I miss how MTV used to be about music instead of shitty reality shows. Back in October of 2017; I was cautiously optimistic about the reboot of "TRL" and how it might appeal to this generation of MTV viewers.
I was born in 1930 and the 90s was by far the best decade of my entire life, I remember playing all these songs in my old 1981 Cutlass with my wife, I married her in 1956 but she sadly passed away last October, I’m now a retired 92 year old author and I love to always live young and free. Thank you!
So sad crying those we the days they were my best times can I go back even for just 1 week I'd be so thankful the world right now I have no words for it I'm just not feeling this time era I need to go back
for what it’s worth, I’m about to be 28 and I struggle with this constantly. it’s tricky; on one hand I don’t want to be mystified by rose colored glasses, I was lucky to have a pretty good childhood, particularly those first 10 years, but it’s hard not to create an association to the time/era. the world felt so full of possibility as a little kid in the 90s; even though things were far from perfect , it at least felt like maybe the beginning of a new and better world, like even though things weren’t perfect, they were changing. it was a world of diversity and tolerance and color, all the while the internet as we now know it was just on the horizon. so much of the aesthetics of the 90s, as far as I remember it anyway, was about futurism; increasingly design choices all over employed sleek modernity, metallic colors, silver and chrome and clear colored plastic. it was certainly tacky at times, but it felt indicative of culture at the time, that everyone was thinking squarely about tomorrow, typically with optimism. looking back now, my heart often aches for Gen X. it would seem that they were trying so hard to make that new and better world a reality, and they were quietly stopped by the same villains presiding over us all today.
The early 90s was an awesome time for Rock punk and the emergence of grunge. personally my fav time with groups like Nirvana, Greenday, Oasis, so many awesome bands. the late 90s was more pop and techno, which was also great in its own way. Overall the decade had something for everyone.
i am looking for an english song but dont remember the name and singer. there was a pool and the singer wear black suit. Also there were two or three girls wear black dress, mini skirts. also i remember that the groups name was so short. Could you help me please. thanks
I SAY THIS SO MUCH ABOUT 1990'S MUSIC AND THAT IT'S LAST GREAT DECADE FOR MUSIC.AFTER DECEMBER 31,1999 ENDED,IT'S BEEN DOWNHILL AS FAR AS WHAT I HAVE HEARD.
What a delightful trip down memory lane that was. Thank you for that. I honestly do miss the 90's. The music was amazing, the times were fun. And the world was a different, and much, much better place.
And even though the 90s did have some rough times, it's STILL a VERY true successful time, bigger and more variety in ALL FORMS of entertainment! I was born 91, and I'm super proud to be a 90s baby
The whole world wasn't in the nineties yet. Parts of the world were still suffering hangovers from different ways so they weren't as progressive. Early and late nineties were very different also because of the advances in technology
@@FC-hj9ub Yes in the early 1990's some parts of the world were in the process of getting out the Soviet Union. The Berlin wall fell in November of 1989 and the Soviet Union in December 1991.
Watching this in 2019. Sad that some of these artists have passed or the groups are no longer together and that some turned out to be criminals. Makes me feel old.
Question: have you think about making playlists on Spotify with this songs? It could be easier for everyone who wants to listen all the songs. I would save all of them. I like a lot your choices😊
@@farafara8885 yeah, a lot of them. Not just the music but also that feeling that comes with it. I'm pretty close to 90s (2000) and I've listened a lot of this song as a kid. And nowadays I also listen a lot of 80s, 90s music. There are a lot of masterpieces that shall not be forgotten
for me its because my whole family lived their teen years and young years around 80s and 90s and they are always playing music from those years and they have many things related with those years (im also from the 00s close to 90s)
oh fuck 💔💔, the memories come to the surface, I miss the good old days a lot, there was no internet or mobile phone, when you have a date you have to wait, if she's late, she can't tell you by phone or text
As a 90s kid born in the 90s 100, 96, 86 (listen to later), 82, 81, 80, 78, 76, 74, 71, 70, 62, 56 (listen to later), 53, 46, 40, 32, 31, 27, 26, 19, 15 & 10 are unfamiliar to me. Everything else was either good nostalgia & others I wish I forgot already 😂
Only when I called for my mate.. We didn't have Sky. But now you mention it, when I did go, it seemed like "Love Shack" B52's was on every morning. Could've sworn that was 90's, but it's '89 lol.
@Mayochiki its so funny tho, ppl back in the 90s were all about trashing their own music and the backstreet boys were the butt of the joke and now ppl want to claim it as the 'good days of music' fjxmdjjdugjd
@FoolishImpresario 410 I completely agree with you. I live in Russia. The city of Kaliningrad is the westernmost point of Russia. Poland and Lithuania surround me, that is, the two sides of the European Union. I constantly listen to the nineties. This is the real coolest music in our time.
There is actually more diversity in todays music, you just need to open your fucking mind and search for some music instead of pretending the only music that exists now is the popular shit.

If you're a U.S. citizen, the 90s were the last decade before we lost a certain innocence from 9-11. So, for those of us who are old enough, that event changed certain things forever. Like covid is doing now.
The more I go back and listen to older songs, the more I realize how generic today's mainstream music sounds. Every idiot with access to autotune is a singer now. The sound of modern music is so over-processed that sometimes it gives me the impression that someone entered the lyrics in Google translate then added some negatives to it and bam: you got a new "hit"
Awesome 😍 i was born in 1981 and enjoyed my time as a teenager, with so many of these songs helping me trough bad times and also filled good times with many memorys. Love it ❤
@ dude literally it was the same. look at how our parents/grandparents hated our music. it's a vicious cycle. we think their music is shit because it's not ours, our parents hated our music because it's not theirs, so on and so forth. don't be a hypocrite
@ it literally has not. look when you were young you can relate to songs, but now? not anymore. because it's not for us anymore, it's for their generation. it's their style now, their beats, their lyrics. not ours. for me it was early to mid 2000's and look how it changed. it changed to fit the new generation.
