@@omnipotent87 no the death definitely pissed me off. Scar just ends her out of nowhere at the end of the episode instead of being kept alive as a companion or in a lab somewhere to later be fixed when the got the stone or something. Just build up the sad story and off her.
Idols in Japan are not like in the United States or other places. Most (even the popular ones) are not making a lot of money. I think they even make a point of it in the show. Also, there are all sorts of retired famous people who live in regular homes. @@FrancisBurns
Dragonballs in a nutshell. I don't know why it's so legendary. I liked it as a kid, but its so cringeworthy now. They should leave it in the past where we can have nostalgia rather than reminding us over and over that it secretly sucked.
@@MikadoYumaabsolutely not. I’m a 21 year old who has seen tons of anime over the last 10 years, with my favs being Monster, AOT, FMAB, Vinland saga among some other amazing ones. I hadn’t seen a single episode of Dragon ball at all as a kid or teenager. 3 months ago I just watched dragon ball from episode one all the way through the Buu saga and like…it’s fun dude. It’s not mind blowing but it’s so fun to watch the feeling of watching grounded martial arts combat slowly become high concept god-like brawls is really satisfying
@@MikadoYuma Don't worry kid, you'll get over your chuuni phase soon and then you'll learn how to have fun again. Death in Dragon Ball is basically like losing a party member in an RPG, and the Dragon Balls are the Phoenix Downs. It's not meant to tug at your heart strings and give you grey hairs. That Piccolo death wasn't great, but it's not what anyone is there for either. It's like going to McDonald's and complaining that there's no lobster.
In regards to the deaths like Sasha's...everyone would love to have a heartfelt goodbye, or to go out fighting..but in real life..sometimes people just die, and I respect the fact that's mirrored in some shows.
Right? I mean there are badly written stories, sure, but sometimes with videos like these, people seem prejudiced against random pointless deaths. Well, sometimes shit just happens, you know. People die by eating bad food, by tumbling down steps by being kicked by a horse... That's life, and having a character die like that, especially a great fighter, can be a brutal gut punch for the reader/viewer, precisely because it feel unsatisfying.
*Leaves from the vine, falling so slow, like fragile, tiny shells, drifting in the foam, little soldier boy, come marching home, brave soldier boy, comes marching home*
Nanami death pissed people off but it’s because Mei Mei escape her battle and went to Malaysia, a place where Nanami always wanted to go. If you compare the two Nanami is someone who cares for others and Mei Mei only cares for herself yet she survived and Nanami didn’t It’s not death itself but rather he never had a chance to do something he wanted and a person who’s looking after themselves was able to
What bothers me most is that Curses will get the nastiest beat downs, get decapitated, and left in pieces, but one bad touch and it's lights out for homeboy?
Ace died because of his own stupidity, he had multiple opportunities to escape but wasted it all away, even made whitebeard pirates sacrifice themselves in vain.. none in my friend group felt sad at ace's death
Sorry I don't feel emotion for Rolo he unlived Shirley spoilers for Code Geass went like oh I'm going to take the Lelouch all for myself and exhausted himself for the same person who literally d!es four episodes later
@@heroboygamebase2286 no it wasn't. For me it's like a gimmicky superhero war arc. Sevral hero dies. One villain dies. Protagonist hero in insufferable defeated. Heroes are wounded in battle. It's same thing as infinity war.
Sasha’s death in attack on titan hurt. It was hard for me to continue the rest of the season after. I eventually saw the rest, but Sasha dying was hard to see
Actually, Akame ga Kill anime deviated from the Manga version. The anime killed off Tatsumi and Mine, Akame kills enemies in a desert. The manga made Mine and Tatsumi survive, albeit the former a wheelchair bound woman and latter merged with his weapon. Akame was going to the place where her own weapon was made, to dispel the drawback she suffers from using it.
Actually people consider Mitty's death from first season as a right one. Her resurrection in second season is considered just as an author's laziness - somehow he needed to bring Nanachi to a plot standstill.
I forgot how much these deaths angered me and made me cry. And then youtube recommends this video. I didn't have to watch this video, but I wanted to know if it still affected me. And it still does.
I know that JJK's Shibuya's arc did upset people with fan favorite's death, it was meant to show the length on what Geto's curse manipulation and his new world god complex is capable of and this is a result in gruesome deaths, mostly to get to Itadori since he was controlled by Sukuna, Mahito killing innocent people and his allies with Geto's allies wreaking havoc, and pushing Itadori to stop this before Mahito do anything else heinous, and witnessing Geto releasing more and more curse spirit's.
I agreed at first but tbh the list is deaths that pissed people off. I think thats why Jiraiya wasn’t on there either. Both of those are deaths that make you sad and tear up not really deaths that piss you off idk.
Ace feels "right" to me because he seemed like one of the ones _who meant it_ calling Whitebeard Pops. I feel like he would still have died even without Luffy there, going back to stay with Whitebeard instead of fleeing. Basically, he's fated to die, unless somehow every other Lieutenant reached him unharmed and convinced him to run away.
I wasn't pissed at Pip's death in Hellsing Ultimate. It was a necessary tragedy to push Seras into fulfilling her vampiric potential, which she used to obliterate Zorin and her forces, plus Seras also guarded Integra in London, and assisted in the final push to destroy Millennium. Also, Pip's soul lives forever in Seras, and not in a poetic sense, he is conscious and content within her, acting as a familiar and companion.
Can’t believe people thought that song was supposed to be a cheering anthem to give people hope. Even before I heard the Eng. dub of it, it sounded like something that the Joker would sing to Bruce after murdering someone. It’s obviously mocking.
this video just proves the point ive been saying for years, don't kill off beloved characters and then bring them back. it makes their deaths mean less and bring less to the overall story. Stop it, it's not appreciated or funny. it doesn't work for Optimus and it doesn't work for anime characters either, just stop it.
Half of this list could be JJK, they kill off characters before we can make a connection with them so I don't feel anything when they die. Author is terrible at character building.
@@FrancisBurnspeople complain when characters have plot armor and Gege is out here trying to create a story without it. And people claim that that’s bad writing as well. Not having BS plot armor means that you don’t have to complete your arc. It’s a story. Characters exist in this dangerous world. The idea that a character has to get to a certain point in their journey before being killable is a restrictive idea and spits in the face of the freedom of storytelling.
His death was properly sad and put we the viewer into that same space as the characters hearing about it. Plus, he went out like a badass, fighting to the very end, while getting crucial info off.
Also very annoying it wasn't Shaltear, with all the buildup. Or even since he's so far beneath her, she is impressed enough he damages her to make him into a toy, and _then_ he is killed by a future antagonist, putting a target for Shaltear on their back for the audacity of "slaying her pet"
The entire list could be just everyone in Witchblade after Shiori Shiori is necessary to show the negatives of the Clone blades, especially overusing the power.... *And then nobody learns the effing lessons!* Worse yet, the show goes to great pains to show many of those who would go on suicide charges fully understanding how it happens, but then throwing them in totally avoidable situations where they do it anyway. Shout out to Nishida _for dying as part of a frigging slideshow!_ She wasn't even animated, what the frak?!? And then to make the decisions even dumber, the writing is clearly setting up a sort of "defeat means friendship" adoption by the heroine of the younger characters, who spent most of the series wanting to connect to a mother figure, or becoming "mothers" themselves after finding out that the synchronization process gives them finite life. I can only imagine they believed that they had at least two seasons, but found out they didn't at the last moment, so tried to make a Gundam style high stakes ending but botched it, what with having no setup for any of it and no budget either
Skimmed through and I know a few that should definitely be on here and some I’m surprised aren’t Nina Tucker - Fullmetal Alchemist (both versions) Yuya & Zuzu’s counterparts - Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V The Ignis - Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS Leomon - Digimon Frenda - A Certain Magical Index Children and Norma Soldiers - Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons Kanae, Kisaragi, and others - Elfen Lied Lahar - Fairy Tail Nami - Full Metal Panic Warrior & Wizard - Goblin Slayer Shoko - Happy Sugar Life Children - Inuyasha Jonas Gallea & Rickert - Izetta The Last Witch Shitennou - Sailor Moon Crystal
One character that I can think of is Lock-on Stratus from 00 Gundam. The main shooter of the Gundam meister's went to the battle with only one eye to face the man who killed his parents and sister and I suicide bombing. For only for his twin brother taking up the name and finishing him off. Now I don't watch One piece but the character known as Ace died and everybody was very upset about that. I think this list could go even higher on the number.
I don't know, this collection is more centered about 2010s anime onwards, because if we consider previous decades, well there are touching or emotionally crushing deaths that IMHO are on par or superior to these titles like: 1)Rose of Versailles: Andrè Oscar 2) Fist of North Star Rei Shu Yuza of Cloud 3) Gundam 0080 Bernie 4) Saint Seyia Camus Shura Siegfried 5) Tiger Mask Daigo Daimon 6) Macross plus movie edition Guld Goa Bowman 7)Macross DYRL Roy Fokker 8) Uchu senkan Yamayo (also remake) Okita
Nanami died in manga so they had to adapt it plus Nanami would have died in his first fight with him if not for Yuji 20:49 Peak of life ? being overpowered by Dagon and Jogo is not peak Trapped inside Dagon's Domain, Nanami was unable to take any offensive position whatsoever. However, he miraculously survived Dagon's endless stream of Death Swarm shikigami for over a minute, something that surprised him the domain's caster. Once Megumi arrived and nullified Dagon's automatic hit with his own Domain, Nanami focused on protecting Megumi and was easily able to dispatch any shikigami that tried to attack the student despite his injuries.[23] Despite being heavily injured by Dagon and later burned by Jogo, Nanami massacred an entire swarm of transfigured humans attempting to kill him. Mahito 's victims- 3 of Junpei Yoshino's classmates Junpei Yoshino Nagi Yoshino - By placing one of Sukuna's fingers in her house, attracting a cursed spirit who killed her. 3 unnamed men Kokichi Muta Roughly a thousand civilians in Shibuya Kento Nanami Nobara Kugisaki (Possibly)
People always forget that, so long as Piccolo has enough energy left; and so long as his brain is still fully intact, then he's capable of regenerating from anything. It was still a stupid scene though, but then again; so are *most* of the scenes in all of new Dragon Ball.🙄
*spoilers* Sasha's death literally made me give up on Attack on Titan. I was really invested in the story and was somewhat excited for the (at the time) new season. Then they introduce a bad character who can't fail, and then she shoots my favorite character. Absolute worst way to kill a character
Sasha dying is one of the reason why GABI is the worst character in AOT but for me the reason why I hate Gabi is because SHE MADE FLOCH NEARLY DEAD, I LOVE FLOCH'S CHARACTER, #YEAGERISTS
the one at 1:51 from parasite, i wasnt mad about her death i was mad at her for her death, it was fully avoidable the mc kept telling her not to follow that feeling yet she ignored him and got herself killed thinking it was him
You could fill this list with FMA character deaths, but I'll single out one : Maes Hughes. Literally my favorite character, and dies way too early in the series. Plus, he died just to boost the already boosted Mustang.
What about Satoshi from Corpse Party: Tortured Souls?! After losing his sister in a hellish dimension that nobody asked to visit he dies because of a stupid piece of paper.
That anime adaption of the first Corpse Party game fails because it's nothing more than an adaption of all of the game's bad ends and by that I mean the most disturbing ones for shock value including lead hero Satoshi's death.
OHoh, shion's death DEFINITELY pisses me off the most out of the 20 of them, and ALSO with jolyne's part from jjba of her dying as well,😔 and so does the OTHER anime series outside of the list, when the female characters that were KILLED by their male enemies/opponents in battle, such as violence jack, castlevania nocturne, ninja scroll and others more that I've seen, that were TOTALLY fupped up female character deaths from here.😡 Which eventually causes me to post *comments* that I'd make those certain female characters from *certain* clips in various anime series STRONG and MIGHTY enough to overpower their male enemies/opponents in battle, just to let it out and all.👊💀
Never try Blade of the Immortal then, I guess! 😅 Most of those who survived (Hyakurin, Makie) *wished they were dead* I'm sure! Hiroaki's other works are even more messed. I don't know how they're going to get Beageruta aired _when one of the underage girls is eaten alive!_ By other people no less, not some random demon thing. Pieced up and plated up! 😆 If he ever gets the pitch off the ground it will be the first non hentai direct-to-BD in 30 years! Dude is working through some stuff, I think
Beageruta and blade of the immortal were made by the same author named hiroaki? Not that I've ever heard of them, but if *blade of the immortal* on the other hand involves a female character killed by her male enemy/opponent in battle, besides 2 surviving characters wished they were dead, then I appreciate you telling me about how the story events goes. Beageruta just involves young girl characters eaten alive in that series huh? Well I should stay away from those then, since certain anime authors had to fup it up for certain female characters, I mean how DARE they you know? I appreciate the work they put in the animation though, and the same series should be made in video games for me to play as the disadvantaged or killed female characters to beat the ship out of their own enemies/opponents in battle, but at least "jojo's all star" was made for sure
Kana's Death sucked for multiple reasons, she was a fan favorite, she was more interesting, & we never knew if she actually could detect parasites, they just killed her off without answering that one.
Glad I’m not only one who is mad about some of these Ponzu’s death was just unnecessarily brutal for a cool character Miki’s death like ponzu’s was just so brutal but it fits for the context of the story AI’s death is just tragic Neji’s will forever piss me off since he died for a ship. Hinata sacrificed herself in the Pain arc so there was no need imo For Guren Lagan Kamina’s death ruined it for me Lafter’s was so unnecessary it still hurts Sasha’s death while essential for the story hurts it could’ve been Connie Honestly every death in Akame ga Kill could be on this list only silver lining is that tatsumi and mine live in the manga And If I had to add a death for me Euphiemia from Code Geass not only did it ruin Suzuka for me( I was shooing them hard), You’re telling me that one of anime’s smartest characters has a completely dumb moment and tells her to go commit genocide? Like he could’ve said anything but that 😭
I kinda liked Ponzu a lot to be honest a good scout character sad that she died by gun and eaten away when I first watched I was terrified and almost crying
Season 3 Overlord, where author deliberately made me emotionally attached to a worker group Foresight, only to slaughter them later. It's sad how the original anti-hero theme took a turn to disgusting super-villain, not just a super-villain, but disgusting super-villain.
