Ichigo was only using a "portion" of his real abilities in the entire series. Dude was being held back by plot and now finally gonna come out with his full potential.
I'm honestly upset they put Kale above Gohan for a DB character on here. Guy was at the time, and still is with the new movie, the most popular anime character with hidden potential/abilities.
Yu Yu Hakusho is what got me into anime, and wow, that was like 20 years ago! Man time flies, I have watched anime damn near every day since. There is something for everyone, it covers every genre plus some.
Can I ask what is so interesting in THAT character? He is basically Endeavor's version in JoJo's franchise - he is emotionless, chilly, heartless and likes solving problem using violence. Not to mention he treats people like air - crying down his mother, pushing women who likes him or sentence that for him dophins are more interesting than his own wife and daughter (why Araki didn't explained how such a wooden character like him was able to get married?) It is also difficult to support him, because his plot armour is definately too high - always magically has ace in the hole (e.g. having newspaper inside his clothes or replacing his body into a doll having his jacket), while his Stand is definately the most broken in the entire francise (it stops time and prolongaty fingers without having requem mode). I consider him as the worst JoJo's protagonist - even Jonathan has more charisma than him. As the best protagonist consider I Joseph, who is the most reliable, funny and empathetic protagonists in JOJO'S anime.

Also, you say that you aren't talking about Jotaro's Stand, but the ability to stop time is part of Star Platinum. And what Tenchi Masaki? The fact that he isn't just an inheritor of the Jurai lineage, but was created by the three goddesses to be their counterpart, both in stopping them if they go crazy, and just as their mate. Or Ash Ketchum having the power of Aura?
Did Black Clover dirty with the choice of clips. It had to be those 2. 1st clip was the seabed temply arc fight where that infamous clip of asta running is from (fixed on blu-ray) and the other clip being witch's forest arc fight where scheduling was so bad, animators were free to do whatever. People did like that episode cause it was daring.
Tenchi Misaki in Tenchi Muyo with his Light Hawk Wings. No person should be capable of generating them. The only known source was Juraian Royal Tree ships which can create Light Hawk Wings as they were created from the body of Tsnami one of the Chousin -- three goddessess who created this UNIVERSE! While their entended function is impenetrable shields, a wing can be used in offensive weapons (the ultimate F you up sword). Imagine if the Royal English Navy had ships cruising the universe, had a piece of a universe-creating goddess that allowed them a perfect defense that could be transmuted to offense when needed...and THREE of these weapons were in a goofy teenager.
Why is the insane hidden power nearly always dark and demonic? About the only exception I see in this list is Deku's One-for-All and its cargo of bonus Quirks. Everything manifested by everyone else is always flavored with fire and brimstone, and that's starting to bug me.
There’s one character in DragonBall whom nobody realizes is overpowered… Puar. The only rule is that he can’t become stronger by shapeshifting. No limits to how massive, small, sharp, heavy, loud, bright, hot, acidic, fast… heck, he can become Bulma’s Time Machine and just create a new timeline. Or he could become Goku’s greatest weakness: a needle. Technically half kidding, Goku’s real greatest weakness is his own immune system. Puar would just need to administer his own blood to Goku, and if Goku’s immune system overreacts and kills him, no dragon can bring him back.

Saitama counts because of how rarely he gets the chance to show off, but really, you earned the like for Zatch Bell/Konjiki no Gash. That show was a hidden gem.

Anime has a pattern: there usualy is a "good power" and a "Bad Power" on the lore. While ocident goes by "star wars" rules where the dark power is induring, but light thriunphs at the end, anime usually let the lore be set when the Protagonist uses the "Bad power" for the good, not by the virtudes of "Good Power". Yusuke has demonik blod; Naruto has Kuubi; Goku is an alien conqueror; etc. Crazy religious people may be right... Anime maybe is trying to make the youth thinks "maybe I can get away with using Satan's powers".
The writing also suffered. Mother's Basement literally made a video roasting this series, calling it The Worst Anime You Can't Stop Watching. I don't think it would matter if it had consistently good animation seeing how the source material suffered the same decline. The fact that it switched studios and had garbage animation makes it's fall from grace even worse and has officially killed any reason for anyone to watch it including myself. So no, The Seven Deadly Sins was never a masterpiece to begin with, but season 3 and the manga's final arc were the final nail in the coffin.
