Train to Busan is the most emotional for sure

Luckily, I am no longer an amateur "horror movie viewer" when I watched the horrifying clips of 28 Days/Weeks later. Those vibrant eyes made the movie even more horrifying than the others, the screeches of the zombies are so natural and retains the original vocals of the infected making it more realistic.

They should reboot Reanimator, but with practical fx. No CGI.

Train to Busan is the only zombie/horror movie that had me crying at the end.

‘Night of the Living Dead’, ‘Rec’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Dawn of the Dead’, ‘Day of the Dead’ and ‘Train to Busan’ are equally awesome zombie movies.

Train to Busan was probably my favorite because of how realistic it is. Not the train part but the fact that there was like a 3 second scene where people were posting videos of the Outbreak on RU-vid. Like that's good directing.

Ok, so, I REALLY think that Cargo should’ve been on the list. I thought the zombie design was clever ( did you know they’re loosely based off viruses that infect ants? ), and there was a lot of political commentary in it. The cast/ acting was phenomenal too, and some of the wide shots of the Australian wilderness was chilling. Really gave you a desolate feeling. Plus, the storyline was completely heart wrenching. What would you do if you had 48 hours to live?

‘Braindead’ AKA ‘Dead Alive’ was both terrifying and hilarious indeed.

Before seeing the list, my top 3 are: (1) Night of Living Dead (2) 28 Days Later (3) Train To Busan They all impacted me in a different way. I like Zombieland but I prefer suspense rather than humor in my Zombie flicks. It may or may not be on the list but while World War Z is a good movie only because of its budget, I despise how it went the opposite route of the book which was awesome.

For me, the best zombie movie would always be "Train to Busan"

My favorite zombie films are Night of the Living Dead (1968), Day of the Dead (1985), The Last Man on Earth (1964), and The Omega Man (1971). All great films. I love this list, by the way. 🖤🖤🖤

My top 3 1-Train to busan 2-Shaun of the dead 3-Return of the living dead My number 1 was shaun for years but after first watching train it changed it was sad action packed gory story amazing characters lovable and hateable its done so well that America is actually doing a remake and it will bomb big time

Scouts guide to a zombie apocalypse is by far the best comedy with the genre

Seen many zombie lists, most of them will have Dawn Of The Dead (2004, Remake) on Top 5 or top 10, and to see that it didn't even make it to the list, but instead you see Cockneys vs Zombies & Little monsters on the Top 20 just insane. These two films don't belong on top 20 in my opinion, no problem with the other picks.

Could you be anymore predictable with the number 1 slot? I don't think you surprised anyone. Quite disappointed.

Train to Busan should've been number 1 in my opinion. It's the best zombie movie because the zombies are very terrifying, they multiply very quickly and you're easily dead in a world with them. The cast was amazing and each character had their spotlight.

I remember I watched "One Cut of The Dead" with my family. Trust me, the first half will leave you confused. The second half is the reason why the film is hilarious.

Train to Busan should be number 1. The movie was super realistic, well acted, spot on and flawless. I'm not even asian but the movie was really really brilliant. Far better than anything hollywood makes today The only western zombie movie I'd really say I love is The Walking Dead...not really a movie but that was also good. Dawn of the Dead was not bad but not the best. So Train to Busan all the way because I enjoyed it so much! Train to Busan is also a serious movie not some boring childish zombie prank movie. I love movies that are real and serious, so Train to Busan wins.

Return of the Living Dead is, in my opinion, the very best zombie film ever. A rad punk rock soundtrack, fast zombies, and the introduction of the “Brains” mythos.

Yesterday I watched Train To Busan for the sixth time or so and I enjoyed it thoroughly once again, that ending with the little girl singing and crying her heart out it’s just pure genius, I can’t help from crying every time.

Train To Busan is the best zombie film ever made. FACT. It has heroes, true villains, heart, tension and fun. Granted, Peninsula isn't as good, but another FACT, it'd be impossible to create a sequel better than Train and people seem to forget that in comparing the two. Which is hugely unfair. It's still a worthwhile watch.

Pontypool deserves to be on this list, it’s better then a lot of the films on here and definitely has been the most unique take on the zombie movie in a while

Train to Busan is my favorite. It’s a zombie movie but with character growth. It’s more than your typical zombie movie.

If the zombie don't run then the vicarious horror's no fun

I like that you've added some more recent and less-known movies such as Little Monsters, The Girl with all the Gifts and One Cut of the Dead. I think the focus on the more well-known movies loses the focus. Yes we have to acknowledge Romero for bringing the concept of zombies into modern cinema but not all of his zombie movies fall into the best 20. You are giving them too much credit for minor changes to the zombie genera while ignoring movies that made substantial changes to the genera. Some examples: CARGO. A strong story told mainly from one person's perspective and trying to survive while getting from A to Z instead of. holding up in one location. THE DEAD is a similar story and in some ways more effective but acting is not as strong. KINGDOM. This was the most obvious film missing from your list as there are few pre-modern zombie movies. If we have a hard time containing zombies now, what would people do pre-modern weapons. Hard to separate this from the series of the same name so you might have to incorporate both. There is one scene, but it might be in the series, where the zombies just run mindlessly into a pit full of sharpened spikes but just keep filling the pit until the later zombies can just cross over on the bodies of the other zombies. Shows why the concept of the undead is such a scary one. ALIVE. This represents the fear of many, even for normal hazards, of living in an apartment building when things don't go right. This one works in part as the characters come across as very real for the world they live in and how they cope. Also the zombie action is on a larger scale and the zombies retain some of their human skills. The American version ALONE is not bad but harder to accept those characters are as in trouble as they should be and the plotting is slower.. THE NIGHT EATS THE WORLD is in many ways a more watchable film like this but does tend to focus more on the man and his mentality than the cause of the problems. THE CURED. This provides a completely different view of zombies than any of the other movies. I'd recommend it over many on your list even if I'm not a great fan of it. The TV series IN THE FLESH tells this story so much better that I'd rather show that to people than the movie. But both offer an aspect of the genera not found elsewhere. COLIN. Another different perspective from the view of the zombie. Lots of production problems but for its low budget, it still gives scares and some laughs. soldiers

I'm a big zombie fan. Train to Busan is my favorite horror movie of all time. One Cut for the Dead is great.Other favorites are Shaun of the Dead(Zombies v Cockneys is good), Dawn of The Dead(2004), Day of the Dead(1986), Girl with all the gifts(both the book and movie are great). As well as 28 days/weeks later.

I usually don't agree with most of your lists but this one was almost spot on. I thought for sure you'd leave off Dead Alive AKA Braindead but its there. My favorites are Dawn Of The Dead (original) Train To Busan and 28 Days Later.
