock Albums All-Time!  

Classics and rarities albums, very good taste of Krautrock, have you got the first Between album " and the waters opened" by the way ?

That was epic Dan. 3rd side of Tago Mago unlistenable!? Controversy! Wow, Krokodil at the prime position. I don't have that! Been looking, in fact for any by the band. Top 100 Canadian psych next????

Krautrock! I can honestly say I have only dipped my toe into the world of KR, I do have a few like that Eloy-Inside, Tiger B Smith, Amon Duul, but man outside stuff like that I am a rookie! So thank you for the education! Lots to now check out and I def will! Peace my Friend! ✨✌️👽✨

I come late to your channel - my loss. An excellent overview of what must be one of the best collections out there. It deserves further examination, breaking into smaller more detailed sub-groups. Good to see Hairy Chapter getting its due. Like many others I unfortunately did not get beyond the first track of Spermull and sold my copy essentially unheard (regretful face here). Also regret parting with the Peter Michael Hamel double from 1972 - but lets not go down the rabbit hole of regretted past purges (many before moving to Canada mid-80's).. Must say I was waiting for Message "From Books and Dreams" 1973, some Birth Control, Grobshcnitt and Eroc (though I may have missed these - you showed us so many). Like many "original era proggers" (code for old), in the 80's I tried to collect all the Green label Brain releases - the first 100 from the 70's. I got to around 65/100 before giving up. Sold most over the last 3 decades. Moved onto heavier fare as I got older and hearing diminished..

Juicy indeed Dan!..salivating over some of those titles and many I've simply not heard of before. I counted only about 10 that I own, tons I'd love to get and will be streaming plenty more ..I totally agree with what you said about Tago Mago..the first record with Paper House, Mushroom and Hallelluwah is amazing, but I rarely play the second record. The more folky stuff like Trauum definitely is high on my wantlist. Surprised you didn't show Brosselmachine..that's a fabulous German folk prog album. Great fun and informative video as always. Superb collection Dan. Makes me very envious and conscious of how little I own in the genre. There's been a couple of collections turn up locally in the last 7 years or so and I bought some bits but no where near what I'd liked to have got. Cheers Nige

Hey Dan. My favorite genre. Fortunately, I genuinely like the 3 albums you mentioned, meaning that I won't get black balled from the V.C. Great collection. I tend to lean more towards the heavy guitar side of Krautrock, although I do love it all. After viewing your collection, I noticed that I am missing some of the more jazzy and electronic lps. When I first began watching RU-vid videos, I was in awe of Nico's collection, among others, including yourself. Cheers!

Dan, awesome selections, lots of stuff I've never heard. I dig Gila's ''Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee'' and Amon Duul 2's ''Hi- Jack'', very few Krautrock devotees seem to like those two gems.

Awesome collection Dan! By my count I have 25 of these records that you showed. Synthesist is a favorite. I need those Jane albums and a bunch more of what you showed. I loved seeing some of your krautrock collection. And I've just pulled up Guru Guru's Dance of the Flames on YT to listen to. Take care!

Many of these I've never seen, even though it's a genre I love. Honestly, other than Can, Klaus Scultze and Tangerine Dream - I never saw any Krautrock in the wild, over decades of digging. Thank goodness for reissues or I'd probably never have a chance to see more.
