From the beginning, I kept thinking "If he includes Hordak without ranking She-Ra alongside He-Man..." Thank you for giving her the props she deserves.
Skeletor is actually the result of Hordak combining two beings, Keldor and an evil inter-dimentional being named, Uqquz' Zekul-Mshqx (or "Demo-Man"). Hordak thought that he could control Keldor after joining him with Demo-Man, which he did for a very brief time. Keldor was dying having been splashed in the face with acid that he tried to use unsuccessfully on his younger half-brother King Randor when they were sword fighting, so he agreed to be merged with Demo-Man in order not to die.
Shadow Weaver should have definitely been here. She was as powerful and as evil as Haggar (Honerva) the Witch from Voltron. Also, you forgot to mention that She-Ra can also speak with animals or demonstrates some kind of telepathy with them. Plus, she could transform her sword into so many different things that He-man could never do. Other than that, thank you very much for putting this video together. Bravo!!!
In the German 80's radio play cassettes Zodac also knew that Adam is He-man. And I always got the impression that he is the most powerful man in the universe. Because he acted God-like. Existed beyond time and space. He seemed to know everything.
One thing you got incorrect was that in the 2002 TV series, King Hiss DID NOT form an alliance with Skeletor, but with Evil-Lyn, however Evil-lyn quickly discovered that Hiss had no use for her, and their alliance was short-lived. He was brought back with the help of Kobra Khan and General Rattlor and threw Skeletor out of Snake Mountain so he would not hinder his plans. One thing you also forgot to mention, is that in the 2002 TV series, it is mentioned that King Hiss and Hordak were once mortal enemies.
In the 80s cómics it's also mention that the snake men and the Horde were enemies. When Hsss finds out that Cobra-Khan was working for the Horde he gets enraged with him.

Many say these days the basis for He Man wasn't Conan the Barbarian but Jack Kirbys new gods comic, however its impossible to not see a connection with Lin Carter Gondwane series, which did feature a giant Blonde warrior with a sword on his back wandering a medieval world that it reverted to after an apocalypse left the world with thousands of years of advanced technology as part of it too
Interesting take on what influenced He-Man's lead character as any good creative writer/artist would tell you ideas come from things they've seen or experienced within the genre of their craft. Not always I just had a dream. But I do point out the obvious.. Neither Conan nor Schwarzenegger of the mentioned film were blond. lol. ;)

Masters Of The Universe has always been one of my favorite series. Pretty much everything that's MOTU is awesome especially every toy line and the DC Comics run.
She Ra wasn't captured by the rebels, she was Adora, kidnapped at birth by Hordak on Eternia and brought to Etheria and raised to be a member of the Evil Horde, but in the movie Secret of the Sword, the Sorceress from Greyskull sends He-man to Etheria to find someone and give them a duplicate of his power sword. he finds evil Adora and tries to make her see what evil the Horde is doing on Etheria, she at first doesn't believe him, but of her own volition changes sides and joins the rebels. also when she changes her mind, she holds aloft the sword that He man brought to her. and she says, For the Honor of Greyskull, and changes into She Ra the most powerful woman in the universe!

I am a sucker for multiverse storylines, and am really glad to see them use that from the DC comics. Teela and Evil-Lynn's redesigns are great! Besides that, they help make it clear when we are seeing one of the frequent flashbacks. Also I like Faker's more T1000 look, as it makes the blue make sense. My only real complaint is that I wish Netflix's promotion for this show wouldn't have included the mistake that it was a sequel to the 80s Filmation series, as this has caused some people to apparently lose their minds.... It is not, and never could have been, a sequel, as they don't even have the rights to the old show.

There is a new millennial He-man who has a ponytail and is very effeminate. There is also the new He-Man show where all male leaders (He-Man & Skeletor) are killed or are turned into ignorant whining weaklings (King Randor) leaving the women to lead everything (the Sorceress, Evil-Lyn, Telah, Telah's new minority girlfriend, and the Queen). The men who remain in Eternia are weak buffoons. Both new He-Man shows suck!
3:29 As a child and Motu fan, I liked this movie, I saw it around '90. I think with a bigger budget and a better story, Dolph Lundgren would have been an excellent He-Man.

Orko really is one of the most powerful wizards in the universe. His powers just don't work too well on Eternia due to the Grayskull power that flows about the planet, blocking Orko's powers from working. On Orko's home planet, his magic is extremely strong.
If we are doing just twelve I would drop Sh'gora and Shokoti (one shot villains) and went with reoccurring characters that had some development put into them. Man at Arms :( Intelligence is a phenomenal power) His ability to create weapons and scientific constructs is tremendous, from rock melting lasers to matter duplicators is unparalleled. It always felt like they were holding him back. Granamyr :The fact that his power levels far surpass He Mans is more that enough. Otherwise you did put together a solid list!
The narrator sounds like Rod Sterling. lol The inconsistencies across all the incarnations of He-Man (series, movies, figures and comics) shows how necessary it is to have a proper mythos or myth bible for the franchise. I know George Lucas had a tight grip on Star Wars so there was considerable consistency in that universe, so novelisations, comics, shows and other media all fit together seamlessly without contradictions (until Disney took over the franchise, that is).

GRANAMYR is the most powerful in all of the Masters of the Universe characters. Yet, he isn't even mentioned at all. If Sh'gora is in this list, then Granamyr should have been number ONE.
Yes, He Man needed to free Granamyr to defeat the great evil dragon Shadow Wing when it appeared that he could not. There is perhaps one other even greater being, the one named Om, who was in the Arena episode, a riff on an old sci fi story also done on the old 1960s Star Trek series (Arena). He was kind of like an Organian, a being who had transcended physical existence, and was able to freeze He Man, Skeletor and 2 armies all at once with ease.
2002 did a great job with characters. King hiss was genuinely terrifying. Sorcereress has an Egyptian theme. Evil lyn is just amazing with her sarcasm. Beast man is more ape like. Ram man is a brawler who acts like a retired military veteran

I would think Shadow Weaver is more powerful than Beastman. And you cant forget the ancient dragon character from the original Heman. He was more powerful than most.
Skeletor and King Hiss never formed an alliance. Skeletor and all of his minions are beaten by King Hiss who takes over the Snake Mountain. Going by the next few episodes, King Hiss is proven to be much powerful enemy then Skeletor. He was the only character that successfully infiltrated Greyskull in 2002 version, defeated Sorceress and was about to grab the power inside if not for Zodak. Also, I would definitely add Mother Dragon from episode Dragon's Brood. A powerful dragon that even He-man could not beat.

Honesty, Horde Prime should be #1, he is the big bad behind the scenes in the master of the universe franchise. I would say the list is something like that: #1 Horde Prime #2 Zodac #3 Sorceress (in the Greyskull) #4 Moss Man #5 Sh'gora #6 He-Man #7 She-Ra #8 King Hiss #9 Shokoti #10 Evilseed #11 Hordak #12 Skeletor
Zodac was race swapped to add diversity, but the character was amazing, so fans rolled with it nearly universally. Can Hollywood take that as a lesson. DO NOT RACE SWAP unless what you are making is top notch. Do not race swap as an excuse for your impending bad reviews.
MOTU Classics separated the character into two separate beings. One a mystic enforcer enemy of the snake men and the other a neutral (more good than evil) intergalactic cosmic enforcer. This was similar to the Goddess (Sorceress) and Teela warrior separation.
Tri-Klops has always been my favorite character (what a great design), and in the original mini comics, he's shown to be just damn near equal to He-Man in raw strength and swordsmanship. Shame they relegated him to a bumbling flunky in the cartoon. His 2002 version was somewhat better, but holy crap is the version from Revelation garbage.
In the 80s show Adora was already force captain when we meet her in Secret of the Sword. As She-Ra her height never changes only her voice & hair are different in the new series She-Ra & the Princesses of Power is her height different.
I like how in the 2002 version, He-man is clearly not the most powerful. I came up with s power rating of 1 to 10. He-man 7 Skeletor 6 Zodak 8 He-man snake armor 8 King Hiss 8 Hordak 9 Gray Skull 10 So it makes it that He-man has real challenges that he cannot fight alone which is great. In addition, Gray Skull was so powerful that he took on King Hiss and Hordak at the same time and won (yet died). He-man could not be equal to Gray Skull because that power is shared amongst him and the Elders. So it makes sense.
Death Incarnate Skeletor and Master of Eternia He-Man are the strongest as stated by Teela who was acting as the sorceress of Grayskull in place of her mother.
