Any specific play? He has been having a great even this far, but that's not really what Top 20 play highlights are about. Being consistently great does less for you here than being decent most of the time and having one or two moments that are just incredible.
@@Gabriel64468 I would say primarily the fight in game 2 vs g2 where he jarvan eq to both cancel Ornn ult and get on caps azir at the same time (if Ornn got ult off dhokla most likely dies), eventually backing off only to eq flash back on to caps to kill him with ignar. I would say that fight was played pretty perfectly by contractz and is what led to them getting control of the game. He also had a nice eq flash on yike later to follow yikes flash but I don’t think that was nearly as impactful as most of the plays on this list, but it looked cool.
G2 being mentioned four times, yet not advancing to the quarterfinals, it feels so weird that a team with this potential did not make it further in the tournament
Really feel like that Pyosik play (#19) should of been significantly higher. Most people, even pros, will try to time a Q into the TP, but this man ward hops to position himself to kick/ult the enemy into his team as soon as the TP goes through. It sounds simple and maybe a no-brainer now but i's actually a BIG deal. This play oughta be studied by Lee Sin players and adopted. The ward hoping to pre-position as a mechanic by itself seems to fly under the radar because it seems like players rely on landing Q first for any play. Anyway, I think this play should be named after him, AKA, "the Pyosik".
Zika should be there, and pretty high. Also, that Keria play to me is top 1, and honestly one of the best I've seen in Worlds. People don't get how hard it is to do what he did there, mechanically scary.
You would think NA hasn't been a wildcard region for half a decade from the amount of circlejerk their fans enjoyed from NRG having the easiest swiss matches by a long shot. Not saying EU didn't suck just as much, but as a VCS supporter, watching both sides fighting over the crumbles LPL/LCK left over is quite amusing to me
@@ipos3207 sure sure. Let's also hope that "The Hope of the West" has flown back safely to Europe after getting a beatdown from the wildcard region NA right?
Having the Mikyx engage on place 13 feels so weird when i look at top plays that are even higher. That engage from Mikyx saved them the game and let G2 come bac in the game by obtaining the Elder and Baron right after the fight.
Impact on the gameoutcome isn't (and shouldn't) be the biggest deciding factor. A great play is great even if the team doing it afterwards ends up losing, it is about the skill shown within that one play and the impact on the fight within the clip (rather than the entire game). Still a great play, great foresight for miky to be there at that moment, but I think 13th isn't a slight or something like that.
i love no3 play i would put it at no1, from the j4 eating ori + rakan r > good rumble ult > portal in + sick bard q flash on ad/sp > j4 3 man ult and trapping jax for a while > bard ult tower + janna > portal out. c9 memebers dying 1by1 like flies, xayah didnt even need to ult, felt like t1 just assassinated all of them, its vs NA(pfft) but this is peak t1 teamplay
G2 had great plays, they were just insanely inconsistent. And after that GENG series something happened.. they were just lifeless, only caps seemed to want a win.
