Good work, Max. I frequently see you with an Aperol Spritz. Have you tried a Cappiletti Spritz? Less sweet and better tasting. It comes with a story you could tell about the origin of Spritz and Austrian soldiers.
Oh, wow. Thank you for the tip. I know Campari Spritz, Sarti Spritz, Limoncello Spritz and some others but I think I never heard of the Cappiletti Spritz. I will look it up.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your trip and experience with us. I followed your trip to Paris as well last year. You mentioned it was your 1 month anniversary but how? You were together last year. I look forward to your future trips. Enjoy!
Thank you so much! I'm publishing these videos with a lot of delay unfortunately. This video was filmed in the summer of 2021 - one month after our trip to Paris. :)
🥰 Absolutely Fantastic Venice Video , I enjoyed it very much ! Every video you do is so complete and very details make it so much easier to plan and be ready for future new adventures, thank you and Karen , both of you are so lovely and beautiful together !
Thank you so much! Your feedback means a lot to me! 😍A lot of love and work goes into each of these videos and I'm so happy when they can help you have better trips. 😃
Munchen to Venice by train is only about 7 hours. You are lucky. I have done the journey. For the others wishing to travel to Venice, here are some tips that will serve you well. Find accommodation on the mainland as close to the island as you can. Walk across the bridge whilst you stay there daily. Most if not all the places have no lift, the ones that do are not cheap and mostly on the 3rd floor or above. Dragging luggage across the bridges and climbing stairs will drive you crazy with luggage. Venice with all the small streets and people carrying luggage will test your relationship. There are 2 menus, 1 for the locals and 1. for the tourists, so be careful. When you order something hang on to your menu, if asked why, tell them in case you want something else. Then cross check your bill.
Those are some good tips, thank you! What do you mean by "main land"? Mestre? That would be a 2.4 mile walk across a bridge with heavy traffic... 😅 I agree with your remarks about luggage. It is a bit challenging in Venice, so definitely better to travel as light as possible. I'm not sure about the thing with the 2 menus but it's definitely important to do your research on restaurants beforehand since there are a lot of over priced tourist trap places in Venice.
@@maxnomadtravelOh, okay. By the main land I should have included as close to the railway station as possible, then it is just a walk across the bridge. Most restaurants have 2 menus, one for the locals and one for the tourists. We went out one night and we ordered our meal. The bill came and I thought it was a little bit expensive at 80 euros. We went back on purpose the following night to the same restaurant sat in the same seats ordered the same meal. The waiter went to take the menu from me. This time I told him that I will hold it just in case I want something else. The bill came and it was 40 euros for exactly the same food we ate the previous night. I showed both bills to the waiter and asked him if he could see any difference. The penny then dropped that we had been there the night before. His excuse was city taxes. He then asked me for a tip, I said to him that 40 euros that you stole from me last night is your tip and you should go to the mayors office and them to give it to you. After I posted my comment on their page, their business went backwards and many restaurants changed their behaviour.
Oh, thank you for the explanation! :) You were actually staying on the island of Venice. The Santa Lucia train station is on the island. Wow, that restaurant story is crazy. I'm glad that your comments made them change their behavior. Unfortunately lots of tourists also always attract lots of scams. 🙈
Loved this video! You’re such a romantic! Lucky girl . I am going again this September because 1 day was not enough. I’m showing my husband this video thank you so much .
I love it 🥰 I love it 🥰 I will be in Venice on September definitely going to try your recommendations. Say hello to Karen she is so cute have a hurt time with her lobster 🦞 😅
Here is a tip for you: If you are staying at Hotel (Bauer) in San Marco you can take their free taxi shuttle from the back (near the breakfast area) to Lido because they have another branch of the hotel there. The other branch is next to Cipiani.
