I'm a longtime Flash fan. I have been working in this program for over 20 years. I started with the Macromedia version. I also used MOHO. I had the opportunity to work in the production of children's animated shows and game production. Now I'm retired and doing my own original projects.
Smith Micro did not create MOHO/anime studio. It was developed by “Lost Marble” who sold it to Smith micro, but later bought it back after Smith micro began floundering and needed to dump assets MOHO pro is a great 2D animation software.
Crazy Talk Animator is old. It's now called Cartoon Animator 5 vector program with some cool new features, very different from Crazy Talk Animator, which is at least 5 years old from the date of this video.
SOOOOOOOO different. The new features of Cartoon Animator 5 are AMAZING! Ive been with this software since version 1 and it just keeps getting better and better.
I was interested in Toom Boom until I saw it is more of a subscription than an actual product you can own. I fucking dislike how many companies are geared towards subscription rather than selling a product for individuals. I would understand you would used that for studios and/or other companies but for the public consumers, I think it is greedy. TVpaint it is, I guess.
Missing were CelAction, CACANi and Procreate Dreams. And regarding Blender, I think it could give more visual emphasis to 2D animations made with the Grease Pencil tool, instead of just showing 3D projects. 😉
@@dplj4428not really….the future is bright for PDreams. You Don't really need the handbook open when there are tons of tutorials flying everywhere. And if you are already familiar with Procreate then PDreams won't be any problematic as you'd expect. I think it's a great tool with lots of potential, ...only time will tell!
no where near first place yet, unfortunately. I was very hyped for it but it's still missing so many essential tools to make animating in it comfortable, let alone to be above the competitors. Still fun tho~
lol yeah no i tried the og procreate and lemme tell you that it FAR underperformed the hype it and the ipad air 4th gen and the apple pencil are all cheap e-waste garbage sold for massively inflated prices. all of it. get a sammy galaxy tab s8 ultra and cloverpaint. the s pen stylus has a FAAAAAR superior feel, latency, ect. and cloverpaint is an actual desktop exceeding tool while procreate is a sad toy. procreate cant even handle a 4k canvas with 3 layers wothout sputtering and crashing 🙄🙄🙄 cloverpaint eats up DOZENS of 4k layers with ease on a high end android. my s8 ultra is literally my favorite material possession. i feel sorry for anyone slumming it with an ipad 🤣🤣🤣 i couldnt resell my 4th gen air fast enough.
@@aa-tx7th your procreate can't handle 3 layers cuz your iPad is shitty. Buy a better one. I'm using the new gen 11.5 inch and I've went up to 200 layers on a 4k canvas. Pls stop blaming on the software and maybe do your research instead. My iPad mini can't support procreate at all so it's Def the iPad models problem ( actually it's your problem for not doing research beforehand)
It was in there, but as a MUCH earlier version, when it was still called CrazyTalk Animator. Now they are up to version 5, and the software is called Cartoon Animator 5. It has come SO far now and can do some amazing things. Ive been using this software for over a decade now.
@@GarryPye And you are the artist behind so many of the backgrounds and assets they offer in the Marketplace... I own a WHOLE BUNCH of your assets at this point. :)
@@thearcaneartbyjac5170 Thats so encouraging to hear, thank you. Ive been both an animator and developer with Cartoon Animator now for over a decade and I love this software. Put simply, it does everything I want in a way that is fast, fun and easy and gives em the results I want. Thank you for your support!
