Doing a godskin build with black flame blade and a two handed peeler would be so fun if it wasn't a pain to un-twohand the peeler, apply the buff, then two hand again only to repeat every 10 seconds.
We had godskin peeler and some other weapon builds we had to cut cause we had so many options! Winged Scythe was on that list, too. Probably going to do a part 2!
Hey, quick note on the tree sentinel shield's AoW, it's basically the same timing as a parry, and, just like a parry, if you mistime it, you'll take some damage and also lose a lot of stamina. Otherwise, incredibly fun video, these will definitely serve as inspiration for later playthroughs!
I found that if you are on any type of raised ground and try to reflect it doesn’t work. The spell parry only seems to work when you and the opponent are on the same level. I had a difficult time with the timing but eventually got it and used Discus of light, which is my own spell that returns to me - which I would then reflect for a 2nd or even 3rd hit on my opponent. Tough but satisfying
This is very good content, but would recommend showing the best stats for each build, can be hard to decide on what’s best for the build when you’re on your own.
@@boosterbrosllc4681that kinda just depends on what weapons you want to use. which do they scale better with? strength or dexterity? then go from there
The bast build was one that i had in mind for a while but never saw anyone doing it. Really happy to see that performs so well. For armor i think the Veterans Helm/legs/arm with godfrey's chest armor looks really good.
Great video! You guys are my favorite Elden ring RU-vid channel. In my opinion, the best faith build is the bubbles with incantations. It might be the strongest build in the game if you do it right.
*Unfortunatly this build is all holy damage which as we discussed earlier there's a whole lot of bosses resistant to holy...* Destined Death: I missed the part where I cared.
Schools of Incantations are up next, followed by Strength/Int! We have a top “bleed builds” video up which is basically strength/Arcane, but many more are in the works!
I found that in my first play through with rikards sword. And I use the greatrune with it. You never need to heal. Boss only die once, so useless there, but dmg is just fine.
We included all "defensive spells" and "buffing spells" for all builds. Only "healing spells" and "offensive spells" were kept immersive/ build specific
Meanwhile I’m over here floundering with my mix mash stats because I’m dedicated to using a scythe and with a fashion-souls mindset. My next playthrough will probably be a sorcery situation. But right now its just me swinging my scythe with an ever rotating AoW and only yesterday did I respec to be able to use incantations. Loving the Lightning Spear.
Scythes are so much fun in Elden Ring, I can't blame you for sticking with it. Check out our arcane Scythe build in our bleed build comparison video, its so satisfying! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wVnYNnUtL9Q.html

Im using the tree sentinel set in my playthrough and im pretty sure theres a super tight window where u can reflect magic with the shield. Ive had many times where if i press L2 too early or late the shield comes up but doesnt successfully reflect

@Quiet Kingz I subbed to your channel the other day primarily for your ratings of others' builds. I find getting advice from veterans of the game on specific builds to be very beneficial, so thank you very much for doing this type of content. This comment is 2 months too late and I don't know if you'll see it, but considering you rated the blasphemous blade build #1, I'd very much like to see how you rate the Demonic Paladin build by Nizar GG. I'm just about to pick up the game for the first time and want to work towards this build via Nizar GG's Part 1 Paladin build using Great Stars.
Thank you very much for the support @flyinhawaiian9174. We will be resuming content soon, however we're currently on hiatus due to issues with Google Adsense/RU-vid. In short, we have not been compensated for ad revenue despite getting hundreds of thousands of views cumulatively on our videos. Until we get this resolved, we can't afford to post more videos. Hoping we will get this resolved this summer. 🙏
To be fair, you could use the Godskin Peeler and its original AoW for the Godskin build You will find, that there is NO OTHER stuff killing Greyoll that fast - even bleed builds are slower on that task So if you can pull off that AoW, you will have a really high damage - especially on large bosses And for the Godslayer Greatsword: I would never use the AoW of that weapon, unless my enemy is stance broken Also since neither of those two weapons scale good with STR, but way better with DEX, I think the Godskin build feels kind of strange on a STR FTH build list For the Erdtree Greatshield: the parry window is way smaller than the full animation - so that would be a reason, why it is inconsistent At 18:30 please note, that the spell you trying to parry and reflect, is in fact dispelled correctly if you parry at that small window, and you take damage if the timing wasn't right As for the poise break: if you use any parry, even if you do not land it correctly, it will still count as a block - thus no poise break, because you still had more than enough Stamina, but still damage taken - as that shield has only 49% block against fire The problem is, that the Giantsflame Take Thee is NOT a projectile spell in the sense, that it doesn't cause the damage on impact - it explodes on impact, and only the explosion causes damage Thus it can not be reflected with the Erdtree Greatshield!
We had so many options, that was one we cut. We will probably do a part 2 of faith weapon builds. Doing a full list of incantation comparisons for late game next! Keep an eye out!
We went with Omen armor set to match the "blasphemous" vibe. Other powerful armor sets to name a few would be fire prelate, bull goat, and lionell's. But if you need a easy lighter set to start with I recommend the scaled armor set (eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Scaled+Set). For 170 attributes I'd go, 40 vigor, 15 mind, 35 endurance, 51 strength, dex 15 (minimum to hold Blasph. Blade), intel (nothing added), faith 75 (soft cap is 80), arcane (nothing added). These stats may vary for you depending on "starting class". After this, I'd soft cap faith to 80 first, this mid-maxes the scaling for blade and your incantations, then I'd push for 80 strength and allocate the rest to more vigor, mind, and endurance. Let us know if you have any other questions!
This isn’t a strength faith build but for the people who are interested Here’s my int/faith build lvl 260 Vigor: 60 Mind: 40 Endurance: 34 Strength: 36 Dexterity: 20 Intelligence: 70 Faith: 70 Arcane: 9 Golden order seal +10 Noble slender’s sword sacred blade or carian grandeur Sword of night and flame +10 Haligtree crest greatshield Golden vow Lord’s divine fortification Barrier of gold Golden lightning fortification Protection of the erdtree Erdtree’s heal Blessing of the erdtree Law of regression Discuss of light Triple discuss of light greathelm(radiant gold mask buff) Haligtree surcoat Haligtree knight gauntlets Haligtree knight greaves Magic/Faith scorpion charm Shard of Alexander Old lord’s talisman Curved sword talisman Magic/Faith Shrouding tear Cerulean hidden tear Recommend spirit ashes with great survivability Go for guard counters Change between magic and holy depending on the situation Use mostly holy U could try to lower intelligence to 50 or 60 and use those points for dexterity and strength instead If u like the ash of war of the sword of night and flame u could use fire scorpion charm and fire shrouding tear wouldn’t recommend that though u are better of using blasphemous blade
One thing I don’t understand is why so many dual wield builds? You kinda lose the true moveset of the weapon if you’re just spamming jump attacks. Like w/ the Golden Halberd I know the Holy resistance sucks for a lot of bosses but I’ve always crushed most PVE bosses using the charged heavies w/ Axe Talisman, Spiked Cracked Tear and the posture break tear can’t remember what it’s called. I eventually swapped Golden Halberd out end game for Ordovis’s GS since the AoW does 80% physical & only 20% holy but for 90% of the game I just bullied the hell out of almost every boss using the Charged Heavy strat.
Yeah 2 handing golden halberd is solid. I completely crushed the game with a lv 140 golden halberd + lighting build. The charged attacks from the halberd deal huge poise damage and cause stance breaks, greatly sinergyzing with the fully charged lighting spells. Stance break + ancient red lighting = complete destruction
Combining Sacred Relic Sword with a spell like Honed Bolt is really strong in PvP. The wave of holy gets them rolling and then you play as dirty spammer with the honed bolt. If that somehow fails you still have other incantations and your actual sword.
Well this is a build that I call the cosmic duo build or celestial contrast build. Yeah I don't really have a cool name for it. It centers on dual wielding Maliketh's Black Blade and the Sacred Relic Sword paired with Elden Stars, Founding Rain of Stars, Ranni's Full Moon, and Flame of the Fell god. You can probably see the theme here. Not only is there a lot of pairs in this build but the allusion to celestial phenomenon and objects is hard to miss. I don't know how well this build would perform though.
I feel like that would do well with all of the spell diversity, definitely a late game build due to the different attribute scaling. But I think it would crush when scaled properly. Really unique and inspiring build idea 😎👍
Hoping we see black flame weapons gain more hyper armor in a patch. They *feel* strong, but landing them is incredibly difficult- except for Black Flame Tornado: this AoW is amazing but lacks hyper armor, as well.
I just got the blasphemous blade and as usual I head to limgrave and test it out on the soldiers and the one giant , so far , it's a thumbs up , new york
Godslayer and sacred relic scale of dex, too. I think a few more do too a little, but also strength so we threw it in the mix. Black monk would look great, we just went with armor that was as strong as possible for NG+7
Godslayer GS is most def a Dex/Faith weapon. Shouldn’t be on this list, honestly. Syrobe just did an awesome vid on the Godslayer GS within his “Mathematically Correct” series that he does. He says the min/max most optimal setup is 55 Dex, 30 Str, 25 Faith. So def more of a Dex weapon. I would spec more into Faith for the Black Flame incants and extra damage on the AoW but his build was at lvl 125 and I usually top out at lvl 150. And you either have to really get the timing down on the AoW if you want to get off first but it works best when you use is to counter after the boss completes a combo. Once the Hyper Armor kicks in the damage is insane on the Ash. And yeah, def agree, should have went w/ Black Flame Monk Set w/ Greathelm. You’ll hit 51 poise. And you want the Godfrey Icon w/ that build instead of the Faith little bro talisman. Get much better damage on the spells since the offensive spells all charge. Great vid tho. You guys are putting out great content.
Nice! We'd love to do a ranking of standard weapons with AoW's, we just excluded those to focus on the weapons that are fixed to Str/Faith. If we do a ranking of str/faith that include AoW/ Affinity Swaps we will definitely include that. Thanks for that tip!
Not sure how a vyke's spear build could get such low pvp rating, dual wielding those is possibly the most broken build you can do. Greatspears have some of the best movesets and damage/poise damage, and madness will work even against bad connections with the phantom hits guaranteeing the proc and stun, on top of great spears being able to roll catch even light roll spammers. The only real downside is fire damage being generally the worst kind of damage for pvp due to rain/terrain debuffs and easy of building up defense against it, since fire defense scales off of vigor. As a not, using greyoll for testing will give a massive advantage to anything inflicting the destined death or black flame damage over time because they scale off of enemy max hp. Fire prelate will get very good the moment you use catch flame. The slow attacks mean the rotten wing sword insignia is probably not worth it. Lastly, magma blades scale very well both with str and fth and would make better use of the multiple hit talismans than any other build here. I don't remember if the magma sorceries scale off of faith or if those were the bleed ones, but if they do they'd pair well with magma blades. It would still be a heretic build that can work with catch flame, giantsflame take thee and flame grant me strength. No heals, but you can go for fire prelate armor which is pretty strong. There is also the options of using as secondary weapons the flame whip candlestick or the fire giant one, the second definitely stronger.
Magma blade is one of our favorite weapons! Unfortunately, magma spells are sorceries and not incantations. We did a magma build for our sorcery build comparisons, which paired with the gelmir glintstone staff. It is pretty awesome, but the fire incantations are much stronger than the magma sorceries unfortunately. Great info! Appreciate the feedback!
@@goodnight1119 If you want you can also use the bullgoat talisman to increase poise. It's looted in a cave in Caelid, but you can just run past the bear and snag it if you're quick enough!
The talismans you used for the Tree Sentinel build were really poor. Rotten Winged Sword and Milicent's Prosthesis should be used on really fast weapons that build up the hit counter really quickly, Katanas, Dual Curved Swords, anyrhing fast and Dexterity focused will benefit from those Talismans. Just giving constructive feedback guys. Love your build videos
eh I like the discus throw incantations + stormblade ash of war + want the lionel armor ( it looks funny and badass XD) + nice to have poise breaking. How to build around these 4 ? hmmm
Im looking for a str faith build, faith for buffing weapons and healing mainly, i DONT want to use blasphemous blade, but i want to buff big ass weapons with flame or lightning incants and do as much damage as possible, any suggestions?
When I think big lightning weapon, I'd go with Bolt of Gransax which is incredibly strong and not to hard to obtain. It Scales more off Dex, but pairs nicely with lightning incantations. For fire, the Godslayer Greatsword or Magma Wyrm is pretty great. Mogh's Staff is more Strgth/Arcane, but it does fire damage. Alternatively, you can do a pure Strength Build with Giant-Crusher (or any other big ass weapon of choice), set the affinity to heavy, and use "Vyke's Dragonbolt" to cover your weapon and body with lightning. You can do the same for fire, but use "Eruption" AoW or "Flame of the Redmanes" AoW.
There’s no way madness build is 2/5 for pvp. Vykes spear is a great spear which is one of the best move sets in the game if not the best for pvp. It inflicts madness on players even on phantom hits, and the fingerprint shield is the strongest shield in the game. Pairing that with an amazing incant like unendurable frenzy for pvp, theres absolutely no way it’s 2 out of 5. 5 out of 5, no debate it’s insane.
Now THIS is how you do a motherfucking video. No bullshit, no screeching annoying side chat that appeals to 12 year olds. Just crystal clear enjoyable dialogue and good points across the board.
When talking about a percentage it is relative to the health so saying an enemy with higher health will drain more health isn’t true. It will still only drain 10% 👍🏼
It will drain more health though. If the percentage is fixed, the amount of health drained will vary depending on the target's max HP. If the amount of health drained is fixed, then the percentage will vary depend on the target's max HP. If it's a fixed 10%, then an enemy with 400 HP will lose 40 HP, but an enemy with 4000 HP will lose 400 HP, and if the enemy has 4,000,000 HP they will lose 400,000 HP. A fixed percentage attack can deal enormous damage, potentially more than regular attacks ever could, since they don't deal fixed percentage damage. Your average R1 will deal 500 damage to every enemy, no matter if their HP is 400 or 4,000,000.
You did the Bubble Build dirty my guy. Using ONLY the Longhorn was unfair since there's 3 different horns. The small horn could be used for the agile bosses and enemies as well as PvP since you can use the Ash of War quickly AND in motion. Also... Elden Stars? Really? You used the worst faith spell possible with this build? I felt like you TRIED to make this build seem far worse than it actually is simply because you dislike the head piece (it's called a turban btw you uncultured swine). jk 🤣 But in all seriousness, you could've done so much better with the Bubble Build. 👳♀️👳♂️👳
@@quietkingz Yep. Funny thing is before I actually looked it up, I always just called it "Misery Cord" because that's what it looked like, but that's actually also how it's pronounced. It's a French word that means "mercy".
Did you just pronounce Misericorde as "Merry score day"? No, no, no, no, no. "Misery core day." Think huffing it at the gym when you don't want to, not happily winning a sports match.
Misericorde has no proper pronunciation. It’s a word that plays by its own rules. There is no right or wrong way to say it. It transcends the confines of human language. I should know, I got a C- in English class.
How about a samurai build video? I have a build that uses dual Moonveils for open world and general fights, and for bosses I use Comet Azur or Meteorite of Astel For healing I use the Taker Cameo (health on kill) The Moonveil is powerful with high intelligence, but it truly shines in PvP. I can't tell you how many people try to heal, only to have me use my Ash of war and erase everything they just healed 🤣🤣🤣 Or when they go to hit with some huge attack only to be staggered out of it 🤣
A samurai build video is a great recommendation! Definitely including that when we move into Int/dex and Int/str weapons! Moonveil Samurai is SO good in pvp... too good some would say 🤣
@@whocares9033 We have a few suggestions for this type of video! That and comical/ cosplay builds. We are compiling a list! Let us know if you have more ideas from other games/ movies/ etc
Adding Godslayer's greatsword to a Strength Faith build when it's primary scaling stat is Dex, doesn't make any sense. Also, the positives of what make the Godslayer's greatsword better than any other colossal sword, is its weight, and its ability to attack very quickly. It has devastating heavy attacks, and if you use basic buffing incantations, you can play this build just as a 2 handed big damage playthrough. You don't need any of the trash black flame abilities, and using your ash of war is best when the enemy is staggered, especially if theyre weak to fire. Not just pulling out a wind up ash of war when youre in godfrey's face. That is just dumb.
