Correction for one of the list Homeworld 3 is NOT to be released this year. It is instead going to be release NEXT year in 2024

The main reason why I love RTS games is because I just simple love the concept of war battles in games. The core gameplay of armies clashing against armies in an epic battle where many troops are just killing and dying in a bloody battlefield. So damn good! It is like watching the epic war scenes in the LOTR movies, but instead rather playing it yourself. Though I wish there are more medieval fantasy theme rts games out there in the typical traditional fantasy tropes that are Tolkien based and/or DnD based. I only have Warcraft series, BFME series and Spellforce. I wish there are more of those in terms of story and gameplay.

I wish someone would make an RTS game, where the entire focus is to recreate the feeling of map editors from Starcraft and Warcraft 3, then just let the community go wild making and uploading their own content for it to a free to play, arcade-like server. Just let people try it out for free, then charge a one time fee if they want the full version, and give players the rights to do whatever they want with their creations. Or just charge for the creator, and let people play for free. We got the whole MOBA genre from an environment like that, and I feel like there's more potential for big things to come out of an environment like that. All we need is a company that's not a greedy POS to host it. Just focus on making the editor as innovative, intuitive, and user friendly as possible, with a good artist to make the assets.

Stormgate looks like a starcraft 2 copy. Don't know why they would make such a game. Looks and feels too similar.

Mech isn't pronounced with the same "ch" used in cheese, it's pronounced "meck". Also, an auto-battler is some mobile/tablet/phone "game" bullshit that A) doesn't belong on desktop and B) is not a REAL TIME strategy game. You don't get to control your units in real time in an auto-battler.

The visual aspect in these games all look the same. Bland colors, brownish or greyish foggy atmosphere, pointlessly messy maps, nothing stands out, no unit looks iconic or original. There's no art direction, no creativity.
