If you look at the picture of Captain Crunch on the cereal box, the stripes on his sleeve indicate that he's a commander and not a captain.

I know you wrote your comment a year ago, but at least in the Army and Air Force, "commander" is a position that you hold--in other words, it's the job you are currently tasked with--while "Captain" is a rank. So the guy on the box could be carrying out the duties of being a commander while ALSO being a Captain in rank. The two are not mutually exclusive nor necessarily inclusive.

@@cjmarshall0221 it's the name that was given 250 years ago at the start of the current Monach dynasty. The meaning has something to do with the city being blessed by the angels to flourish in every way, it's citizens live happily and healthily, and a bit more praising.

Just think of the problems you'd have with official stationary if the real name had to appear at the top of every correspondence! To be fair, you folks aren't the only ones who like long names for cities. Here in the U.S., the city of Los Angeles (Those Angels), was originally known as "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles," (The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels). Fortunately, people eventually settled on the shortened version. Thanks again.

I (subject), am (predicate). ‘Go’ is an imperative sentence - a sentence that expresses a direct command, request, invitations, warning, or instruction. It does not contain a subject; instead, its subject is an implied second person. So, with that in mind, using two words (a subject and predicate) is the shortest complete sentence you can make in English. That's why it's "I am" (structurally and alphabetically).

To prevent flies from ruining your picnic, take quart sized airlock bags and fill 3/4 with plain water. Add a fee pennies to each bag, seal and hang from the 4 corners around your picnic area. Because flies have hundreds of eyes, the reflection of the sunlight on the pennies added with the magnifying effect of the water confuses them and they will fly away from them, thus keeping them from spoiling your fun and enjoying your food.

#49 , a Jiffie was proposed as "equal to the time it takes light to travel one centimeter in a vacuum (approximately 33.3564 picoseconds)" But is used differently in different areas : - Electronics : is the period of an alternating current power cycle (1/60 or 1/50 usually) - Computing : time between two ticks of the system timer interrupt. ( which varies, as the interval is dependant on hardware)

The opposite sides of a die always add up to a number one higher than the highest number on the die. On a 6 sided die it's 7, on a 20 sided die it's 21 (etc). That number also has the highest probability of being rolled with two of those dice.

Did you know that the game show What’s My Line lasted for 17 years? Debuting in 1950. It’s currently one of the longest consistently run game shows of all time behind The Price is Right. All with the same host. Think about that, this was 1950 when nothing on TV lasted for more than a few seasons. Even by today’s standards that’s incredible.
