The high prices people pay are ridiculous just because it's a graded card. You can buy several complete sets for what one graded card sells for. The hobby was so much better prior to all these money making racket companies started.

That McGriff card (but the donruss version) was always one of my favorites when I first started collecting. Could never afford it back then, but I always though it had such amazing design and eye appeal. Seems like a fantastic long term investment. McGriff obviously an important part of baseball history.

The joy of collecting as a kid is to find your favorite player in a pack . I haven't bought a baseball card in a long time cause now they want you to spend 20 bucks .

Clearly this guy was an insider or grader at both companies because those are not pristine cards..some were not even centered…he got rid of all of these at the same time not just the Griffey’s but the others as well.

I got a Ken griffey junior Rookie card out of a pack of 89 upper deck In a card shop. Immediately put it in a case.It was weird it had a pen mark on his right shoulder. It's been in that case Since I bought it

It was common, too find Fred McGriff rookie cards in the dollar bins, or for, not much more than that. A lot of people, potentially threw out hundreds of dollars. Wow

I forgot to ask something in my other post. Do Tiffany cards say Tiffany on them? If not how do you tell?

Tiffany cards were made with better material from Ireland. They have a white back compare to the others. Sometimes I get mine mixed up with a Topps Traded. Then you need to look for a glossy finish gor it to be Tiffany. You couldn't buy Tiffany's at a store. They were given to certin people, auctioneers, dealers, and employees. There were only 10k made in some years. Not very many produced in any years. If you can come across one buy it. 10 times more value able than a Traded.

Those sgc pristines went for a ton. The fleer 548 can be had for 125 as a psa 10 and went for 1375 as sgc pristine

Back in 1989, I opened an entire case of 89 Donruss and was "pizzed" that I cold only make 3 sets. But, I had 48 Ken Griffey Jr's. I was so mad I dumped everything at that time, and that ended my collecting. FYI, A box from the 1st release is where the Griffey's are.

Wander what 95 refractors bowman's best Griffey and Thomas would sell for if I get graded. Appear to be 9.5/10's to me.

I'm a huge griffey fan. But my favorite this week? Has to be the Thomas Tiffany SGC pristine. His leaf rookie is more iconic. But a pop 1? Tiffany? SGC pristine?!?! That is an absolute unicorn. That pop count isn't going to change much. Maybe add a couple more. But will never go past single digits.
