I watched an interview with the lead singer of this song, as he's really sick. He straight out said that he purposely wrote a dark, tragic song and set it to bouncy music to prove that no one listens to the words, only the music. He mocked the terror and tragedy of those incidents to prove a point. I couldn't believe he would even admit that in front of an interviewer!

Also, Louie Louie was written by RnB songwriter Richard Berry Jr. in 1957. The original was completely intelligible. Don't know why the FBI couldn't have found it. It was a popular cover song for young bands in the area the Kingsmen grew up in. The Kingsmen recorded it on the cheap, in a living room with a single microphone hanging from the ceiling. It was done in one or 2 takes, and there's even a part of the song where the singer comes in too early, but they left it in because they didn't have the budget.

I absolutely understood Pumped up kicks the first time I heard it,it's very sad and I absolutely agree...my 3 kids were bullied and its heartbreaking situations and I felt powerless ,I beg other parents and schools to do better. On a another note the all of the songs except the Manson ,beetles and the Michael songs ,were songs that have always stuck in my head lol wow all damn ear warms .
