I bought my SHELBY Super Snake F-150 lowered four wheel drive street truck (750 HP) and have loved it from day one! It does not get the best fuel mileage but will get 16 to 18 mpg on the interstate . IT IS A BEAST OF A TRUCK I ASSURE YOU !!!!!!
Really the only tucks with supercharger from a manufacturer is the f150 lightning and the Harley Davidson edition. And since Shelby does work with Ford the shelby f150.
None of the above. 1999 Ford Lightning with bigger fuel injectors, performance chip, smaller supercharger pulleys, upgraded air intake, larger throttle body, shift kit, and headers. Pure fun!
@@automotiveterritory No, I bought a black 1999 used back in 2003 with 20K miles. Was my daily driver for a couple of years until I smoked the transmission from doing too many burn outs. So at that point when I had the transmission rebuilt I did the rest of the mods which are pretty common for Lightnings. Stock the truck was around 360 HP/450 Ft Lbs but after the mods was closer to 500 HP/600 Ft Lbs. Plus you could still throw sheets of plywood in the bed and tow a boat. Unfortunately I sold it a few years later after my daughter/son were born when my wife wrecked her car and I realized I couldn't fit everyone in it. One of my biggest regrets to this day especially when you see how the trucks are now holding their value. It was the only time in my life I looked forward to my commute back and forth to work. I loved that truck!
But there was something about that particular body style......almost a throw back look.......not as boxy and big as the newer fords. It actually handled and stopped pretty well for a full size pickup......except in the rain. I couldn't imagine driving it in snow but I live in Florida. I got it up to the rev limiter a couple of times.......you could feel the vibration on the windshield..........I couldn't imagine going that fast in one of the taller/boxier trucks.
Oh the two door Shelby one ,,is so cool..,they got this right along over,,@marcus. Super snake sport. Oh.,.it so nice ...the silver is really nice color to ...,,,
@@repnatl Yes they work in different ways. But a turbocharger is a supercharger. Its a type of supercharger. Look up the history of superchargers and forced induction. Prepare to be educated lol.
@@repnatl Hear...ill help ya...😜 "A turbocharger is simply a supercharger that is powered instead by a turbine in the exhaust stream. The first of these, dating to 1915, were referred to as turbosuperchargers and were employed on radial aircraft engines to boost their power in the thinner air found at higher altitudes." A supercharger is what...? And air compressor. And a turbocharger is what? An air compressor as well. Obvious differences in how they are driven...either by the crank or by exhaust gases. Under the blanket term of "superchargers" you have positive displacement superchargers and centrifugal superchargers and the ehaust gas driven(turbocharger). Early turbochargers were called turbosuperchargers. But still under the family term of supercharger. Disagreement aside...turbos are becoming the king as far as performance potential and efficiency.
DAMN !! LOVE THEM ALL !!! BUT EVERYTIME I LOOK AT THESE PERFECT BEASTY BEAUTIES I AM CONSTANTLY FINDING MYSELF WISHING THEY WERE ALL POWERFUL ELECTRICS WITH 4- 5 MOTORS UNDERNEATH THEM FOR SOME SUPER UNBRIDLED FUN THOUGH INSTEAD OF THE UTTERLY UNNECESSARY INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES AND DRIVE SHAFTS AND ALL THOSE RODS THOUGH !!! : D
i only trust ford when it comes to pickup, half ton, or full size truck among american car brands. but in asia Fords are kind of expensive and cost a fortune to maintain. so we stick with toyota and honda which by history are7 the most reliable car brand, plus they sold millions arround the world so parts are cheap and readily available. low cost maintainance. ford in asia are for rich people
The Jeep 5 Quarter isn't a bad looking ride at all!! The Ford Hennessey is of course a bad ass truck!! The Tesla is nothing more than a joke and I know alot of people like it but it's nothing more then a $40,000 metal box. And any Ford Shelby truck is the shit that all others strive to be.
@@automotiveterritory in all honesty I'm sure it's a very nice vehicle. But the style of it is too different and along with the price range I don't think you will see it being mass produced for main stream America. But yes if it looked like the Ford F250 I would definitely like it. For me the appearance of a truck is just as important as the functionality of the truck and the functionality of the Tesla seems very high but the appearance alone is enough to make me not want to give it a 2nd look.
I have already covered the topic of muscle motorcycles ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ss4KTea6vns.html Next will be a video about turbocharged and supercharged bikes
Funny how you put all those super charge horse power. The question how long they will last? How reliable? Can they outlast Toyota engineering? I doubt??? You need to watch Scotty video’s.
Toyota is great for sure , but I’ve personally owned both. My 1993 Toyota 22r broke at 147,xxx miles . My Ford’s have never broken down on me . My 2004 Ford F-150 currently has 220,000 miles on it, and it runs great still . Because my second Toyota truck broke down I don’t blame all Toyota’s for that . Some domestic vehicles are crap I realize but not all . Quite a few Ford vehicles are great minus a couple with bad quality on interior parts and seats . The Ford 5.4 triton is been known to go over 500,000 miles if treated serviced correctly, and plugs changed right. The 5.0 liter is bullet proof , and is actually better than most in its class “period”. Ford’s Ecoboost motors are amazing as well , long lasting and quick as hell for stock .
@T38 Talon do your research and get your facts correct Look at the rivian 4x4 its sooo good ford bought in and is using there platform to build ! Yep you guessed it the f150. So yeah ICB is dead move along woth the times and keep up with technology. 50 years lmao. They are here now !! More torque, more hp, better locking ability with quad motors.deeper waiding. The electric vehicles have superseded the icb in evey way. So you are dead wrong.
@@automotiveterritory I mean the ford f150 heritage or any f150 is a great option, but I think the cyber truck it cool, it will get some attention. The video quality was insane though! With the cycle through images and videos, that's some of the best editing I have seen
@@automotiveterritory the bureko is a but overboard for a daily driver, 6x6 isent always the cheapest option but pretty reliable off road, the f150 snake I think it was called is definitely my choice for a daily driver, but I'm not old enough to drive yet
